Yesterday, there were about 75,000-100,000 people (That’s the estimate I’m being given. It’s hard to be more exact than that because we haven’t heard from all the organizers yet, not every rally had a news story, and there were apparently a number of last minute rallies added that we didn’t have listed) who went to roughly 150 Day of Resistance rallies across 39 states. Rand Paul cut a video for the event at the last minute and there were tens of thousands of dollars worth of guns and ammunition that were given or raffled away. Additionally, to the best of our knowledge unlike the Occupy Movement, there were no arrests, rapes, murders, or attacks on the police. It was just law-abiding Americans who love their country and 2nd Amendment rights, peacefully gathering to exercise their Constitutional rights.

PS: Special credit goes to the people who attended the Salt Lake City rally. They were supposed to have the biggest rally of all, with thousands of people in attendance, but a blizzard piled on the snow and killed their numbers. On the other hand, it also made the pictures from that event look like out-takes from Red Dawn. So, what they lost in numbers, they made up in sheer visual awesomeness.

PS #2: Special thanks goes out to Dustin Stockton who came up with the idea of doing the rallies along with Western Representation PAC and The Tea Party.net which both put a lot of muscle and money behind the event to help get it off the ground. Among others, Tiffiny Ruegner of Women Warrior’s PAC, Jerri Ann Henry, Kellen Guida and Jared from The Looking Spoon (who did a lot of the graphics you saw everywhere) also did a lot behind the scenes to help make the event successful.
