The 7 Best Pure Writers On Conservative Blogs

As someone who writes for a living, I appreciate good writing. I also think there are a lot of extremely talented writers in the blogosphere who don’t get their due. So, with that in mind, I wanted to put together an unranked list of the best writers in the blogosphere. Note that “best writers” doesn’t necessarily mean best blogger. In fact, some of my favorite bloggers are not on this list because skill at cobbling together the words is just one facet of putting out great material. Speed, research, stats, volume, unique knowledge, judgment, experience, and perspective also matter. These are just the bloggers I enjoy reading because of their sheer talent for writing.

Ace from Ace of Spades HQ: An amazing mixture of humor, outrageous commentary, and deep thought. He can get a little “rambly” and still keep you riveted to see what insights he’ll offer up next.

Allahpundit from Hot Air: He’s surprisingly entertaining for a guy who has publicly labeled himself as a pessimistic Eeyore.

David Blount from Moonbattery: He has an electric, brash writing style that keeps you riveted to the page.

Vox Popoli: Intellectual, but raw — and always politically incorrect. It’s fun to see what Vox is going to say next.

Frank J. Fleming from IMAO: Not only is he funny, he has a talent for using his humor as a club to make conservative points.

Jonah Goldberg at The Corner: He has a great sense of humor, a deep understanding of history, and he’s a bit more whimsical than you’d expect at a deepy serious publication like National Review.

Emily Zanotti from Naked D.C.: She’s just so delightfully snarky!
