In keeping with the liberal practice of granting awards to those who least deserve them, Bill Clinton, best known for humiliating his family by having a sordid sexual affair with a woman young enough to be his daughter, has been named Father of the Year:

The National Father’s Day Council, which has been giving out such an honor for 72 years, has named Clinton one of its recipients for 2013. …

The not-for-profit group awards Father of the Year to “contemporary lifestyle leaders of our culture” …

Slick Willie certainly is a contemporary lifestyle leader of our culture. His disgusting behavior while in the White House — compounded by the shamelessness with which Democrats defended it — was a major milestone in our decay as a civilization.

Past winners of this award include Dem presidential candidate John Edwards, who fathered a love child with a bimbo while his wife was dying of cancer. No, I’m not kidding.

This isn’t any more ridiculous than granting the Nobel Peace prize to a terrorist pervert, a communist dictator, a snake oil salesman, and even Barack Hussein Obama.
