Guns Are Bad?

Growing up in California and getting my education through the Public School system, I inevitably was afraid of guns. I was taught that I should be terrified of anything that is created to kill and especially something that can misfire unexpectedly and kill yourself or a loved one. I personally have even gone shooting with various friends at gun ranges shooting off 15 rounds at a time with my eyes closed while the voice inside of me screamed that what I was doing was wrong, dangerous and bad. Mom’s Suffer Under the Obama Administration

As a Mom I feel I have more skin in the game than ever this election cycle. I’ve been paying close attention to the Presidential race to figure out what’s best for my family. Polls released last week by CBS News and NYT showed Obama with a 53-41 percent advantage among women. This week Obama and Romney campaigns went into high gear releasing ads targeted at women.
The ads were typical campaign fodder designed to tug at a mothers heartstrings:

Make no mistake that the Tea Party movement IS a war against taxes. This is a money war. There is a power struggle right now about who gets control of the money. The government or the people. Hitler Youth Would Tell You That Your Moms Lunch Sux Too!

My Dad is 1st generation American with his parents emigrating from Germany in the mid 50’s. Having grown up in a post WWII America where Germans were viewed suspiciously and as underclass citizens, his views have definitely been shaped from an interesting perspective. Dad and his siblings were always the “Axis” in Axis and Allies, the “Indians” in Cowboys and Indians. And they always had to lose. Needless to say Dad reflected more on the influence of Hitler than the average American child.

West holds out for Newt as he cleans up in Nevada Convention

The Nevada Republican Assembly  held their Presidential Endorsing Convention today. The event included a Presidential Straw Poll. The NVRA is Nevadas MOST conservative group in the state. Results below will reveal that true conservatives have not given up and that their chosen candidate in the Presidential race IS a conservative.

The Tea Party Mom’s Secret Christmas Gift!

Christmas is just a couple days away and as a single mom I am under the gun buying those last minute gifts. I feel guilty for not getting my son all he wants and I feel guilty for giving him too much. It is a fine balance between gifts that will enrich him and gifts that will entertain him.
