Birth or Butchery?

Life is cheap, where moonbats who believe in abortion are concerned. Should you let your child live, or kill it? You could flip a coin to decide. Or you could leave it up to strangers on an Internet poll, as Pete and Alisha Arnold of Minnesota are doing:

“Voting is such an important part of who we are as a people,” Pete told Gawker. “Here’s a chance where people can be heard about whether they are pro-choice or whether they are pro-life, and it makes a difference in the real world.” The possible papa says he wants to use this position of uncertainty to engage citizens in the ongoing abortion debate or use this fetus (a boy they call “Wiggles”) to teach us how every vote counts or blah blah blah.

Whatever this is, “it’s definitely not a pro-life campaign,” maybe-mama Alisha assured Gawker. “I believe in a woman’s right to choose.” Apparently, she also believes in the Internet’s right to choose for her.

Fortunately voters have been in favor of showing mercy:

As of this post, the vote is approximately 78 percent “give birth” to 22 percent “have an abortion,” with more than 17,000 votes total. This is a distinct upset from earlier today when “have an abortion” was firmly in the lead, thanks to a strong voter turnout from the 4chan demographic, those Internet pranksters that once skewed a vote to make North Korea a winning country on Justin Bieber’s tour schedule.

Pete has no problem with 4chan freakazoids encouraging people to vote to abort his son out of sheer wickedness.

“I see 4chan as encouraging people to vote in the poll,” he writes on the blog. “How they do it is beyond my control and should not influence decisions about what we are doing here.” In the end, he wrote, “we don’t see a difference between this and what politicians or supporters do in regards to campaigning.”

The whole tasteless stunt is apparently a Balloon Boy style bid for attention. The Arnolds admit that the poll results won’t be binding. At least it has drawn some attention to how frivolously we have come to regard human life since the Supremes imposed a “right” to abortion.

Just in case it helps save a life, you can vote at Birth or Not.

To kill or not to kill? The parents don’t seem to care.
