We’re Not The Only Ones!

Certainly, its clear by now that Al Gore probably doesn’t intend on challenging Hillary and Obama and that other guy for the Democratic nomination. Not only is it to far into the game, not only is he lacking funds, but eight years under the Other Clinton has probably taught him the problems associated with challenging Hillary on her own turf–namely, small electric kitchen appliances hurling through space toward your head.

But that doesn’t mean that other prominent Democrats can wish on their shooting star that Al Gore would take the reigns of, in their opinion, a tortured nation suffering under George W. Bush’s stubborn unwillingness to cave to the global left-wing…so much so that they’re about to be on the receiving end of a personal protection order.

Former President Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2002, said on NBC’s “Today” show Friday that he considered Gore the most qualified person to be president and that he hoped the Nobel Prize “might lead him to consider another political event.”

“I’ve called Al Gore and urged him to run for president so many times,” Carter said on “Today.” “He finally told me the last time, ‘President Carter, please do not call me any more.‘ “

Clearly, we’re not the only ones wishing that Carter would quit trying to influence every aspect of political life and go back to his whirlwind tour of Southern McDonalds. Even Al Gore the patron saint of all things progressive is nearing the edge. Luckily for Al, Carter isn’t giving up. He still has the news media, the United Nations and that row of cedar arborvida where he can watch Al with his night vision goggles.
