Folks, next week the immigration bill is coming back and despite the fact that conservatives, Republicans, and the American people overwhelmingly oppose it, the momentum seems to be in its favor.

This bill will be a disaster for the Republican party and more importantly, for America. So, contact your Senators and let them know that your future support for them hinges entirely on whether or not they oppose cloture on this bill.

Here’s how you can get in touch with them,

#1) Pick up the phone and call your Senators. You can get the numbers and/or email addresses of your home state senators here.

#2) Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee at (202) 675-6000 and let them know that you will not support the reelection of any senator in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.

#3) Call the Republican National Committee at (202) 863-8500 (option 1) and let them know you will not support any candidate in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate

Again, if you don’t want to call them, email them or fax them.

When these clowns get back from their Memorial Day break on Monday, let’s make sure that they have plenty of reminders (emails, voice mails, faxes) waiting for them so that they will realize that the intensity hasn’t died down while they were away.

Contact Your Senators!

Pick up that phone, write that email, send that fax — heck, do all three if you’re so inclined.

But, whom do you contact?

#1) If you have a Republican senator, pick up the phone and call him or her. You can get the numbers and/or email addresses of your home state senators here.

#2) Call the National Republican Senatorial Committee at (202) 675-6000 and let them know that you will not support the reelection of any senator in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate.

#3) Call the Republican National Committee at (202) 863-8500 (option 1) and let them know you will not support any candidate in 2008 who votes for the amnesty bill in the Senate (Incidentally, a lot of you must be doing this already because when I called about 10 minutes ago, the mailbox was full.)

Again, if you don’t want to call them, email them or fax them. But also remember to be POLITE, but firm.

PS #1: I voted today and even though I am out in the boonies, we had cherry voting machines. They’re called iVotronics and as you vote, in real time, it prints out your selections so there will be a written record. So, if you were to point and click Michael Steele let’s say, on your left, it would immediately print out Michael Steele in the Senator’s slot.

Now, turnout should be down significantly from last time around, so the lines shouldn’t be as long on Tuesday as they were in 2004, but it’s a good idea to go ahead and vote early this week-end, when the lines will be short, if you can. At a minimum, it should save you some time and if you’re the impatient sort, who might be tempted to take off rather than wait in a long line or if you will get yelled at if you’re late for work, early voting might be the difference between getting a vote in or missing out.

And do make sure you vote, folks, no matter how the big races in your district are shaping up. There will be Republicans up and down the ticket that can use your support. Don’t let them down.

It’s called Dognooz and it’s nothing but videos featuring an angry, middle-aged white guy signing/rapping about why he hates Republicans as he hits bongos/drums! You’ve got to see it, if only to check MC Howard Dean’s (or whatever his name is) facial expressions!

Check out the Charles Pickering Blogad on the left. It actually has a quote from RWN in it. Pretty cool, huh? I had no idea they were going to do that, but I’m certainly flattered.

Pickering’s book is a good read as well, although I personally enjoyed the first 2/3′s or so, where he talked more about the great legal issues of the day more than the last 1/3, where he talked about the confirmation process. Not that the end wasn’t interesting, too, but because active judges can’t afford to really tell people what they think if they’ll have to face the confirmation process again, we don’t hear enough about some of the key legal issues that affect our country. That’s why it was particularly refreshing and informative to read someone as sharp and well spoken as Pickering talking about the issues so many other conservative judges can’t discuss.

Also, you can read the RWN interview with Pickering here.
