If Sarah Palin could pick stocks like she picks candidates…

…or, hell, maybe she can.

Ed Morrissey:

Despite media claims that the Tea Party has gone dormant and that Sarah Palin’s influence has waned, the candidates she backs for office have an uncanny knack for winning their elections

Of the nine candidates Palin’s endorsed this year, according to the story, five have already faced the voters, and all five have won. And these aren’t just contribution-rich frontrunner, either: candidates like Ted Cruz (TX) and Richard Mourdock (IN) were big underdogs, and then Palin endorsed them, and then they won significantly large victories.

That’s not necessarily causation, but it certainly is becoming a trend.

None of this undermines what I said earlier this week
: Dick Cheney was right. In 2008, nobody knew Palin would become the conservative darling and champion she is today. Nobody knew Palin could become that. In 2008, Palin was a bad pick.

But if McCain hadn’t made that bad pick in 2008, Would Palin have become what she is today? Probably not. So. With that hindsight, I guess: good pick, John.
