Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich will participate tonight n the Woodlands for a Lincoln/Douglas style debate at 6pm central. I’ll be there covering it, so follow me on twitter @KatMcKinley for live tweeting.

It will be a 90 minute debate hosted by the Texas Patriots PAC. There is no moderator. The two candidates will discuss and respond to each other’s positions on domestic policy.

The debate is divided into three parts,  Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.

It should be an interesting debate because it won’t be “gotcha questions,” since there is no moderator,  but it will be more of a civil, get deeper into the issues, debate. Thee candidates will have more time to explain their positions fully. I wish more of the candidates would do this.
