Syrian Sharia Enforcers Storm Female Wedding Party and Arrest 17 Women for Listening to Music
America’s spoiled feminazis complain constantly about a “war on women” because women have to, horror of horrors, pay for their own birth control or deal with the fact that in some states, getting an abortion isn’t easier than going to Walmart. It’s interesting that they completely ignore the real war on women, in places where women suffer under real violence and oppression. If they get confused, maybe they could talk to these Syrian women to see what that’s like.
On April 20, members of Deir Ezzor’s Al Sharia Law Authority, a controlling Islamic party that uses force to implement the conservative law enforced by extremist groups who control Deir Ezzor city and swaths of the east, stormed an all-female wedding celebration at a private home.
Seventeen women were detained for several hours. The team of men who held them gave the reason as listening to loud music and not wearing Islamic dress.
“While we were having my cousin’s wedding party in her family’s house, a man entered our room — which had been marked for female guests only — cursing and swearing and hitting,” says Miriam, a 31-year-old housewife. “He accused us of being lewd because we were listening to music and not wearing the Islamic attire.”
The incident, she says, “is new to us. We are used to holding our parties and weddings in our own way — a way that does not even contradict the Sharia law these Islamists are demanding we uphold.”
Women in many Middle-Eastern countries live in a world where they cannot work or go to school, listen to music or marry the person of their choice, they can’t vote or wear what they want or drive cars, and worst of all, can be murdered for the “crime” of being raped. This is the real war on women, the one that is so often ignored in the United States… because apparently, a lack of government funded birth control is far worse than atrocities such as these.
