While the form of treachery varies slightly from case to case, liberals always manage to take the position that most undermines American security. -- Ann Coulter

A Blogger Symposium On The 2004 Election: I got together last night in a chat room with Mike Hendrix from Cold Fury, Daniel Drezner, who is a monthly contributor to The New Republic Online & who was an unpaid foreign policy advisor for the Bush-Cheney 2000 campaign, Steve Martinovich, the editor and chief of Enter Stage Right, Bryan Preston from JunkYardBlog to discuss the 2004 election. ***Update***: The 9th Circuit Court in San Fran has just moved the recall back until March 7, 2004. I guess McClintock was right to hang in there, huh? How attractive is Arnold going to be by then? Will Davis be able to get back in the good graces of the voters? Will Bustamante renounce MECha beofore then? Will Simon or Peter Ueberroth get back in? Can Gary Coleman build up his support...and most importantly, will anyone still care by then?
John Hawkins: To begin with, unless Hilliary or Gore got in the race, I'd say Dean, Kerry, Gephardt, Lieberman, & Edwards are the only candidates with even an outside chance to get the nomination. Do you agree?
Pejman Yousefzadeh: Yes. But, Al Sharpton can definitely play spoiler and can make life miserable for the other candidates.
Laurence Simon: Not only will I put a "no" on Lieberman, but I would not count Sharpton out of it. Sharpton is not just a spoiler, but can rally the 'disenfranchised' voter. He could mount one heck of a protest vote.
David Hogberg: I'd leave Lieberman out -- the base wants a lefty, he's still too moderate. (Cont)
-- Ben Shapiro, a syndicated columnist with Town Hall among other publications, who also runs Ben Shapiro Online.
-- Allison Kaplan Sommer, an Israeli who wrote for "The Jerusalem Post" for 12 years and now runs An Unsealed Room.
After discussing the "Roadmap to Peace", the "Right of Return", "Transfer", among other things, I edited the chat down and posted it to RWN. Believe it or not, I think I qualified as a moderate in this crowd. Furthermore, if you're looking for optimism or the same tired political cliches that get tossed around these days about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, well, this may not be your cup of tea. A Chat About The War With Bill Quick & Andrew Stuttaford: I got together to discuss the war with noted author & blogger Bill Quick from Daily Pundit & Andrew Stuttaford, a contributing editor for National Review Online. John Little from Blogs of War was supposed to join us as well, but unfortunately technical problems prevented him getting in on the chat. After a bit of discussion, we decided to push on without John. Here is the edited transcript of our discussion that covered a variety of issues including how the war is going, media coverage of the war, the EU, France, Tony Blair and numerous other issues. (Cont)
