It was brought to my attention that Karl Rove offered some criticism of me on this site. What he said was rather harmless — though inaccurate. If you’ll forgive the shameless plug, the real story is in my book, SPEECH*LESS: Tales of a White House Survivor. I also offered some comments here:

The only thing that I really want to clear up is that I never, ever worked at the State Department, as Karl says, but at the Department of Defense. Quite a difference.
Although Rove thinks my criticisms of him are personal, they aren’t. I think he has lots to offer the GOP — as a commentator. I just happen to think his efforts — on spending, new entitlement programs, campaign finance reform, the McCain campaign, illegal immigration and unseating the conservative government of Texas last month — have left the Republican Party, and more important the conservative movement in an unrecgonizable mess. A mess from which we are still trying to recover.
