ObamaCare Collapses as Planned

No one — not even the mob of kooks, flunkies, and boobs comprising the Obama Administration — could possibly think ObamaCare would work. To build socialism, first you have to destroy capitalism. That’s the war. The objective of this particular battle is to build socialized medicine by destroying the healthcare insurance industry. That will pave the way for what collectivists euphemistically refer to as single payer:

Obamacare may have crashed sooner than the White House wanted, but it was always intended to end in failure.

The Affordable Care Act could not simply provide coverage for the uninsured while letting the rest of Americans keep their own health care at the same price.

As a small child might say, “No duh.”

Asked by Republicans about the NBC report that up to 80 percent of the 14 million Americans with individual policies will be canceled, [HHS Commissar Kathleen Supercilious] countered, “They can get health insurance. They must be offered new plans, new options, either inside the marketplace, or if they don’t qualify for a financial subsidy, they can shop inside or outside of the marketplace.”

In other words, Obamacare’s mandated standards – like maternity care, mental health coverage, mammograms and prescriptions – means Americans are forced into either spending up to double their previous premiums or going through the government.

Which do you suppose most people will do, especially with money so tight for the middle class in Obama’s economy?

The other way that the health care law is designed to force people into government programs is by expanding the Medicaid system, which is a budget-buster and a risk for worse health care.

The Stalinists I mean Democrats haven’t been keeping their plans particularly secret.

Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, said on Aug. 9 that Obamacare is just the first step to “work our way past” employer-provided health insurance to a government-run health care system.

“What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever,” the Nevada Democrat said on Vegas PBS.

Work forever? ObamaCare will never work for a moment. It wasn’t intended to.

When Mr. Reid was asked whether the country would eventually move beyond the private company insurance delivery for health care, he replied, “Yes, absolutely.”

The media that puts the likes of Obama and Reid in power is completely on board. That’s why it has been willing to report ObamaCare’s calamitous failure. From the LA Slimes:

As the old saying goes, even a blind pig finds an ear of corn sometimes. And so it is with Republicans and Obamacare: They’re right; it’s a mess and deserves to be euthanized, perhaps by its own special “death panel.”

And I have just the thing to replace it with: a single-payer healthcare system.

As with many liberal euphemisms, “single-payer” means the opposite of what you would think. There is no single payer under socialized medicine; everybody pays for everybody else. Everybody will continue to pay when the incremental Marxists move on to nationalize the next major sector of the economy.
