John Hawkins The Shorter Version Of The Enquirer Affair Story About Sarah Palin

Normally, I cover the Enquirer beat, but thanks to the sleazebags at Gawker, I don't even have to buy a copy of the rag to cover their "big" Sarah Palin story. Here's the short version,

Based primarily on the word of an ex-con, the Enquirer is claiming Sarah Palin had an unconsummated (unconsummated?) affair more than 10 years ago with a guy who is apparently still really good pals with Todd Palin today.

Gawker calls that story "plausible." I call it dopey, even from an outfit in an industry that publishes "batboy" stories.
