John Hawkins Quote Of The Day #2: Guess Who This Is?
"These are serious times and they call for a serious debate...spare me all the phony outrage. Spare me all the phony talk about change."

No, really, go ahead and guess.

Here's a hint: it's the politician in America who has spent most of the campaign season pretending to be outraged about attacks aimed at him and pushing the same policies that old, white politicians have been touting since 1972 under the rubric of "change."

That gave it away, didn't it? Yes, it was Barack Obama.

Remember back in the early days of Obama? He was supposed to be a "new kind of politician" -- a man who was positive, moderate, post-racial, different from all those old school liberals. Ah, he was so shiny and new -- of course, that was before Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, the patriotism flaps, the surge working, Operation Chaos, choosing Joe Biden, flip flopping a gazillion times, and making gaffe after gaffe after gaffe.

For a rookie politician, his act sure does seem to be getting old and tired.
