John Hawkins A Republican Who Deserves To Lose In November: Ted Stevens

Ted Stevens has won a primary in Alaska despite the fact that he has been indicted and looks to have taken bribes.

Let me be brief and blunt: Ted Stevens is every bit as much of a crook as Duke Cunningham was and he doesn't deserve Republican support in November. It's tough to lose a Senate seat, but better to lose a seat than to engage in the same sort of "look the other way" behavior that conservatives have criticized Democrats for so often (See Ted Kennedy, Marion Barry, and William Jefferson to name just three examples).

So, let me encourage all Republicans NOT to vote for Ted Stevens in November.
