John Hawkins Nah, Nah, Nah, Hey, Hey, Hey, Good-Bye Alberto! Hello Chertoff? Ugh!

Alberto Gonzales has resigned.

I would break out the dancing Snoopy because I'm so happy to be rid of him, but the fact that it will make the Democrats happy and that he will likely be replaced by the even more incompetent Michael Chertoff is nothing to cheer.

Talk about failing upwards -- what has Michael Chertoff ever done to show he deserves to be the AG? If you ask me, he was even worse than "Brownie" on TV during Katrina and he managed to severely irritate conservatives during the immigration battle.

Since then, he has made that embarrassing statement about his "gut feeling" and has been bemoaning how difficult it is to enforce our illegal immigration laws because a comprehensive illegal immigration package didn't pass.

If Chertoff were to follow Gonzales out the door, it would truly be a great day for the Bush administration.

PS: Is anyone sorry that Alberto wasn't nominated for the Supreme Court?
