John Hawkins Q&A Friday #67: Who Do You Want To Win, Hamas Or Fatah?

Question: "Who do you want to win, Hamas or Fatah?" -- BIG

Answer: Well, first off, I'd like to see the fighting drag on and be as long and bloody as possible. After all, the more they fight each other, the less time they have to murder Jews.

But, in the end, I'd prefer to see Hamas win. Now that may seem counter-intuitive, but there's not two dime's worth of difference between Hamas and Fatah. In fact, the only real difference between them is that Fatah is willing to give lip service to peace talks, which is good enough to convince naive Westerners that they're serious. Hamas won't even do that -- which, in the long run is probably a good thing.

Here's the reality: Hamas is evil, Fatah is evil, and honestly, even though Americans hate to believe such a thing about another group of people, most of the average people on the street are evil.

So, since we're talking about an evil group of people, it's better that they have an evil group like Hamas as their "face." That way, they'll get less sympathy, less foreign aid, and the Israelis will have a freer hand to deal with them.
