John Hawkins Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Iran...

Anyone who reads Right Wing News knows that I'm not a big fan of McCain, but too big of a deal is being made out of his singing bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran as part of a response to a question,

Note that the person asking him the question was asking about that subject and that the little ditty that McCain was singing was just a funny start to his answer -- and it was funny to me. It also reminds me of Reagan's little "the bombing starts in 5 minutes" joke about the Soviets.

As for the pro-terrorist nutjobs that run Iran, I expect that little joke struck them as worrisome, not funny, and that's a good thing, too. Iran is our enemy and our enemies should be one hell of a lot more concerned about what we'll do to them than vice-versa. That ratio seems to be a little out of whack with Iran and if McCain's little jest helps square things up a bit, that's a good thing.

I consult for the Duncan Hunter campaign through TCV Media.
