John Hawkins A Victory For Life In The Supreme Court

Back in 2000, when partial birth abortion came in front of the Supreme Court, Sandra Day O'Connor sided with the liberals on the court to overrule Congress and prevent the ban from being enacted. But, Samuel Alito is sitting in her spot and the Constitution actually prevailed over liberal political doctrine this time around.

So, let me be the first to say thank you, George Bush, for Samuel Alito. Granted, we conservatives did have to savagely attack him to stop him from putting his flunky Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court, but in the end, he did the right thing. And on days like today, when Alito played a key role, you get to see why the big fight to get rid of Miers and get Alito through Congress was worth the effort.
