John Hawkins Q&A Friday #62: If You Could Make A Movie, What Would It Be About?

Question: "If you were given a blank check to write and direct your own movie, what would it be about, and who would you cast?" -- maledicta

Answer: If I had a blank check, I would pay Frank Miller to write about Cortes vs. the Aztecs with Antonio Banderas in the lead as Cortes. Now that would be a story.

A tiny group of Spaniards, outnumbered in some battles 300 to 1, conquering an evil empire run by human sacrificing savages through skill, courage, superior technology, and ingenuity. It would be like '300' all over again, except the good guys in the film would get to win this time.

PS: I know that the conquistadors were greedy butchers, but the Aztecs were monsters and the Spanish did the world a favor by destroying their civilization.
