Here is the text of the speech delivered yesterday by the Taliban supreme leader Mullah Mohammad Omar from the Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press news agency...(My comments in green italics)
America shouldn't be mistaken. My death or the death of Osama Bin Laden will not bring America out of this crisis (True but it would be a great start!!).
If America wants to root out terrorism and intimidation, then it should withdraw its forces from the Gulf and demonstrate neutrality over the issue of Palestine (What if instead of doing that, we just go kill all every terrorist we can find and topple every government that supports terrorism, starting with yours?)
It should release Islam, which it has taken hostage in a spiritual form and should stop further interference (I have no idea in the world what he's talking about).
A good example of Islam as a hostage is the present situation which the Americans have created in Afghanistan (Ah-ha, I should of known that was coming). They want the end of the Islamic order; they want to create disorder, and they want a pro-American government (If by Pro-American you mean a government that doesn't condone terrorists spending 7 days a week training to murder our civilians you are right on target.)
In this case, where will the taste of Islam be for Muslims, and how angry and in what poor conditions will Muslims be? They the Americans have done this in many Islamic countries (As opposed to the Taliban which believes in cutting people's heads off for watching TV and stoning people to death if their beard doesn't grow fast enough).
America has no alternative in these affairs to locking itself in a bloody war in which it will burn itself and others, and which will have no result (Translation: We are such a bunch of big idiots that we've put the most powerful military the world has ever seen in a position where they almost have no choice but to kill us)
The American people and the government should consider this oppressive and ugly policy, which tells each Muslim: Accept my words; if not I will throw an atomic bomb (Well since you brought it up, bombs away!) on you and will close off the holes through which sustenance can reach you.
These are all facts. The distance travelled by a lie is short. (But the distance traveled by bull sh*t is long as evidenced by the fact that this transmission is reaching us from a cave in the middle of the Afghanistan).
