Obama Has Military Spending $150 per Gallon on Green Jet Fuel

The numbers are staggering. How do you run up a $17,500,000,000,000 debt, despite record high federal tax revenue? Only by wasting money with the malevolent arrogance of saboteurs attempting to spend the wealthiest country in history to death.

The global warming farce helps these saboteurs to accomplish this task by making any extreme of wastefulness politically feasible so long as the word “green” is attached to it. For example:

The Department of Defense (DOD) paid $150 per gallon for alternative jet fuel made from algae, more than 64 times the current market price for standard carbon-based fuels, according to a report released on Wednesday. …

The price for conventional jet fuel is currently $2.88 per gallon. GAO’s report reveals that federal agencies have paid significantly higher prices in an effort to promote biofuels in commercial and military aviation.

That is because the purpose of the US military is no longer to win wars, but to advance the liberal agenda. Part of that agenda is whacky environmentalist posturing. Another is wasting money for the sake of wasting money.

Some Keynesian fanatics may actually believe that wasteful government spending benefits the economy, as certifiable lunatic Paul Krugman likes to shout. Others believe that our still nominally free market economy has to be destroyed before socialism can be constructed in its place.

GAO interviewed 23 “academic, federal government, and private industry stakeholders” about challenges facing the increased adoption of alternative jet fuels. Twenty-two of them cited the fuels’ exorbitant costs.

The 23rd stakeholder was probably an Obama donor getting $150 per gallon to produce the boondoggle fuel, which is made out of algae oil, waste grease, and other unsuitable but politically correct crapola.

Reuters reported in 2012 that the Air Force had purchased 11,000 of alcohol-based jet fuel for $59 per gallon from a Colorado-based biofuel company.

That company, Gevo Inc., was backed financially by high-dollar Democratic donor Vinod Khosla, who has invested in a number of companies that have received federal support from the Obama administration.

A week before that story broke, the Navy spent $26 per gallon to fuel its Great Green Fleet during the 2012 Rim of the Pacific exercise.

From $26 per gallon, to $59 per gallon, to $150 per gallon… Pretty soon this will start to get expensive.

Money is not infinite, not even with the Feds augmenting their confiscatory taxation with inflation of the currency and massive borrowing from our children and grandchildren. If the spending isn’t stopped, Obama et al. will collapse the economy.
