EPA Envirofanatics Waste Our Money Overseas
The EPA doesn’t just impoverish us by suppressing economic activity. It also participates in the massive loot & waste operation that has put us on the fast track to Cloward-Piven collapse. Much of the taxpayer money it wastes goes overseas:
The Environmental Protection Agency has doled out nearly $100 million in grants to foreign groups and governments over the past decade, according to a new congressional report.
The report from Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee shows the pace of foreign grants has quickened under the Obama administration, with $27 million in EPA funds going abroad since early 2009 — not counting projects in Canada and Mexico.
That’s only the money that can be easily traced.
The report said an unknown amount of EPA grant money has also gone overseas “indirectly” via grants to U.S. universities and organizations doing work in other countries.
“At a time of record debt and soaring unemployment here in the United States, the committee has discovered that EPA has intensified its foreign grants program,” the report said.
Of course; we could be only months from the whole nominally capitalist system completely caving in, paving the way for true socialism. This is hardly the time to stop spending money we don’t have on ideologically motivated nonsense.
In case anyone still thinks there could conceivably be a legitimate justification for this outrage, it should be pointed out that a lot of the money is being thrown at the same people we are borrowing it from.
[S]ince 2009 $718,000 went toward “air pollution” efforts in China… A $7.6 million grant went toward “technical assistance” in Russia.
Both of these antagonistic nations have been gaining leverage over us by buying our massive, unsustainable debt.
But at least Russia and China aren’t openly bellicose toward us, unlike the UN:
Several million dollars went toward international groups like the United Nations.
However, not even the corrupt, anti-American, Islamo-socialist authoritarians running the UN are as inimical to our best interests as the EPA.
