Moonbat Tech: Bamboo Bicycles

Possibly because it grows so fast or because it’s associated with the exotic Orient, moonbats have decided that bamboo is “sustainable.” Even bamboo flooring, slathered in all manner of unpronounceable chemicals to keep it from splintering, is marketed as “green.” Bicycles are green too, not only because they represent pre-fossil fuel technology but because they symbolize the poverty implicit in communism, serving as the primary mode of transport in socialist hellholes like Cuba. Put bamboo and bicycles together, and you can impress even the Moonbat Messiah:

NEW YORK — President Barack Obama has found his inner geek and joined New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg at a science and engineering fair at the American Museum of National History.

The president on Tuesday whetted his appetite for energy saving innovations, checking out a bamboo bicycle, one of several projects featured in the final round of the New York City Science and Engineering Fair. He tells students: “There’s going to be a great demand for people with the skills you’re developing.”

Now we know what taxpayer-subsidized boondoggle is coming next from Government Motors after the Chevy Volt. On the bright side, maybe no longer having to buy motors for GM vehicles will reduce the deficit.
