There is accidental “hypocrisy,” where you didn’t actually realize that you have committed the logic/moral sin, and then there is rank hypocrisy, that time when you do two things that are totally opposite each other yet you defend both. The on-line computer backup company, Carbonite, has committed the latter over this business with Slutgate and its ending of advertising with the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

For those unaware, a long-time liberal activist named Sandra Fluke was brought to a faux committee hearing in D.C. by former Speaker of the House Nancy “Sanfran” Pelosi to disgorge the left-wing, big government, liberal ideology about spending federal tax dollars to give free sex supplies to rich Georgetown coeds so that they can sleep around all they want without all those messy consequences.

After her White House planned “testimony” Rush Limbaugh, as is his wont, called this woman a slut. It’s hard to defeat his blustery logic with that. After all, what DO you call a woman that thinks everyone else should pay for both her education and her sex supplies? Anyway, Rush made such a splash with the comment that the inevitable, left-wing faux outrage was ginned up.

As a result, Carbonite announced that it would pull its advertising from the Limbaugh show.

Carbonite’s CEO, David Friend, decided to pull his advertising even though Rush issued a formal apology.

No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse

OK, you say, so what? Carbonite has every right to advertise with whomever they want, right? Absolutely true, I reply. But there is a rank hypocrisy with David Friend’s faux outrage. In fact, I’ll outright call him a liar over it. He’s no more outraged at Rush’s comments than he was when extremist, left-wing TV talker Ed Schultz called conservative radio host Laura Ingraham a slut.

You see, Carbonite is a big advertiser with the Ed Show, too. And there was never a peep from this Friend fellow when Schulz attacked Ingraham — or Palin for that matter — or other conservative women as he does on a nearly daily basis. Mr. Outrageously, Outraged Friend never said a single word against Schultz’ exactly similar comments. If calling women a slut was something that Friend stood against on moral grounds he would have dropped his multimillion dollar advertising campaign with Ed Schultz, too. But he didn’t.

Ben Howe asks why Mr. Friend didn’t get all mad “for his daughters” at Schultz? “Now I wonder why Friend’s daughters don’t’ come to mind here?”

Good question.

Well, let’s answer that question, shall we? It turns out that Friend is a big money donor to Barack Obama, the very man that created this fake media narrative in the first place. Friend has given thousands of dollars to Obama.

Yep, that answers that. So, yes, I’ll call it as I see it. Carbonite’s David Friend is a liar. He is doing this for partisan reasons to help further Obama’s fake media narrative.
