Two Democratic Ads Show You Just How Bad It Has Gotten For The Democrats Out There

How bad is it for Democrats out there? So bad that pretend moderates like Bobby Bright and Jim Marshall are out there trumpeting how much they don’t like Nancy Pelosi.

Here’s Bobby Bright’s new ad pledging not to vote for Nancy Pelosi as speaker…again.

Of course, as the NRCC has pointed out, Bobby Bright votes with Nancy Pelosi 71% of the time.

While it’s nice that Bobby Bright claims he won’t vote for Pelosi as speaker, is someone who’s going to vote liberal 71% of the time really a good fit for a +13 Republican district?

Then there’s Jim Marshall. I do have to admit that I like his ad because he plays the “You dirty, San Francisco hippies” card against Nancy Pelosi:

Best line: “Jim Marshall is endorsed by the NRA, Right to Life, and the Chamber of Commerce. They wouldn’t have anything to do with a Nancy Pelosi supporter!”

First of all, let me thank all those groups for supporting someone who will help the socialists who run the Democratic Party hold the House and is therefore helping to destroy everything you believe in. That’s sheer brilliance.

Of course, it is rather noteworthy that Marshall’s come-to-Jesus moment has happened right before the election. As they note over at Redstate:

After supporting Nancy Pelosi myriad times and voting for her as Speaker of the House twice, now Jim Marshall (D-Georgia) wants you to know he’s seen the light. Absolutely. Yup, less than four weeks out from election day…as he sinks in the polls…now he’s announced he won’t be supporting her anymore as Speaker (as if her remaining in that role was even a possibility in 2011 to begin with).

…I wonder how Marshall can explain how a vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House twice is actually a vote against Nancy Pelosi. Or how supporting card check and TARP, things Pelosi champions, is actually him charting a different course.

But why should Middle Georgia continue to hire and re-hire someone who says they are conservative but then has supported Pelosi so often in the past? Why not instead hire someone who has been conservative from the beginning? Someone, say, like Austin Scott?

Remember November, Democrats? It’s coming — and soon.
