University of California Infested With Anti-Semitism, Students Fight To Dismiss Report
If Hitler were alive today, he would love the University of California! Break out the torches, get those steel toed boots on, and fly those swastika high with pride. : As Oliver Darcy of CampusReform.org posted today:
The study, commissioned by UC President Mark Yudof and executed by his Advisory Council found that, among other things, “the use of the swastika drawn next to or integrated with, the Jewish Star of David is commonplace” on campus.
A report found that “the use of the swastika drawn next to or integrated with, the Jewish Star of David is commonplace” on UC campuses.
“Jewish students are confronting significant and difficult climate issues as a result of activities on campus which focus specifically on Israel, its right to exist and its treatment of Palestinians,” wrote the authors of the Jewish Campus Climate Report, which was published on July 9th by the on Campus Climate, Culture, and Inclusion advisory council.
A coalition of students, faculty, and staff, however, have: started a petition, which has garnered 2,269 signatures, demanding Yudof and administrators “disregard” what they say is a “sub-standard and biased” report.
Petition organizers suggested they were dissatisfied with the reports findings, recommendations, and the manner in which it was conducted.
In all, these folks are just mad that their narrative of innate tolerance will be destroyed. : The Davis Enterprise reported: today that StandwithUs, a nonprofit organization that combats misinformation about Israel, will discuss:
Anti-Semitism on college campuses in California, including at UC Davis, [where] [ it] will be the focus of Matthew White’s talk …White is NorCal, Oregon and Washington campus coordinator for: StandWithUs.
He has documented recent examples of what he calls pervasive and growing anti-Semitic and anti-Israel sentiment on college campuses, including UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz and UC Berkeley.
..in 2010, he organized a counter-offensive to the campus initiative to divest from companies selling to Israel, which ultimately was defeated. This brought him in contact with StandWithUs and the StandWithUs Emerson Fellow, which supports students on campus.
In September of 2011, The Jerusalem Post also documented the increasing number of anti-Semitic activities occurring within higher education.
‘Anti-Israel rallies and events frequently exceed legitimate criticism of Israel and cross the line into blatant anti-Semitism, resulting in hateful attacks against Jews,’ the center’s lawyer Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said on Wednesday.: One university that has attracted criticism over anti- Semitism on campus is Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. : Aaron Marcus, a senior at Rutgers, says he was dubbed a “racist Zionist pig” in a public Facebook posting by a fellow student.
According to Marcus, that comment was made after he questioned a Rutgers University Student Assembly decision to donate money to the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization with close ties to Islamic charity the Holy Land Foundation, which funds Hamas.
This is a growing problem that is grossly underreported by the dead tree media. : However, hopefully the swastikas at the University of California will bring this next stage in liberal intolerance to light. : However, I’m afraid it will take an event similar to: Kristallnacht to convince people.: Stay classy left-wingers.
