Woman Sailor Pounds Dubai Rapist Into Submission

It sounded like the beginning of a nightmare.

A 28 year old American woman was picked up by an empty bus from the Mall of the Emirates shopping center in Dubai.

She noticed that the bus driver wasn’t going down the main road and it made her nervous, but when she asked, he told her not to worry.

As the woman grew more and more alarmed, the man pulled into a parking lot where other buses were parked, stopped the vehicle and pulled a knife.

He intended to rape her.

This is where the story took an unlikely turn.

It turns out that the woman the bus driver was accosting was an off duty navy sailor.

When he pulled a knife on her, she knocked it from his hand, broke it in two, wrestled him to the ground and incapacitated the man with a leg stranglehold.

The Pakistani bus driver whose name has not been released is being charged with attempted rape, assault, threatening to kill and consuming alcohol illegally. He did plead guilty to the alcohol charge, perhaps because he was still drunk when he was arrested.
