I'm Starting To Wonder If There's Any Atrocity I Don't Think Bush Capable Of
by John Hawkins

I usually don't like to feature the same message boards twice in a row in the ACPOTI section but the Democratic Underground Forums made it irresistible. A French tanker was apparently hit by a boat loaded with explosives this week-end just off the coast of Yemen (I say apparently because this hasn't been confirmed as a terrorist attack yet).

Since a "boat bomb" also hit the USS Cole off the coast of Yemen, the average person would probably guess that Al-Queda or some other terrorist group was responsible. But the Democratic Underground knows who's really responsible for this terrorist attack -- George W. Bush! These loons at the Democratic Underground make the conspiracy theorists from the Middle-East who think the Mossad is behind everything look sane by comparison...

frisco: (Subject) Oil tanker explodes off Yemen. Just in time for Monday's speech too!...

radfringe: (Subject)How convenient any bets Emperor * uses it in the speech he's reading tomorrow night? Any bets that he tries to connect the dots to Saddam on this one?...

bearfan454: (Subject)Yes I believe that it is all about political gain. They will do ANYTHING and I mean ANYTHING to stay in control. If we don't have a demo landslide this midterm we are F@CKED !

ps1074: (Subject) WTF I mean, France is one of the sane voices in the international community. Why the f*ck terrorists will want to atack a french tanker? It is either not a terror atack or a CIA operation to show France who's in charge in the security council...We'll see the coming week if France changes its attitude towards Iraq.

Verwirrung (Subject) Somebody thought France should "get with the program", eh? How convenient.

bemildred (Subject)They might be setting Yemen up for a little "intervention" too.

Kurukami (Subject) Any U.S. subs in the area? Hey, you never know

Verwirrung (Subject) I'm starting to wonder if there's any atrocity I don't think Bush capable of

Jinx (Subject) Too convenient Honestly, the timing is too convenient (considering the UN resolution debate at the moment) and I can see this incident working to help soften France's stance on a veto. I put nothing - NOTHING - past this administration, who I believe will do anything, no matter what the cost in human life, to get their way.
