According to the most recent Forbes magazine list of The World’s Billionaires, entrepreneur Sheldon Adelson is worth $20.5 billion ranking as the 14th richest man in the world.  And it’s just great to see a self-made, proud tough Jew who comes from nothing succeed.  Absolutely inspiring.

He has spent significantly to educate Americans about the dangers of re-electing President Obama, including funding to the Republican Jewish Coalition for advertisements in swing-states for to convince Jews to vote Republican. A new campaign and is called “My Buyer’s Remorse,” and features videos of Jews who voted for Obama in 2008, and won’t vote for him this time around.  Driving in Florida, there are billboards which read: “Obama … Oy Vey!!”, followed by “Had enough?”

Some Recent Reasons Sheldon Adelson Has Said He Supports Romney:

  • Security and Prosperity For Israel, the Jewish state and closest ally to America
  • Adelson said he worries about ‘any man that sets up a shadow government, not accountable to anybody. … What are the czars, if they’re not a substitute for the secretaries of Commerce, of State, of Interior? They’re not under any rules, they’re just consultants to him in his office.”
  • “Empowering small business.”

When the richest Jew in the world talks, Jews should listen – particularly to someone who grew up poor and has built a business to provide for tens of thousands.  His wife is a leading Israeli doctor and their words and influence matter.
