Another week and more to read on the Middle East as always. Some of the more interesting articles I thought worth sharing:
- With the election 2.5 months away, an interesting piece on Obama vs. Romney: 4 Interesting Differences on Israel: http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/

- A new book, “Legacy: A Genetic History of the Jewish People” discusses the age-old question of “Jews: A religious group, people or race?” Book review:http://www.jpost.com/Sci-Tech/
- “Syria and the Invisible Hand of Foreign Intervention” quotes Ze’ev Jabotinsky:http://nationalinterest.org/

- In 1997, Prime Minister Netanyahu in response to a question about Irving Moskowitz said: There would be no limits on Jewish construction in “unifiedJerusalem”, he told his cabinet. “We cannot accept the fact that Jews wouldn’t be entitled to live and buy anywhere in Jerusalem,” Netanyahu said. “I can only imagine what would happen if someone suggested Jews could not live in certain neighborhoods in New York, London, Paris or Rome. There would certainly be a major international outcry.” It’s certainly just as true today as it was then.
“We have always said that in our war with the Arabs we had a secret weapon – no alternative.” Golda Meir
“Three things are best beloved by a man: homeland, children, and life.” Menashe Ben-Israel
