Overly Hysterical Obama Jumps Into Michigan Right To Work Fight
  11 Dec 2012     8:48 am      William Teach

And, as usual, the Campaigner in Chief was equal parts class warrior, divisive, and full of mule fritters
(The Hill) President Obama on Monday injected himself into an escalating fight over changing Michigan into a right-to-work state, saying the state Legislature’s move to ban the required paying of union dues was all about politics.
The quick entry into the fight by Obama suggests the White House could be more aggressively involved in the Michigan fight than in a similar battle in Wisconsin in 2011.
It also signaled an alliance between Obama and labor …

The Lies The SEIU Tells Its Members
2 Dec 2012     5:27 pm      Warner Todd Huston

This week the SEIU sent out an email to its members hoping to drum up some hate against the fast food chain Wendy’s. The email not only had one outright lie, it was also a sad example of how stupid unions think their members really are.
The email starts out as if it is from a Wendy’s employee named Joshua Williams.
Mr. Williams may or may not really exist, but the union created a video featuring a person claiming to be this Williams fellow, so maybe he’s real and maybe he isn’t. …

Obama’s Re-Election Mandate: Guess Whose Money He’s Targeting Next?
  1 Dec 2012     1:55 pm      Rachel Alexander

Many Americans didn’t bother to vote in the past presidential election, some out of apathy or a belief that the election would hardly affect them. They are in for a rude awakening now that Obama has won re-election. His Santa Claus false promises are unsustainable, so there are going to be few winners and a lot of losers as he redistributes wealth. Obama ran on a platform of making the rich “pay their fair share of taxes,” but raising taxes on the wealthy will only fund the federal government for eight days …

Black Friday Wal Mart Protests Pretty Much A Big Fail Burger
  24 Nov 2012     8:01 am      William Teach

#walmartstrikers remind me of Mohammed video protesters. Without the heavy weapons and RPGs, of course
— WilliamTeach (@WilliamTeach) November 23, 2012

Someone asked me to explain that Tweet yesterday. Well, much like the Mohammed video “protesters” the WalMart protesters were not who you thought they were, it was not spontaneous, and they had all sorts of premade apparel and signs. In the case of the Mohammed vid protesters, they weren’t average people, they were Islamists, many with ties to the Taliban and al Qaeda, this was planned for a while, and they …

SEIU Considering Thanksgiving Eve Walkout At LAX
  17 Nov 2012     7:37 am      William Teach

Will they? Won’t they? Is this another threat by a union to get what they want?
(CBS LA) Employees at Los Angeles International Airport were considering plans Friday to walk off the job ahead on what is traditionally the busiest traveling day of the year.
But, hey, they really, really care or something.
A coalition of Southland labor and community leaders are calling for the protest of alleged violations by LAX contractor Aviation Safeguards (AVSG) after breaking their contract with the airport earlier this year.
Andrew Gross-Gaitan, the director of the Southern California Airports …

In Harsh Economy, Union Demands Put Crimp in Businesses Across the Country: Recent Stories Surrounding California Grocer
16 Nov 2012     3:26 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The biggest union news this month is the pending closing of the Hostess Brand snack cake corporation, a company that has been an American mainstay for decades with such products Wonder Bread and Hostess Twinkies. As with the Hostess case, unions repeatedly prove that they’d rather destroy a business with absurd demands and strikes than work with management to keep the company alive in these tough economic times.
Another Illustration of the continued and alarming trend of unions destroying the businesses they work for with absurd contract demands is going …

Horror: Hostess Files For Bankruptcy, Shutters Business
  16 Nov 2012     8:59 am      William Teach

Nanny Bloomberg is probably a happy nanny today as Hostess brings Halloween to mid-November
(WRAL) Hostess Brands Inc. filed for bankruptcy early Friday, announcing it has shuttered operations and ended production of the snack cakes and breads known to generations of Americans.
The Texas-based company said in a statement on its website that it will try to sell its assets, including the iconic Twinkies, Ding Dong and Wonder bread brands. Bakery operations have been suspended at all 36 plants, including one in Rocky Mount, following a weeklong strike by thousands of workers …

Non-Union Electric Crew Turned Away From Sandy Recovery
  2 Nov 2012     7:39 am      William Teach

Wasn’t just yesterday that Obama gave a speech in which he said that “Americans are coming together” during the Sandy cleanup during a stump speech? How’s that working out? (via American Perspective)
(WAFF) The hurricane-ravaged east coast has been receiving north Alabama help, but crews from Huntsville Utilities learned they’ll be doing work in Long Island, New York instead of in New Jersey.
Crews from Huntsville, as well as Decatur Utilities and Joe Wheeler out of Trinity headed up there this week, but Derrick Moore, one of the Decatur workers, said they …

Even Liberal Pollsters Discover Significant Plurality of Americans See Pro-Obama Bias in Polling
  3 Oct 2012     4:32 pm      Matt Vespa

There’s that clichéd saying of “where’s there smoke, there’s fire.”  Some in the media should have heeded that advice since a plurality of Americans sees a bias in the polling conducted between President Obama and Governor Romney.  Oh, and, by the way, this information comes from a Daily Kos/SEIU poll, so it’s hardly a right-wing source. Justin Sink of The Hill wrote on October 2 that:
some 42 percent of voters surveyed by Daily Kos and SEIU believe pollsters are manipulating their sample sizes to benefit the incumbent president, while 40 percent do not. An …

DNC’s Joe Biden Video Features Joe Standing With a Union Criminal
7 Sep 2012     1:34 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The Democrat National Committee wanted to make a nice heartwarming video telling America and convention goers how wonderful ol’ “Sheriff Joe” Biden is. But, oops, one of the still photos included in the retrospective shows Biden standing chummy with a union member that was arrested for pick pocketing in 2009.
The video, titled, Vice President Joe Biden’s Story, is filled with heartwarming photos of good ol’ Joe with old folks, school kids, and American workers. But one worker in particular would have been best left out of the bio-video.

At about 5:17 …

Close The Book Forever on the Failed “progressive” Experiment
  28 Aug 2012     5:51 pm      Michael Fell

The current White House occupant, in a calculated, targeted attack against Republican rival Mitt Romney, attempted to dismiss a key Romney rationale for his presidential candidacy by saying: “When you’re president, as opposed to the head of a private equity firm, then your job is not simply to maximize profits. Your job is to figure out how everybody in the country has a fair shot.”
It is quite obvious that occupy Oval Office is shockingly unfamiliar with the concept that jobs are downstream from profits, not the other way around. With …

Government Unions-A ‘progressive” Failure Foisted Upon America
  21 Aug 2012     4:54 pm      Michael Fell

Merriam-Webster’s definition of EXTORTION
1: the act or practice of extorting especially money or other property; especially: the offense committed by an official engaging in such practice
2: something extorted; especially: a gross overcharge
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/extortion
From Chicago to Madison to Sacramento to Washington DC and points in between:
» Do as we say and nobody gets hurt. Get the picture sweetheart?
Those self-imagined, self-appointed “intellectual elites” within the ”progressive” Democratic Party and their tarnished Oval Office idol insist the 2012 election is a fight for the middle class.
» Union members make up only 12.9% of the …

Antonio Villaraigosa: America’s First Latino President?
  31 Jul 2012     5:23 pm      Michael Fell

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is a long-time supporter of the current occupier in chief.  Over the course of the past year Villaraigosa has done no less than 20 official or campaign events on the White House’s behalf.  He will be in the national spotlight when he gavels the opening of the 2012 Democratic National Convention in September.
Questions are already being raised about whether Villaraigosa, mayor of the country’s second largest city and part of the rapidly growing Hispanic population, has presidential aspirations.
“The answer is no.  The job I’ve said …

Victorious Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch Returns To Smart Girl Summit
  25 Jul 2012     6:55 pm      Matt Vespa

Lt. Gov Rebecca Kleefisch, still fresh from her recall victory in June, gave the closing address at Smart Girl Summit held this past weekend.   She joked with the crowd stating that when she addressed the summit last year, many were doubtful she would have a job in the coming months. However, she said she would have come back as “a martyr”.  She is the first Lt. Governor in American history to survive a recall election.  When you turn a $3.6 billion dollar deficit into a $154 million dollar surplus, …

VIDEO: Democrats Next to Move to Unionize Obamacare Doctors
29 Jun 2012     2:36 pm      Warner Todd Huston

In another sign that our healthcare industry is soon to be just another arm of the Democrat Party, Chicago are Democrat Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky thinks it’s a great idea if doctors unionize.

This will completely end any chance that doctors will care about patients. They will instead become just another uncaring, slipshod union hack that won’t much care about the excellence of his work because he’s protected by union rules. Patients will no longer matter.
Doctors will be just like officious DMV employees. Just like lazy Streets and Sans guys. Like all …

The RAISE Act Debate Shows the Desperation of Unions & Their Allies
  20 Jun 2012     4:50 pm      Dustin Siggins

In recent weeks unions have been making major national news. First it was the failed Wisconsin recall. Next it was micro-unions, which have D.C.-based business interests very concerned about gerrymandering within individual businesses that could end up causing many businesses, including retail and grocery stores, a great deal of financial harm. Most recently, though, it is the Rewarding Achievement and Incentivizing Successful Employees (RAISE) Act, introduced in the Senate, that has caused a great deal of back-and-forth among varied interests this month. Below are four prominent opinions expressed in …

Complaint Demands Investigation Into “Climate Of Fear” At EPA
  20 Jun 2012     8:11 am      William Teach

Now, this is interesting. One of the things I have written about many times, as have others, is why there is a need for public sector unions. One of the main purposes of unions is to protect the workers from harsh bosses and companies and make sure working conditions are within excepted norms. Liberals always tell us government is super mega-awesome and benevolent, so why would we need a union for government workers? We, um, because of this, perhaps?
(Daily Caller) The Daily Caller has obtained an internal “report of violence …

Assoc. Press Now Pushing Anti-Scott Walker Story About… Beer?
13 Jun 2012     4:33 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The Associated Press seems to be still on the lookout for stories about how Wisconsinites (especially “unions”) hate Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker — yes, even after he beat a recall attempt getting even more votes than he did during his first run for the Guv’s manse. This time AP is pushing the tale that Carrie Nation’s alcohol prohibition “union” is mad at Walker for wanting to serve beer at his unity picnic. Yeah, the same 140-year-old group chiefly responsible for passing the ill-fated Prohibition Act on the country in the …

Mitch Daniels Suggests Doing Away With Government Unions
  11 Jun 2012     7:27 am      William Teach

Back when people first started to organize into unions, they did this for two main reasons: protection from harsh working conditions/bosses/companies and an honest wage for an honest days work. Of course, this was in the private sector. Shift to the public sector: now they mostly exist to fleece the American taxpayer so that the public union members can make vastly more than people in the public sector and reap rewards such as time off and pensions that are unavailable in the private sector. There used to be a saying …

Chris Plante Show: Dems Shipping in Busloads of Fraudulent Voters into Wisconsin
5 Jun 2012     6:28 pm      Warner Todd Huston

This is the massive vote fraud I’ve been warning about and Gov. Walker better be prepared for it.
WMAL’s Chris Plante got a call today from a man claiming to be on one of four busses that are driving from Michigan to Wisconsin in order to have fraudulent voters flood the polls for Democrat Barrett who is vying to upset Wis. Governor Scott Walker.
The caller says that the busses were organized by an auto union to bring as many illegal votes to Wisconsin as they can.
Radio host Plante sums up the …
