Illinois Public Unions Target….Democrats?
  2 Dec 2013     7:01 am      John Hawkins

Scott Walker got all the ink because of his fight against the unions, but unions are starting to feel the pinch all over the country. That’s true even in Barack Obama’s home state of Illinois and they’re not very happy about it.
The latest battle between organized labor and states trying to fix huge budget problems by cutting pension costs has surfaced in Illinois, where public union leaders are waging an all-out effort to stop the Democrat-led campaign.
Details of a plan reached last week appear to show state legislative leaders are …

  19 Nov 2013     9:21 am      Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton
NoisyRoom.net

In blatant fascistic form, homes were raided and subpoenas were issued targeting conservative groups and allies of Scott Walker in a secret investigation. Meet Special Prosecutor Francis Schmitz who is the Marxist attack dog who was set loose upon 29 conservative groups in Wisconsin connected to Scott Walker and the failed recall that tried to oust him from office for offending the unions in that state. Now meet Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Bruce Landgraf, who mere days before Democrat Mary Burke announced that she would be running …

Chicago Teachers Union: ‘This City Belongs to Black People’
17 Oct 2013     1:56 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) is pretty much run by communists and racebaiters. This month we get yet another example of that with a CTU organizer claiming that the city “belongs” to African Americans and not white people.
This sort of hate is typical of the CTU. As seen in the video above, CTU President Karen Lewis is very well known for saying that white people and anyone with a few dollars in their pockets should have no right to tell teachers what to do. The above video is from June …

An Anti-Union Event In South Carolina: The Beacon Labor Day Cruise-In & Candidate Forum
  3 Sep 2013     5:05 am      John Hawkins

Western Representation PAC put on a pretty unique event in Spartanburg, South Carolina yesterday. It was an anti-union car show. It’s about time conservatives start combining politics with fun and putting on a car show with politics as a bonus is exactly the sort of thing those of us on the Right should be doing more often.
Forty five cars were judged, 250+ people showed up and as an extra added bonus, all three of the Republicans challenging Lindsey Graham showed up for the event.
Here are a handful of pictures …

The Fabulous Life of Unions: Designer Golf Courses, Luxury Resorts, and Taxpayer Dollars for Union Business
  2 Sep 2013     7:53 am      Jay Batman

The United Auto Workers Union, with $1.25 billion in assets, owns one of the top 100 golf courses in America. Designed in 2000 by golf course architect Rees Jones, the Black Lake Club lost $23.5 million between 2004 and 2008.  Nevertheless, the UAW kept it open, because nothing advances the interests of union members like an immaculately groomed golf course.  The UAW made $39 million in loans to Black Lake and its parent organization, the Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center, between 2001 and 2010.  Then again, while the UAW listed the loans …

Crooked Unions Try to Take Out Bravest City Councilman in the U.S.
  19 Aug 2013     1:48 pm      Rachel Alexander

Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, one of the most aggressively pro-freedom city councilmen, is under siege from the unions in one of the most corrupt local elections in the country. Along with a few other government officials around the country, which include Wisconsin’s Republican governor Scott Walker, he tried to reign in the out-of-control and unsustainable increasing costs of government employees, particularly their pensions. Up for reelection this year, DiCiccio is being challenged by union-backed Democrat insurance executive Karlene Keogh Parks. The unions unsuccessfully attempted to recall him in 2011.
DiCiccio …

Chicago Public School Teacher Attacks Capitalism, Says Violent Revolution Coming
8 Aug 2013     10:26 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The policy group called ALEC (the American Legislative Exchange Council) had its 40th anniversary meeting in Chicago on August 7, 8, and 9, but not everyone was celebrating. In front of the hotel at which the event was held, the unions gathered to attack and one Chicago school teacher took the occasion not only to say that capitalism has failed and that government should be for the redistribution of wealth, he also threatened “violent revolution” unless America acquiesces to union demands.
CPS Teacher Timothy Meegan, who teachers at Roosevelt High …

Municipalities Look To Get Their Unionized Employees Of Cadillac Plans And Into Obamacare
  5 Aug 2013     7:13 am      William Teach

Remember the days when Obamacare was meant to be a way for the 30-45 million Americans with no health insurance to obtain health insurance? Good times, good times
(NY Times) Cities and towns across the country are pushing municipal unions to accept cheaper health benefits in anticipation of a component of the Affordable Care Act that will tax expensive plans starting in 2018.
The so-called Cadillac tax was inserted into the Affordable Care Act at the advice of economists who argued that expensive health insurance with the employee bearing little cost made …

Criminal Unions: The Perfect ‘Government Union Fat Cat’ Story
30 May 2013     1:50 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Today’s example of why government unions should be outlawed is a union chief who ostensibly “works” for the people of New York. He has a grueling two-hour-a-day “work” schedule and spends that time eating lunch, then sleeping.
He’s a real life union fat cat, a perfect example of why government unions should be illegal, and the poster boy for union scumbaggery. He’s the 400-pound Mark Rosenthal, the presidaent of Local 983 of District Council 37–New York’s largest blue-collar municipal-workers union–who earns $156,000 a year in New York’s tax dollars.
Take a look …

Detroit Is So Bankrupt It Can’t Even Borrow More Money: Unions About To Be Shredded
  14 May 2013     7:52 am      John Hawkins

Want to see what unions do over the long-term? Well then, look at Detroit. It used to be a prosperous, blue collar city. But since unreasonable union demands have crippled the Big 3 Automakers, a lot of jobs fled the city. After the jobs left, the people followed. Now, large sections of Detroit are uninhabited and falling apart. Furthermore, the plunging tax revenue combined with the rampant overspending of the liberal politicians the unions supported has put the city in a hole bigger than it could ever climb out of …

Another Example of How Our Miseducation System is Failing Our Kids
28 Apr 2013     6:01 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Remember how you were taught in school how to add a series of numbers? Remember how you were told to write each set of numbers on top of each other, to stack them so you could then add them together to get a total?
Kids aren’t taught that any more. In fact, the system of “cubes, sheets, sticks and dots” they are taught now is so convoluted, involved and confusing that it often results in wrong answers. But correct answers isn’t the goal for today’s fetid school systems. “The process” is …

Unions Drove Twinkies Out of Business, But Now the Company is Back With No Union Workers
  28 Apr 2013     9:22 am      John Hawkins

After union greed drove Twinkies out of business last November, there was such a burst of nostalgia for the snack cakes that it practically guaranteed that it would return to business. After all in a capitalistic society, if there are enough people who want to eat Twinkies, there will be someone who makes Twinkies.

So, the good news is that Twinkies are coming back, but they won’t be coming back with union workers.
The company that bought them, Apollo Global Management, LLC, and Metropoulos & Co., which also owns Pabst …

On Easter, Google Doodle Celebrates Union Leader Cesar Chavez
31 Mar 2013     1:14 pm      Warner Todd Huston

This year, March 31 is Easter Day, the day that American Christians celebrate Jesus Christ having risen from the tomb to join his Father in Heaven. But instead of hosting a doodle celebrating that sacred holiday, this March 31, Google is celebrating the birth of famed union activist Cesar Chavez.

Cesar Chavez was born on March 31, 1927 and is most well known for organizing south western farm workers into unions in the 1950s, 60s and 70s. In 1962, Chavez co-founded the National Farm Workers Association (NFWA) with fellow activist Dolores …

What Fiscal Cliff? VP Biden, Gov’t Workers Getting Raises
30 Dec 2012     4:53 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Imagine you are working for a company that is going bankrupt, but everyone you work with and your bosses are getting pay raises. Seem absurd? Not if you work for the failing federal government because President Obama has happily decreed that Vice President Biden, members of Congress and most federal workers are getting raises for 2013.
As the U.S. government is losing its luster on the bond market and as the fiscal cliff looms, President Obama issued an executive order to give everyone raises.
Obama has generously bestowed a $6,379 per year …

Media Ignores Union Violence: Flashback to Palin’s 2008 ‘Target’ Outrage
14 Dec 2012     2:34 pm      Warner Todd Huston

As unions again run amuck, this time in Michigan, the Old Media establishment has steadfastly refused to report on the union’s violence, not to mention the “violent rhetoric” coming from their advocates. But this is in stark contrast to the Summer of 2011 when the Old Media was hot to condemn the supposed “violent rhetoric” of Republicans such as Sarah Palin, Andrew Breitbart, and talk radio hosts.
In Michigan this week unions have once again shown why the term “union thug” is no misnomer by beating up people and engaging in …

Right To Work Laws Empower Employees
  14 Dec 2012     7:31 am      William Teach

In Liberal World, having the choice to abort a baby is a good thing. Having the choice to pay union dues? That’s tantamount to heresy and the End Of Life As We Know It. James Sherk explains that liberals should take a deep breath
(US News And World Report) Right-to-work laws benefit both nonunion and union workers as well as the unemployed. Without right-to-work, unions negotiate contracts requiring employers to fire workers who don’t pay union dues. Employees must pay the union $500 to $1,000 a year or lose their job.

MSNBC: An Unprofessional Excuse for the News
13 Dec 2012     7:42 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The violence that unions perpetrated in Michigan as the state legislature passed its new right-to-work legislation was hailed by lawless Democrats and union supporters alike showing that neither unions nor Democrats are much interested in morality of legality, but the incident also revealed yet another perfect example of how illegitimate MSNBC is as a source for reliable news.
During the union thugs’ protest outside the state capitol in Lansing, union criminals beat up a pro-worker’s rights advocate and destroyed a tent set up by the conservative activist group Americans for Prosperity. …

Violent, Racist Union Thugs Destroy Hot Dog Cart
  13 Dec 2012     9:43 am      William Teach

This is apparently OK with the Legacy Media, since the violent, racist union thugs funnel money to and vote Democrat
(The Blaze) A man running a local hot dog stand in Michigan’s state capital was among those attacked by protesters of the state’s “Right to Work” legislation while he served food in a tent that was torn down yesterday. The man was also allegedly taunted when he tried to salvage some of his property.
During Tuesday’s protests — the day Gov. Rick Snyder signed into law what he said is “pro-worker” legislation …

Team Obama Refuses To Condemn Union Violence Threats In Michigan
  12 Dec 2012     9:23 am      William Teach

So glad that Team Obama cares about a civil society after he whipped up the crowd during an appearance in Michigan on Monday
(Daily Caller) White House spokesman Jay Carney declined to condemn the increasing violence and threats by union members in Michigan, merely telling reporters Tuesday that “the president believes in debate that’s civil.”
When asked by a reporter about a claim by Michigan state Democrat that “there will be blood” should Republicans pass a union-choice law in Michigan, Carney professed ignorance and then downplayed the comment.
“I haven’t see those comments, …

Free Michigan
  11 Dec 2012     4:35 pm      Michael Fell

Michigan is now the 24th right to work state in America.
Public workers in Michigan are now free to work without being forced to pay legalized extortion to unions as a precondition of their employment.
As union labor gathered by the thousands, Michigan’s legislature voted approval Tuesday to “right-to-work” legislation.  The House and the Senate both approved the measure, making membership and payment of union dues optional.  Governor Rick Snyder has promised to sign it into law.
More than 12,000 protestors from around the Midwest gathered for the vote.  Union thugs dissatisfied with …
