A fractured party is a losing party

Why is it that when Democrats govern like Socialist dictators they win, but when Republicans govern like Democrats they lose? The sad part is that both parties govern in such a similar capacity that it is hard to tell them apart these days. Both parties have an insatiable appetite for spending; and fiscal discipline in Washington is as rare as a snowstorm in Phoenix.
Neither party has shown the ability to govern the American people the way our Constitution originally intended. One could argue that we technically have not had a …

Matt Vespa
It’s an awful turn of events. A few weeks ago, Gateway Pundit posted a story about a teenager who decided to open a hot dog stand to help out his two disabled parents in Michigan. It was shut down by the city since it violated a city ordinance that prohibited competition within the local restaurant district. It was documented by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. The original video is below.
Sadly, according to Anne Schieber of Mackinac Center for Public Policy, it’s been discovered that the teen and his parents …

Thought Of The Day: How Many People Will Die Because Of Occupy Wall Street?
7 Nov 2011

John Hawkins
My guess? I’d put the over/under in the 5-15 range with the over being more likely than the under.
You have large, increasingly hostile and lawless mobs living in poorly controlled tent cities that are desperate to get attention and trying to instigate conflict with the police to get media attention.
Combine that with the fact that the Occupy movement is being allowed to break the law with impunity in many places, which will only encourage the mobs to go further, and you have a situation that’s likely to get increasingly …

Thought Of The Day: The Future Of Taxes In America
30 Sep 2011
5:00 am
John Hawkins
Here’s what most people don’t get about taxes
Eventually, the Lefties will probably get their way on taxes and they’ll get their new tax on corporate jets, raise the highest income tax bracket by 2-3 more points, tax a higher percentage of the “rich’s” income on Social Security, they’ll kill the Bush tax cut, and chip away at their income another half dozen ways. This will be a drag on the economy, hurt job creation, and punish small businesses.
Then, for most people, will come the real shock. Even after these …

Thought Of The Day: The Secret Group That’s Running The World
30 Aug 2011

John Hawkins
The moment you start telling people that you think there’s a secret group running the world, whether it be the Illuminati, Bilderbergers, The Trilateral Commission, or Jewish bankers, most people are going to write you off as a fruit loop.
PS: They should write you off as a fruit loop because what you believe is STUPID!

Thought Of The Day: “Reprimitivizing” Americans
24 Aug 2011

John Hawkins
We think of ourselves as so much more advanced than previous generations of Americans because of the few things we do better. Why, we’re not racist like those people! We have fancier gadgets to play with! True. But, the average American 50 years ago was more industrious, independent, religious, mannered, and had a far better understanding of how his world worked. In many of the ways that matter, we’ve gone backwards as human beings from previous generations.

If Liberals Are Going To Call Us Terrorists….
2 Aug 2011

…are we finally free to call Liberals the traitors they are?
Yeah, the NY Times ratchets up the discourse for the “New Tone”. This, after Biden was accused of saying “They have acted like terrorists.” He denied that, just that he “let other Democrat lawmakers vent.” So, venting includes elected Federal officials referring to a segment of the US population as “terrorists,” and the Vice President of the United States sat there and let them do it?
Personally, I prefer the term “freedom fighter”. Militant doesn’t apply, since it breaksdown to about …

“Moderate” Islamist Rachid Ghannouchi Returns To Tunisia
30 Jan 2011
9:14 am
William Teach
When it comes to revolt and revolution in the Muslim/Arab world, be careful what you wish for, because things might take a turn for the worse. From a Reuters report on MSNBC regarding Tunisia
Leading Tunisian Islamist Rachid Ghannouchi returned home Sunday from 22 years in exile, witnesses said. Thousands turned out to greet him at the airport.
His return is a powerful symbol of the change that has swept this country since its president was toppled by popular protests this month.
Supporters of Ghannouchi’s Ennahda movement, which had been …
