The Number Of Meetings Between Sebelius and Obama Since Obamacare Was Passed: One
  7 Dec 2013     12:10 pm      Matt Vespa

With the complete collapse of the Obamacare website, millions losing their insurance, and rising premiums, you would expect there to be a lot of one-on-one meetings between the president and the HHS Secretary.  Nope.  They’ve only had ONE meeting since Obama’s signature domestic achievement was passed in 2010.
A new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis finds that from July 12, 2010, to Nov. 30, 2013, the president’s public schedule records zero one-on-one meetings between Obama and Sebelius. Equally shocking, over the same period, the president’s calendar lists 277 private meetings with his …

Democrat Introduces Vehicle Miles Tax Bill
  5 Dec 2013     8:55 am      William Teach

Earl Blumenauer is fed up with legislative gridlock or something
(Politico) Rep. Earl Blumenauer has had enough.
With some of the top players in next year’s transportation bill stuck in a staring contest over how to raise billions of dollars, the Democrat introduced two simple bills on Wednesday to address what he calls the upcoming “infrastructure cliff.” (snip)
The other bill would let states look into charging drivers by the mile — a so-called vehicle miles traveled fee — by expanding a pilot program started in Blumenauer’s home state of Oregon. The program …

Warmists Robert J. Samuelson: We’re Not Sure What’s Going To Happen, But Let’s Get A Carbon Tax In Place Anyhow
  18 Nov 2013     9:09 am      William Teach

The delusion of the Warmists is on complete display in this opinion piece called Global warming pragmatism
Economist Robert Pindyck of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology recently examined the computer models that estimate the effects and costs of climate change — and he didn’t like what he found. The models reflect two gaping uncertainties, he says. First, we don’t know how much increased atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) will raise global temperatures. “There are feedback loops” — interactions between greenhouse gases and weather — “that aren’t easy to measure.” The models make …

Comrades! Now we are sharing jobs with the glorious communist motherland of Russia!! California is not content with their socialist and Marxist leanings. Oh no… now they are painting the state Russian red and putting actual communists in bureaucratic positions of power. With just a hint of KGB swagger and a whole lot of jack booted thuggery for the surveillance state:
WASHINGTON, October 30, 2013 — The California bureaucrat behind a big brother plan to track vehicles and “tax by the mile” worked …

High Cigarette Taxes Bring Little Revenue and New Crime
25 Oct 2013     4:51 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Rumors are once again rumbling in the cash-starved, big spenders in California’s legislature to raise tobacco taxes. But does this work? History says that not only does the tax hike rarely bring in more money to the state the hike also causes more crime as criminals move in with black market good s at cheaper prices.
Once again the denizens of Sacramento are looking to a huge hike in taxes. Earlier this year Senator Kevin de Leon floated a scheme to raise taxes by two dollars a pack for cigarettes.
Democrats …

IMF Plots to Plunder Your Assets
  22 Oct 2013     11:57 am      Dave Blount

No wonder liberals are so keen to take our guns away. We are coming up fast on the point where people start to say, If you want to confiscate any more of my property, you will have to step over my dead body to get to it. Forbes reports on what our rulers have in the works:
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) quietly dropped a bomb in its October Fiscal Monitor Report. Titled “Taxing Times,” the report paints a dire picture for advanced economies with high debts that fail to aggressively …

By the time 2016 rolls around, after Obamacare truly burrows into America’s vital organs, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee will be the ones everyone remembers. Cruz will lead the charge to guide America out of Obama’s hellish Marxist wilderness with a coalition in tow and the Tea Party taking point. It is the fight of our lifetime and Americans are readying themselves.
The young guns of the Conservative movement are lining up and much to the chagrin of the Left who keep claiming that Cruz …

Surprise: Obama Wants Increased Revenue For Debt Deal
  13 Oct 2013     9:45 am      William Teach

The question is, is Mr. “I won’t negotiate” Obama using the notion of increased revenue as a way of blunting the demands from Republicans (and the American People who hate Obamacare), or is he simply demanding new revenue, ie, taxation, like he’s done before? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter. We’ve seen multiple times that when a deal is almost in place President Stompy Foot demands much more, scuttling the deal
(NY Times) Be skeptical. Be very, very skeptical.
That was the reaction from nearly all corners to the …

Elgin Community College (ECC) paid Terrorist Bill Ayers with Taxpayer Money to speak
  27 Sep 2013     1:46 pm      Lennie Jarratt

Elgin Community College PR discussing bringing Bill Ayers to speak. He confirmed Ayers was paid $1200 of taxpayer money to speak. This was paid with taxpayer money.

When asked about whether others have spoken with opposite viewpoints have ever spoken in this series, he could not give an example. When asked if he was willing to bring in those with opposing viewpoints, he said yes, they were willing to do that.

Obama on Obamacare: “We did raise taxes on some things.”

By: Terresa Monroe-Hamilton

Some things?! You’ve got to be kidding me… This is not just a train wreck, it is an absolute horror story for each and every family in America. While the elites have made sure they have exemptions, the rest of us are going to be ground into the dust of poverty. We are about to be literally taxed to death. I feel sick — too bad I won’t be able to see a doctor about that.
Here is a partial list of things to come — from Americans for …

Crooked Unions Try to Take Out Bravest City Councilman in the U.S.
  19 Aug 2013     1:48 pm      Rachel Alexander

Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, one of the most aggressively pro-freedom city councilmen, is under siege from the unions in one of the most corrupt local elections in the country. Along with a few other government officials around the country, which include Wisconsin’s Republican governor Scott Walker, he tried to reign in the out-of-control and unsustainable increasing costs of government employees, particularly their pensions. Up for reelection this year, DiCiccio is being challenged by union-backed Democrat insurance executive Karlene Keogh Parks. The unions unsuccessfully attempted to recall him in 2011.
DiCiccio …

NC Democrats Admit They Really Hate Citizens Keeping More Of Their Own Money
  16 Jul 2013     8:32 am      William Teach

They can exclaim whatever talking point they want, but in any tax reform debate it’s easy to see that Democrats hate The Government getting less money and citizens keeping more of what they earn
(WRAL) Lawmakers and Gov. Pat McCrory struck a deal on tax reform Monday, ending a weeks-long impasse over how to rewrite a tax code that hasn’t been significantly overhauled since the 1930s. (snip)
The package will reduce both personal and corporate income taxes. It also eliminates the estate tax and preserves the ability of most nonprofits to get …

U.S. News Lumps LaRouchie in With Tea Partiers at IRS Rally
23 Jun 2013     4:31 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Lyndon LaRouche and his followers have never been welcomed into the Tea Party movement but his followers shadow nearly every Washington-based protest that occurs, whether left, center, or right. But in its coverage of Wednesday’s D.C.-based IRS rallies, U.S. News featured a follower of LaRouche as if he were a legitimate part of the Tea Party protest.
In its report on the Tea Party rallies, U.S. News noted that the protests “soon became about a lot more than the IRS” as speakers and protest signs began speaking to a list of …

National Research Council Pushes Carbon Tax
  21 Jun 2013     9:30 am      William Teach

This is the same NRC that has pushed to create one sided “climate change” education standards, despite there being a 15+ year pause in warming, which the models haven’t predicted, and even fail when the models are applied in hind-sight. Oh, and the NRC relies on public grant money. They have a vested interest in keeping the money train rolling
(Politico) A federal report is endorsing a carbon tax as a far better method to combat climate change than the current web of energy tax provisions.
Despite spending billions of dollars on …

Obama Lobbies For Higher Taxes Worldwide
  19 Jun 2013     8:00 am      John Hawkins

It’s bad enough that Obama wants to raise taxes here, but he wants higher taxes worldwide so that you’ll have nowhere to escape from the end results of socialism.

President Barack Obama will use next week’s G8 meeting to organize a community of governments to minimize companies’ legal use of foreign tax laws, according to an aide.
“The president has been focused on international efforts to reduce what is legal tax avoidance, when companies legally use loopholes that exist in our laws and other [countries’] laws to reduce their tax liability,” said …

IRS Spent $50 Million in Two Years on ‘Conferences’
4 Jun 2013     10:14 pm      Warner Todd Huston

A report to be released on Tuesday investigating expenditures by the Internal Revenue Service will reveal that $50 million was lavished on some 220 conferences for employees between 2010 and 2012.
In one case alone, the report finds that the IRS spent $4 million on a conference for 2,600 IRS employees held in Anaheim, California in August of 2010.
According to Rep. Darrell Issa (R, CA) this is an “abuse of taxpayer dollars.”
The website of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee reports that, “contrary to established government contracting practices, the outside …

LET’S ALL SUE THE I.R.S.!
  3 Jun 2013     6:56 pm      Josh Bernstein

Unless you have been living under a rock or in a cave somewhere you have heard all about the I.R.S. scandals. The Internal Revenue Service, or should it be renamed the Internal Rectal Service has been intentionally performing financial colonoscopies on Conservatives from all walks of life for the past few years.
The so called “neutral” and “nonpartisan” I.R.S. has been poking, prodding, and picking on Conservatives and Conservative leaning groups and organizations by stonewalling, delaying, and outright denying their applications for funding and tax exempt statuses.
They have targeted Tea Party …

WaPo/ABC Poll: Obama Lying About Benghazi, IRS Targeting ‘Inappropriate,’ Media Still Distrusted
23 May 2013     3:30 pm      Warner Todd Huston

A new poll conducted jointly by The Washington Post and ABC News revealed some interesting trends. Among other findings, more Americans feel that Obama and his administration are lying about Benghazi, a majority feel that the IRS acted inappropriately by targeting conservative groups, and the media is still distrusted with a majority feeling that the Justice Department’s seizure of the AP’s phone records was justified. Despite all this disapproval, Obama’s approval rating is still just over 50 percent positive.

An important metric in the ABC/WashPost poll was the question of whether …

Obama’s IRS Nightmares
  23 May 2013     12:01 am      Robert Cleveland

With so many scandals going on, and so many Obama administration officials claiming so much ignorance, it really makes you wonder: just who is running things in the White House, anyway?
From all appearances, the answer is “no one.” It’s like watching Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz, as President Obama is constantly trying to cover his incompetence, and Press Secretary Jay Carney never seems to know what the heck is going on.
President Obama has supposedly taken decisive action, requiring the resignation of the temporary IRS chief, who was set to resign …

Washington Post: Government Powers Should Never Be Used For Partisan Purposes
  12 May 2013     8:51 am      William Teach

Let’s jump way back in time to the beginning of the week. Some guy said this at a commencement ceremony.

PRESIDENT (NMP) OBAMA: Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They’ll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique …
