Why Did National GOP Operative Favorite a Teen Porn Site on Twitter?
11 Jul 2014     11:47 am      Warner Todd Huston

In this electronic age it is hard to understand how any savvy political operative can be so stupid as to get caught in an electronic imbroglio of his own making. Can you imagine a big political operative favoriting a teen porn website on Twitter, for instance? One would think that a big time political hatchet man would not be that stupid. But here we have a case of it anyway with National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) operative Brad Dayspring who did just that very insanely stupid thing.
After the GOP …

Defiant: New Hampshire GOP Establishment Gov. Candidate Calls Tea Partiers ‘Teabaggers’
10 Jul 2014     8:01 pm      Warner Todd Huston

New Hampshire GOP establishment has foisted Walt Havenstein on the state as the Republican candidate for Governor. But, typical of these establishment types, it seems that they have more contempt for people on their own side than they do for the real enemy; the Democrats. Havenstein, for instance, calls you Tea Partiers the disgusting name “teabaggers.” Not only that but he refuses to apologize for his slander.
Havenstein was recorded on video calling members of the Tea Party “teabaggers” at talk he gave a few years ago at the University of …

George W. Bush outclasses Barack Obama’s Fourth of July message by a country mile
7 Jul 2014     3:12 am      Cheryl Carpenter Klimek

It’s no secret that President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush have contrasting leadership styles, and it was reflected in the very different messages the two sent celebrating the Fourth of July.
Obama’s Facebook page posted this, as pointed out by the Young Conservatives:

Always including a photo of himself in commemorating occasions, the president’s Twitter account posted this:
On #IndependenceDay, wave the stars and stripes with pride.
— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) July 4, 2014

While everyone enjoys fireworks, most Americans feel a strong sense of patriotism on Independence Day, celebrating those who have protected our freedom throughout history.
Bush expressed …

NRSC Strategist Brad Dayspring’s Teen Porn Problem (WARNING: Graphic)
  4 Jul 2014     12:01 am      John Hawkins

It’s not exactly shocking that a lot of Americans secretly look at porn. However, it is still a bit of a surprise that a prominent married employee of the National Republican Senatorial Committee would favorite a graphic teen pornography link on his public twitter account.
Dayspring, who habitually gets into fights with grassroots conservatives on twitter, was going back and forth with blogger/activist Charles Johnson of Gotnews when Johnson posted this tweet (WARNING: Graphic!).
Here’s a better photo of Brad Dayspring’s favoriting a PORN tweet. Your NRSC at work… #mssen

VOTER FRAUD ALLEGATION: Thad Cochran’s Campaign Paid $15 per vote to cheat his way to victory over Tea Party Challenger
  1 Jul 2014     6:22 am      John Hawkins

It was bad enough that John McCain, Mitch McConnell, Karl Rove, the Chamber of Commerce and NRSC were fine with Thad Cochran smearing Tea Partiers as racists to turn out DEMOCRATS to win a Republican Primary.

That was dishonorable.
However, it looks as if Thad Cochran’s campaign may have gone beyond dishonorable all the way to outright fraud.
Mississippi’s Democratic Party Chairman Rickey Cole has already noted that, “Large sums of cash are being passed around. These guys are old-school ‘walking around money’ vote buyers.”
Well now, there’s an operative …

STOLEN ELECTION IN MISSISSIPPI? McDaniel Supporters Barred From Continuing To Review Voter Rolls AFTER Fraud Found
28 Jun 2014     10:47 am      Warner Todd Huston

After the GOP establishment threw the race card and cajoled Democrats to come vote for incumbent Republican Thad Cochran in the Mississippi primary, now his opponent, Chris McDaniel, says he has found multiple districts where vote fraud occurred essentially stealing the election away from him.

Jim Hoft has the details…

The Chris McDaniel campaign identified multiple Mississippi counties in which enough improper ballots were cast that a legal challenge to the outcome of the election is warranted.
This comes after 25,000-35,000 Democrat votes helped push Thad Cochran to victory over Chris McDaniel (by …

Virginia Betrayal: The Republicans’ False Claim of Party Unity
27 Jun 2014     4:21 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Yesterday I noted that it is time for conservatives to start planning the demise of the Republican Party and today, in Virginia, we get one more example of why this is a necessary action. We see it in what the GOP establishment did to Dave Brat, the man who beat Eric Cantor in this month’s primary, and it is a perfect example of how the GOP’s claim that party unity is important is simply a flat out lie.

Remember how this always works: When a conservative challenger loses a primary to …

With Thad Cochran it’s Time to Think Long Term About Destroying the GOP
26 Jun 2014     3:23 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The tea party movement is often accused of not thinking long term. In many cases this is probably a true accusation because most tea partiers think an election is a goal in and of itself. But with the underhanded, anti-conservative, un-American tactics of the GOP establishment that gave Thad Cochran a primary win in Mississippi, it is obviously time for the tea party to start planning the destruction of the GOP establishment.

Thad Cochran and his patrons allied with former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour did not run an honorable campaign. In …

John Boehner Suing Obama Over Abuse of Executive Powers
  26 Jun 2014     9:48 am      Cassy Fiano

Could it be that Republicans are finally learning to grow a spine? They’ve been talking a strong talk over the past month or so, and now John Boehner has announced that he plans to sue Obama for abusing his executive powers.

The House will vote next month on legislation authorizing a campaign-season lawsuit accusing President Barack Obama of failing to carry out the laws passed by Congress, Speaker John Boehner announced on Wednesday.
In a memo distributed to House members, Boehner accused Obama of “aggressive unilateralism” and said if left unchecked, …

Congratulations To The GOP Establishment On Their Pyrrhic Victory In Mississippi Yesterday
  25 Jun 2014     3:49 am      John Hawkins

Last night, Thad Cochran beat Chris McDaniel in a primary run-off and became the GOP’s Senate candidate in Mississippi.

It wasn’t an honorable victory.
Cochran won by getting Democrats to vote in a Republican primary. This was done by touting his support of food stamps. It was done by paying “walking around money” to buy votes. It was done by smearing Tea Partiers as racists.
That’s what it took to re-elect a senile 76 year old man that few people even believe is mentally capable of serving out another term in the Senate.
The …

Judd Gregg Unintenionally Highlights What’s Wrong With The GOP
  16 Jun 2014     7:45 am      William Teach

You remember Judd Gregg: he is a Republican who was Governor of New Hampshire, then served as a US Senator from New Hampshire. He has had his good points as a Conservative and poor points. However, he seems to be part of the GOP Establishment wing, which brooks no dissent within its ranks
Troubles of party system laid bare
Once there was a Republican Party; today there is not.
Once there was a two-party system in America; today there is not.
Those, in a nutshell, are the most serious and substantive lessons to be …

Obama “Won’t Lift a Finger” to Help US Marine In Mexico Jail says Rep. Salmon
  12 Jun 2014     1:05 pm      Katie McGuire

I’m pro-military, and I am not afraid to say so.
My baby sister, who would probably die if she heard me say that about her, is a Marine. Sure, she’s no longer active duty, but once a Marine, always a Marine. She bravely went on two tours, to Iraq and Afghanistan and fought to make sure that we can all stay free.
That’s why THIS story is so close to my heart.
“Time and time again the comment was made that we leave no soldier behind and then the other comment was under Article 2 …

Liberal Media Are Very Concerned Over Cantor’s Primary Loss
  12 Jun 2014     7:25 am      William Teach

They are Very Concerned about the extremists taking over or something. Here’s the NY Times Editorial Board
The forces of political nihilism not only remain alive and well within the Republican Party, but they are on the rise. Witness the way they shook Washington on Tuesday by removing from power Eric Cantor, the House majority leader, who had been one of the most implacable opponents to the reform of immigration, health care and taxation. His crime (in addition to complacent campaigning)? He was occasionally obliged, as a leader, to take a …

Rand Paul Makes Trade Joke, Liberals Show They Have No Sense Of Humor
  7 Jun 2014     7:46 am      William Teach

But, then, we knew Liberals are generally devoid of any humor, especially regarding politics. Their idea of “funny” is jokes about assassinating George Bush and jokes about Conservatives dying.
(The Blaze) In a speech at the Texas GOP Convention in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) cracked a joke at Democrats’ expense that’s sure to rile up his political opponents.
“Mr. President, you love to trade people,” Paul said, according to Politico. “Why don’t we set up a trade? But this time, instead of five Taliban, how about five …

Duck Dynasty Star Tells GOP to ‘Get Godly’ Says ‘We’re Up Against Evil’
31 May 2014     11:30 am      Warner Todd Huston

Duck Dynasty chieftain Phil Robertson has some advice for the GOP. They better “get Godly” or they will continue to lose elections. Robertson is not backing down in any way at all from what liberals called his “controversial” comments last year, either.

Bill Hallowell tells us…

“Duck Dynasty” patriarch Phil Robertson, who recently doubled down on his views on homosexuality, clearly isn’t afraid to wade into contentious territory.
In a speech he delivered Thursday, Robertson did just that, telling the GOP to “get Godly” and decrying some of the White House’s recent actions …

Freedom Index
  30 May 2014     1:44 pm      Dave Blount

Bad as Republicans can be, Democrats are far worse. Next time someone hands you the cliché that there isn’t a dime’s worth of difference between the two, point them to the Freedom Index:
A Congressional Scorecard Based on the U.S. Constitution rates congressmen based on their adherence to constitutional principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, national sovereignty, and a traditional foreign policy of avoiding foreign entanglements.
If you are unlucky enough to be represented by a Democrat, check out his or her score: chances are good it will be well under 50%.

GOP Promise: Hey, We’ll Pass Let’s-Not-Call-It-Amnesty If We Retake The Senate
  16 May 2014     7:50 am      William Teach

The Republican Party is set up quite nicely to regain control of the Senate this election cycle. And, of course, Republican pundits were wondering just how the GOP would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Well, here’s on big way
(The Hill) Senate Republicans say they’ll try to pass immigration reform legislation in the next two years if they take back the Senate in November.
The Republicans say winning back the Senate will allow them to pass a series of bills on their own terms that have a better chance of …

Senator Rand Paul Wants To See The Drone Memos
  12 May 2014     8:55 am      William Teach

No matter what your opinion of Senator Paul, you do have to admire that when he goes after an issue, he doesn’t just trump it then forget it. Ever since his filibuster on drones, of which he wrote that it was just the beginning, he’s continued with the subject. He cares heavily on the subject of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Privacy and 4th amendment rights are important to him. He’s sued Obama over NSA spying on Americans. And here is on drones again
(NY Times) I BELIEVE that killing …

Rand Paul Thinks Hillary’s Benghazi Incompetence Should Preclude Her From Ever Being President
  11 May 2014     5:00 pm      Alyssa Lafage

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke this past Friday at the Republican National Committee spring meeting hosted at the Peabody hotel in Memphis, TN, where he took aim at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s actions related to the Benghazi terror attack. He believes that Hillary’s actions have precluded her from being qualified to be commander-in-chief. Take a listen:

This wasn’t the first time Paul took aim at Hillary’s leadership. Back in 2013, he spoke to cadets at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.and expressed similar sentiments:
“To my mind, you should never have a commander in chief who is …

Washington Post: NC Senate Race Most Important In Country
  8 May 2014     7:26 am      William Teach

The front page of the Washington Post by Dan Baltz says the race for the Senate seat currently occupied by Kay Hagan is the most important in 2014. The individual page says it sets the stage for the 2016 presidential election. Maybe, maybe not. Either way, or no way, it certainly highlights the difference between the GOP and the insane Democrats
North Carolina is this year’s ground zero in American politics. There are other highly competitive races around the country, but no contest so neatly captures all the conflicting currents of …
