A fractured party is a losing party
  19 Apr 2013     12:49 pm      Josh Bernstein

Why is it that when Democrats govern like Socialist dictators they win, but when Republicans govern like Democrats they lose? The sad part is that both parties govern in such a similar capacity that it is hard to tell them apart these days. Both parties have an insatiable appetite for spending; and fiscal discipline in Washington is as rare as a snowstorm in Phoenix.
Neither party has shown the ability to govern the American people the way our Constitution originally intended. One could argue that we technically have not had a …

In God America Must Trust
  4 Aug 2012     8:55 pm      Michael Fell

Once upon a time, in what now seems like a far-distant land, a young President inspired America with the words: “Ask not, what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
Today, despite the fact that their country is rapidly approaching $16 trillion in debt, there are millions of Americans wondering when they are going to get “their fair share” of what their country “owes them”.  Thanks to continued distortion and misrepresentation of the facts by those in whom they have misplaced their trust, these …

Romney Is Not Reagan, But Is The Best Option
  22 Jun 2012     1:27 am      Michael Fell

While it was definitely one of the elements, Ronald Reagan did more to help defeat the Soviet Union than conduct financial warfare via economic pressures.  U.S. defense spending increased during his administration.  Having faced the brunt of Adolf Hitler’s blitzkrieg, which was built post WWI in violation of the Treaty of Versailles, the Soviet Union’s Politburo watched this spending increase and knew its meaning.  That understanding and their fear of SDI made them respect Reagan and convinced them that Reagan was willing AND READY to protect, defend and advance American …

Adieu France, So Long Stability
  19 Jun 2012     5:06 pm      Michael Fell

French Socialist President Francois Hollande’s newly elected government is planning to raise taxes on big companies while deterring businesses from engaging in layoffs by making that process more costly.
Hoping to nudge companies into investing rather than paying profits to shareholders, the government plans to impose a new 3% tax on dividends. Other plans include raising levies on capital gains, a special tax on banks and on energy companies, as well as imposition of government policies requiring the sale of profitable businesses in lieu of closure.
France’s Socialist government will dictate that …

Salon’s Joan Walsh: Reagan Dems Voted GOP in 1980 Because They Were Raaaaacists
15 Dec 2011     1:44 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Did you know that the only reason those famed “Reagan Democrats” voted for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984 was because they were… uh… racists? Well on the little watched Ed Show on MSNBC, Salon’s Joan Walsh assured the nation — or at least the 20 people watching — that this was the truth.
Sometimes a talking head on TV will say something so stupid that jaws drop nationwide as a result. Often that stupidity becomes the talk of the news cycle, too. But usually that only happens when there …

Is The RNC Relevant?
  8 Dec 2011     4:27 pm      Michael Fell

The current White House occupant spewed so many lies during his taxpayer funded December 6th campaign stop in Osawatomie Kansas that I had to turn his speech off before screaming objections to his rubbish filled remarks destroyed my vocal cords.
When speaking of Conservative economic policy…and I quote: “But here’s the problem:  It doesn’t work.  It has never worked.  It didn’t work when it was tried in the decade before the Great Depression.”
Really?
Then why were they called the roaring twenties?  Facts are, detailed IRS data shows that the Mellon tax cuts resulted in greater tax payments and a larger tax …

Why-Not Ron Paul
  15 Nov 2011     7:11 pm      Michael Fell

Greetings from Los Angeles County.  That’s Los Angeles CA, the State who’s Repubican Party gave the world President Ronald Reagan.
President Reagan was a great leader who built a winning coalition on fiscal responsibility, traditional American moral values and peace through strength. President Reagan’s policies created years of robust economic growth in America while leading to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the removal of the Berlin Wall.
The only point of agreement between Reagan’s winning Republican coalition and Ron Paul is fiscal responsibility. Ron Paul and his supporters should get honest with themselves …

Ga. Middle School: Muslim Polygamy Is Normal, Burkas Good For Women
24 Sep 2011     8:24 pm      Warner Todd Huston

-By Warner Todd Huston
A middle school in Smyrna, Georgia included in an assignment material that essentially shows 7th grade children that Islamic polygamy is a perfectly legitimate concept and that there is nothing wrong with the strict dress codes used to oppress Muslim women the world over.
The material was presented to the 7th graders at Campbell Middle School as part of a discussion of the school’s dress codes, apparently meant to use the ideas of Islamic culture for women’s clothing as some sort of example to compare how the school …

Shame On Obama’s Ambassador to the U.K.
6 Jul 2011     12:14 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The political hack that Obama sent to be our ambassador to the United Kingdom has shown himself to be just that, a useless, inexpert, political hack. This hack didn’t bother to attend a large dinner given to celebrate the life and work of an American president, embarrassing Americans and British alike.
Last weekend, to celebrate the special relationship that was built between the U.S. and the Brits, a wonderful statue of Ronald Reagan was unveiled in Grosvenor Square, London. Later that night a dinner was held to top off the celebration …

VIDEO: A Time for Choosing
23 Jun 2011     10:55 am      Warner Todd Huston

“So we have come to a time for choosing,” warned Ronald Reagan in his famous speech nominating Barry Goldwater for President in 1964. It was one of the most important speeches in American history — and remains terrifyingly true today.
Millions without jobs. American values under attack. Bailouts, deficits, and debt that threatens the future for our children and grandchildren. Will the citizens of this great country allow it to continue?
America truly faces a time for choosing in November 2012. Stand with us to retake America and win one for the …

Superbowl Fail: Superbowl’s Ronald Reagan Video All But Ignored
7 Feb 2011     3:12 pm      Warner Todd Huston

As Superbowl XLV began a video celebrating the life of Ronald Reagan was played on the jumbo tron screen in the stadium for the sports fans there to enjoy. It was only fitting seeing as how the game was being played on Reagan’s 100th birthday. But the national audiences were never made aware that this video was played. For the millions of folks at home, Reagan’s birthday was ignored.
This video was part of the Superbowl programing, certainly as official as Christina Aguilera’s mangling of the National Anthem and the Black …

ThinkProgress Attacks Ronald Reagan On His 100th Birthday
  6 Feb 2011     7:59 pm      Doug Ross

That was quick–ThinkProgress attacks Ronald Reagan with their usual slate of laughably fraudulent fabrications
It didn’t take long for the loons at ThinkRegress to begin attacking the memory of the 20th century’s greatest president. The culmination of their effort — ‘10 Things Conservatives Don’t Want You To Know About Ronald Reagan‘ — is a list of Reagan’s policies that conservatives supposedly want to hide from the general public.
Reagan was not the man conservatives claim he was. This image of Reagan as a conservative superhero is myth, created to untie the …

Ronald Reagan: Father of the Tea Party
6 Feb 2011     9:55 am      Warner Todd Huston

We are still living in Ronald Reagan’s era, despite the constant refrains from Democrats and the left that Reaganism is long dead. As we observe his 100th birthday, it is also beneficial to point out that in many ways Reagan is the father of the Tea Party Movement. It was his great success, his sunny optimism that gave the Tea Partiers the grounding and confidence that they could, indeed, make a difference.
Like many politically active people today, Ronald Reagan is my favorite president in my lifetime. For me, he was …

Video: President Obama, You’re No Ronald Reagan
  2 Feb 2011     1:18 am      Susannah Fleetwood

This past week, Time magazine wrote an extremely dishonest column comparing Barack Obama to Ronald Reagan. In fact, Michael Sherer, one of the column’s co-authors, claimed on Hardball that Obama has always seen Reagan as a model, even though Sherer admitted in his column that “Reagan would come to epitomize all that Obama opposed”. That is the understatement of the millennium. Allow me to put it like this–Ronald Reagan strongly believed in American exceptionalism, and he would rather have shaved his head with a cheese grater than …

Video: Those (Liberal) Voices Don’t Speak For The Rest of Us
16 Aug 2010     4:06 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The Republican Study Committee has unveiled a great ad contrasting what Republicans believe and what Democrats believe. Juxtaposing one of Reagan’s great speeches with the words of the Democrats of today, the ad shows how Republicans venerate freedom while Democrats venerate their own power and an ability to command and control all of us. As Reagan said, “Those Voices Don’t Speak For The Rest of Us.”

The Reagan part was pulled from his “A Time For Choosing” Speech from 1964. View the speech HERE.
The only problem as I see it with …

Video: I Am A Tired American
7 Jul 2010     11:36 am      Warner Todd Huston

Well, we just celebrated Independence Day, a day we rejoiced at the things we love about America. But, let’s face it, there are things going on in America today NOT to love.
Here is a video to point out those things we are all “tired of.”

Forgive me if I posted this here before. I can’t remember if I did or not.

‘Why Are Students So Hateful?’
  25 Apr 2010     4:14 pm      Ed Driscoll

Michael Ledeen and PJ O’Rourke agree: the secret to understanding Obama is that he is typical politically correct apple-polishing teacher’s pet of a student that was insufferable in school, and remains so today.

Happy Birthday, Ronald Reagan!
  6 Feb 2010     12:40 pm      B. Daniel Blatt

Today marks the 99th anniversary of the birth of the greatest American president of the second half on the twentieth century, the greatest of the entire century if we consider just domestic policy. Born in Tampico, Illinois, Ronald Wilson never lost faith in the American nation — or the American people.
Or, as the Gipper himself might put it, he always have faith in the American nation and the American people. He kept his optimism even when times were tough. When, before his economic policies kicked in and …
