The CPAC 2013 Experience In Pictures (40 Pics)

If conservative conferences were all on Monster Island, CPAC would be Godzilla. It’s the biggest conference with the biggest names, the most parties and the most press. You want to meet big name conservatives, party, or network? Then CPAC is the best conference to do it at.
The event also has a blistering, hectic pace to it that can catch you by surprise if you’re not used to it. You miss meetings, lose track of people and by the third day, half the crowd is up a couple of hours later …
Joe Biden: Ten Pictures That Will Make You Laugh…Or Cry (Pics)
11 Mar 2013 6:00 am Greg Campbell
Joe Biden, through all of his faults, has always represented to me the ludicrous nature of our winner-take-all electoral system. This man should not be trusted with a sharp pair of scissors, but because he is attached to the Anointed One, the Gary Busey of the executive branch remains a heartbeat away from the Oval Office.
I submit to you the top ten pictures of Crazy Uncle Joe.
And as Vice President Biden crashed a frat party and declared, “You little punks ain’t got nothin’ on ol’ Joe! I am the master …

A Report On My Get-Out-The-Vote Trip To Vegas With Western Representation PAC & DustinStockton.com (18 Pictures)
8 Nov 2012 7:36 am John Hawkins
Western Representation PAC and Dustin Stockton.com were doing a final get-out-the-vote push in Nevada before the election. They offered to fly me out to Sin City to help and since I’d never been before, I thought it was a great opportunity to see the town and hang out with some friends while we helped out in a crucial swing state.
I arrived in Vegas on Friday and super activist Tiffiny Ruegner volunteered to give me a tour of Vegas strip.
Of course, there were the hotels and casinos that even those of …

My 5 Favorite Pictures from CPAC 2012
15 Feb 2012 12:07 am Alexa Shrugged
From Alexa Shrugged:
Ok, considering I only took about 20 pictures, this listing could have been better. I was so lame at CPAC this year that I didn’t even see John Hawkins long enough to make it into his post The CPAC 2012 Experience: 43 Pictures like I have in years past! I worked and didn’t go out Thursday or Friday and was sick on Saturday so I missed out on a TON of fun and I am really disappointed. I miss CPAC already – can’t wait for 2013, in so …

3 Reasons Why CPAC is a Must For Every Conservative Activist….[Major Picture Dump]
16 Feb 2011 5:05 pm Susannah Fleetwood
[A big thank you to Richard Hornsby for the photo]
This past Wednesday through Saturday, The American Conservative Union sponsored the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, or CPAC. CPAC was open to all conservative activists who wanted to attend. This year, I had the honor of being a credentialed blogger for CPAC, and, thus, was able to sit in the bloggers’ lounge that was sponsored by Freedom Works. Tabitha Hale, the brains behind the bloggers’ row who put the whole thing together, really outdid herself. (All attendees …
The 2011 CPAC Experience: 68 Pictures (Part 1 Of 2)

The Prelude To CPAC
First of all, if you’ve never attended CPAC, let me give you a sense of it: Imagine a fairly young crowd of 11,000 people, mixed in with policy wonks, political celebrities, and campaign operatives, all roaming the halls of a huge hotel. Every 15-to-20 feet, someone is shoving a flyer into your hands. Some of the events are empty, but most of the ones you really want to see are packed with people and you need to make it into the event early if you want to …

Fri: Day 2 Of CPAC
Ah, day 2…when the early stages of exhaustion begin to set in. So, what do you do when you’re stressed? Why you squeeze an Obama, Pelosi, or Biden stress ball, of course.
I’m declaring those to be the coolest pieces of swag from the conference, even though, for reasons I still don’t fully comprehend, I could never find the Weekly Standard booth where they were supposed to have been giving them away.
That morning, I was happy to be one of about 15 media members who were allowed …
A Report On The Oct 7, 2010 Tea Party In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (5 Pics)
8 Oct 2010 11:46 am John Hawkins
They had a Tea Party last night in Myrtle Beach — and it was a little unusual. It was the first Tea Party I’ve ever been to that was inside a building. It was in a school auditorium — which honestly, detracted from the normal festive atmosphere. There were no signs, there wasn’t a lot of mingling going on, and the speakers were all candidates or former candidates for office.
Overall, the quality of the speakers was good, although it was a bit uneven. The star of the show was …
The 2010 Smart Girl Summit In Pictures (42 Pics)
4 Oct 2010 5:06 am John Hawkins
This past week-end, Smart Girl Politics held its 2nd Annual Smart Girl Summit in Arlington, Virginia.
It was a two day event that had about 200 attendees. Since people are undoubtedly wondering, the ratio of women to men at the event was about 15-to-1. Additionally, percentage wise, there were more minorities at this event than most of the other conservative events I’ve been to lately. I’d say that roughly 10%-15% of the crowd were minorities.
I was there covering the event for Human Events. I also was on the journalism panel …
Tim Scott Celebrates His Birthday…And a Whole Lot More
19 Sep 2010 11:10 pm Susannah Fleetwood
[The above photo is of me and Tim Scott.]
This past Friday evening, a party was thrown in honor of Tim Scott’s forty-fifth birthday. As many of you are already aware, Mr. Scott recently won the Republican nomination for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District after a grueling and hard-fought race–therefore, this party was long over due. Many cool and interesting people were there, and a great time was had by all (of course). Let’s have a look at some of the pictures from the party, shall we?
The above picture …

The fine folks over at Freedomworks brought me to D.C .for the first annual BlogCon.
The event was all about bringing bloggers together from across the country and giving us tools that will enable us to be better at what we do.
Right off the bat, Freedomworks set up a meeting between bloggers and Republican communications directors/new media whizzes from the Hill. That was an extremely productive meeting — well, with the people who were there. Surprisingly, at least to me, it was not heavily attended by Hill …
