Obama’s IRS Nightmares
23 May 2013

Robert Cleveland
With so many scandals going on, and so many Obama administration officials claiming so much ignorance, it really makes you wonder: just who is running things in the White House, anyway?
From all appearances, the answer is “no one.” It’s like watching Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz, as President Obama is constantly trying to cover his incompetence, and Press Secretary Jay Carney never seems to know what the heck is going on.
President Obama has supposedly taken decisive action, requiring the resignation of the temporary IRS chief, who was set to resign …

The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union Turns On Obamacare
22 May 2013
7:16 am
John Hawkins
It caught a lot of people’s attention when Obama’s pals in the roofers’ union flipped on Obamacare and called for its repeal. Now The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union is starting to get in on the act.
The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) — a 1.3 million-member labor group that twice endorsed Obama for president — is very worried about how the reform law will affect its members’ healthcare plans.
…In a new op-ed published in The Hill, UFCW President Joe Hansen homed in on the …

Obamacare To Cost $1.8 Trillion Over First 10 Years
17 May 2013
8:27 am
William Teach
Fortunately, the IRS will be the enforcement agency for Obamacare, wanting tons and tons of your personal and private information, and the person in charge of the IRS department which targeted the TEA Party is running the IRS health care office, so, hey, what else could go wrong?
(Washington Examiner) When President Obama was selling his health care legislation to Congress, he declared that “the plan I’m proposing will cost around $900 billion over 10 years.” But with the law’s major provisions set to kick in next year, a new analysis …

Mitch McConnell: The IRS Can’t Be Involved In Obamacare
16 May 2013
2:11 am
John Hawkins
How damaging is the IRS scandal to the Obama Administration? Well, the Republican’s timid Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who has spent the last five years being beaten like a rented mule by Harry Reid and Barack Obama, is effectively going on the offensive against the Obama Administration for the first time since, well, ever….
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell tells Newsmax TV that the current scandal facing the Internal Revenue Service proves that the agency cannot be trusted to implement Obamacare.
“I don’t think so,” the Kentucky Republican says in an …

HHS: We Need Money To Implement Obamacare
12 May 2013
3:39 pm
Matt Vespa
While last Friday’s IRS bombshell was disturbing, another story equally shocking. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is hungry for funds to implement the Affordable Care Act on time. Congress has rejected the Obama administration’s request for more funds to subsidize the initiative. Sarah Kliff wrote on May 10 that the HHS is working with a “shoestring budget,” and now its secretary is going to the health care industry pleading for money.
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has gone, hat in hand, to health industry officials, asking them to make …

The Obamacare Fall-Out Continues: Retailers Make Historic Cuts To Hours
8 May 2013
7:25 am
John Hawkins
I’ve had one small business owner who is a friend of mine tell me that she’s dropping her company’s health care because of Obamacare. However, other businesses are going a different route and are cutting back on employee hours to make sure their workers aren’t eligible under the Affordable Care Act. This was an expected issue, but it may be even worse than people expected.
Retailers are cutting worker hours at a rate not seen in more than three decades — a sudden shift that can only be explained by the …

Another Liberal Democrat: Obamacare Will Cause Insurance Premiums To “Shoot Up”
6 May 2013
7:27 am
John Hawkins
Isn’t it funny that when Republicans were pointing out issue after issue with Obamacare, Democrats were insisting that the bill was perfect. However, now that Obamacare is about to go into effect, suddenly Democrats are seeing all sorts of problems that they never noticed before.
For example, take far left-wing Senator Ron Wyden from Oregon.
“There is reason to be very concerned about what’s going to happen with young people. If their (insurance) premiums shoot up, I can tell you, that is going to wash into the United States Senate in …

South Carolina House Approves A Bill Criminalizing ‘Obamacare’
6 May 2013
6:18 am
John Hawkins
The more power that moves from D.C. to the states, the better off the American people will be. So, when states draw a line in the sand on the 2nd Amendment or on Obamacare, it’s good news although unfortunately, the Supreme Court doesn’t always rule in their favor.
The latest state to say “no” to D.C. is South Carolina. It’s explicitly saying that it doesn’t want Obamacare in South Carolina.
The South Carolina House approved a bill Wednesday criminalizing the implementation of President Obama’s health care law in the state.
The Republican-controlled …

SC House Passes Bill Making Obamacare Enforcement A Crime

Might this empower and lead other States to do the same?
(Fox News) The bill, approved Wednesday by a vote of 65-39, declares President Obama’s signature legislation “null and void.” Whereas the law that Obama pushed and Congress passed is known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, South Carolina’s law would be known as the Freedom of Health Care Protection Act.
It would prohibit state officials and employees from “enforcing or attempting to enforce such unconstitutional laws” and “establish criminal penalties and civil liability” for those who engage in activities …

Harry Reid: We Need More Money To Keep Obamacare From Becoming A Train Wreck
2 May 2013
6:56 am

Sorry, Harry, Obamacare was a train wreck even before it was passed, and no one has bothered to close the track since
(The Hill) Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) says he shares colleagues’ concerns that the Affordable Care Act could become a “train wreck” if it’s not implemented properly.
Reid warned that people will not be able to choose health insurance plans on government health exchanges if federal authorities lack the resources to set them up and educate the public.
“Max said unless we implement this properly it’s going to be a …

You Might Be A Democrat

You might be a Democrat if you believe…
Fighting against government-subsidized contraceptives constitutes a “war on women,” but when Islamists stone a woman to death because she was raped, it is just “cultural differences.”
The Second Amendment only guarantees the people’s right to own a musket, yet viewing Internet pornography in a public library is protected by the First.
Teaching multiple origin theories in public schools is an abhorrent dilution of science curriculum, but in history class, class time should focus on the contributions of homosexuals and ethnic minorities.
Teenagers should be able to …

The Roofers Union Calls for the Repeal of Obamacare
20 Apr 2013
3:00 pm
John Hawkins
The United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers supported Obamacare when it was being pushed through, but the law is turning out to be such a disaster that it’s become the first union to call for its repeal.
The president of the union, Kinsey Robinson, says he’s concerned that his members may lose their existing healthcare plans. Additionally, the way the Affordable Care Act is written may force the union to drop its health care plan for retirees.
Currently, the union’s health care plan covers up to 2 million dollars …

Massive Obamacare Application Asks About Registering To Vote
26 Mar 2013

William Teach
Should anyone be surprised that the humongous draft application for Obamacare health insurance delves into areas it shouldn’t?
(Washington Examiner) The 61-page online Obamacare draft application for health care includes asking if the applicant wants to register to vote, raising the specter that pro-Obama groups being tapped to help Americans sign up for the program will also steer them to register with the Democratic Party.
On page 59, after numerous questions about the applicant’s identity and qualification for Obamacare, comes the question: “Would you like to register to vote?” The placement of …

As Obamacare Turns Three Americans Still Not Lovin’ It
22 Mar 2013

William Teach
Gee, what’s not to love about legislation that remakes 1/6th of the US economy, insinuating the Government into all our health decisions, raising costs, creating yet another unfunded liability where a board of unelected bureaucrats will be able to make decisions that affect our quality of health care (IPBA), where companies will drop their generous insurance plans, etc and so on. You know the hit parade
Will Americans ever love Obamacare?
All through the Obama years, backers of the Affordable Care Act have lifted their spirits with a consistent refrain: Just you …

Surprise: Insurers Warn Of Skyrocketing Costs Due To Obamacare
14 Mar 2013

William Teach
Nancy Pelosi stated that “we have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” Well, no, not really, because pundits were saying before hand that Obamacare would cause the cost of health insurance to rise. Looks like they were right
(AP) Some Americans could see their insurance bills double next year as the health care overhaul law expands coverage to millions of people.
The nation’s big health insurers say they expect premiums — or the cost for insurance coverage — to rise from 20 to 100 percent for millions of …

ObamaCare gets more and more fun as each day passes (via Hot Air)
(AP) Applying for benefits under President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul could be as daunting as doing your taxes.
The government’s draft application runs 15 pages for a three-person family. An outline of the online version has 21 steps, some with additional questions.
Seven months before the Oct. 1 start of enrollment season for millions of uninsured Americans, the idea that getting health insurance could be as easy as shopping online at Amazon or Travelocity is starting to look like …

Let’s Keep It Real
6 Mar 2013

New projections by the Congressional Budget Office show that this could be a record year for federal tax revenue – according to the CBO, the federal government should be bringing in $2.7 TRILLION this year, an all-time record. At first blush, one would think this is good news, and a vindication of President Obama’s “balanced approach.” But even though we’re looking at the possibility of record-high tax revenues, deficits are projected to be around $850 billion.
So the big question is, does America have a spending problem? Will President Obama’s “balanced …

Oh, Snap: “Obama Prepares To Screw His Base”
11 Feb 2013

William Teach
I appreciate Buzz Feed’s Ben Smith giving me a good and hearty belly laugh first thing in the morning with that headline, and even funnier as one starts to read the article
President Obama’s enemies often accuse him, in the starkest political terms, of crudely acting to shift resources toward his political base: Green energy donors; single women; Latinos; African-Americans.
But the next 12 months are likely to reveal the opposite. Imminent elements of Obama’s grandest policy move, the health care overhaul known as ObamaCare, are calculated to screw his most passionate …

Whatever Happened to Free Obamacare?
6 Feb 2013

Rachel Alexander
The IRS issued regulations last week announcing that the cheapest insurance plan under Obamacare will cost a family of five $20,000 per year by 2016. That estimate is based on choosing the plan offering the least benefits, the bronze plan. Government employees with their heavily subsidized healthcare and those who haven’t been able to afford health insurance the last few years are in for a rude awakening when they realize how much health insurance for the private sector has increased over the last few years, especially due to Obamacare. Low-income …

Obama Operatives Training Media How to Sell Obamacare
3 Feb 2013
12:59 am
Warner Todd Huston
The Old Media is getting a little help from team Obama on how to report about Obamacare the “correct” way. To achieve that goal, Obama operatives are setting up propaganda symposiums for journalists and giving large cash donations to journalism associations to help spread Obama’s word.
This Obamacare propaganda campaign seriously blurs the line between government and “journalism” and seems to be a blatant attempt by team Obama to write the media’s Obamacare stories for them.
Rusty Weiss recently discussed a series of large donations made to the Society of American Business …
