Why Julian and Joaquin Castro could be the Next Fidel and Raul
  25 May 2014     6:16 pm      Josh Bernstein

While most Americans are celebrating Memorial Day Weekend and giving thanks to those that sacrificed their lives for freedom and liberty, the President just nominated a cabinet member who if confirmed by the Senate could one day possibly be more of a threat to freedom and liberty than The President himself.
That man is current Mayor of San Antonio Julian Castro. Why did the President nominate this man to become our next Housing and Urban Development Secretary? Why is he so dangerous? Who is Julian Castro?
Julian Castro, along with his twin …

Verdict for America: Solutions for our Most Pressing Problems
  5 Dec 2011     4:57 pm      Rachel Alexander

Bill Ponath, an attorney and long-time pro tem judge, has written the definitive up-to-date and eye-opening book on the most critical issues facing the U.S. Written so anyone will understand, but not so basic as to bore the experienced politico, he analyzes eight issues thoroughly and recommends insightful common sense solutions.
At one point the U.S. had its act together. Bill lays out the mistakes we made and the only rational solutions to overcome our errors. For example: In Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia their economies tanked based upon their socialist/communist …

Blame Corporations?
  12 Oct 2011     5:29 pm      Michael Fell

Would you hire people purely out of national loyalty knowing that doing so meant your company would eventually become fiscally insolvent?
Corporations, like any business, are in business to make profits. Jobs are the byproduct of profits, not the other way around. Until U.S. corporate tax rates are cut to globally competetive levels, the corporations will outsource jobs overseas in order to make profits for their investors. Unless capital gains taxes are reduced to globally competetive levels, private capital is disincentivized to invest in America. Until Dodd Frank is repealed, small …

Decade Of War
  7 Sep 2011     10:31 am      Courtney Messerschmidt

The last ten years has seen a semi unbound Great Satan – using her fire power, brain power, will power and staying power all across the globe in war.
Wars occur at unpredictable times, take unpredictable courses and have unexpected consequences.

Some wars are carefully planned, but even those wars rarely take place as expected. Think of the Germans in World War I, having planned the invasion of France for decades and with meticulous care. Nothing went as planned for either side, and the war did not take a course …

If 911 Never Happened…
  6 Sep 2011     10:04 am      Courtney Messerschmidt

“And it came to pass in the decade after 911, alternate response and historical revisonary visions  did abound“
The events of 9/11 reverberated through many spheres of American life but nowhere more profoundly than in American policy toward the outside world.

We launched two wars, in Afghanistan and Iraq. We organized counterterrorism operations in far-flung places such as the Philippines and Yemen, changed the culture of our military and reoriented our foreign policy. We sharpened our focus on al-Qaida and its imitators. And we spent, according to one estimate, $3 trillion.
And …

“Killing To Control”
  6 Jul 2011     11:04 am      Courtney Messerschmidt

Bloody L!
Congrats to W. F. Owen – long time British Army Theorist, Little Satan fan and GsGf’s  asymmetrical warfare counselor – scored a significant coup with publication in the latest issue of British Army Review (PDF available here and at Small Wars Journal)  with the delightfully crunk deadly ditty:

“Killing Your Way To Control”

Hotter than a firecracker – WilF – as he’s affectionately known in the ancient arcane Dark Arts of Counter Insurgency community – takes on and out sev holy cows of ‘Surgin’

Why Veena Malik’s Smackdown of an Egyptian Mullah was a Seminal Moment for Feminism
  30 Mar 2011     3:39 pm      Susannah Fleetwood

Two days ago, Allahpundit picked up the story of gorgeous Pakistani actress, Veena Malik, courageously going off on an Egyptian Mullah who accused her of “immorality” because he didn’t approve of her appearance, or the fact that that she appeared on an Indian equivalent of the television show Big Brother. Jonah Goldberg was the first major blogger to report on this story, and it has been all over the right-wing blogosphere ever since. So, what makes this a possible seminal moment for feminism instead of just another viral …

4 Reasons Why the MSM Botched the Tuscon Massacre, and Why they Owe the Victims and Sarah Palin an Apology
  16 Jan 2011     4:33 pm      Susannah Fleetwood

[H/T Toby Toons for the image.]
This past week in the wake of the shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords by Jared Lee Loughner (that killed six people and wounded nine others–including the congresswoman), the mainstream/liberal media instantly pounced on “the violent rhetoric” by Sarah Palin and the Tea Party as the cause of Loughner’s mad shooting spree. Oh, and they did this within half an hour of the victims being shot, before any of the facts of the case had come in. To be specific, the likes of Andrew …

To be specific, Smitty wrote the following about his upcoming deployment to Afghanistan:

Reid’s former Press Secretary Situation Screams Another Threat To Our Nation
  28 Oct 2010     9:59 am      Heather Bachman

Political offices have their own personalities, usually reflecting either the leadership or the party involved.  However, there is an unspoken rule and understanding that whatever you do or have done can and will affect your political boss.  In turn, the political leader has a consistent requirement to know pretty much everything about you and the people you commiserate with.  Factors of the relationship such as a romantic involvement, professional partnership or more importantly, marriage give the information a higher ranking.  Recently, information regarding Nevada legislator and party leader’s supposed lack …

What the GOP Pledge Reflects and Why We Need To Stand By It
  29 Sep 2010     11:05 am      Heather Bachman

When the Pledge to America was first announced, it immediately met backlash from the other side of the aisle. President Obama began a tour dedicated specifically to breaking down the plan’s items one by one.  While to many political strategists, this response may be seen as politics as usual, there are many holes in the argument that show his plans and the plans of his liberal followers may be sinking their own ship.
Turmoil of so many levels have been consistently invading within the nation.  As a result, the …

Democrat Governors’ Reason for Fear of the Immigration Lawsuit Shows How Power Hungry the DNC Is
  13 Jul 2010     5:43 pm      Heather Bachman

While the statement may bring a sigh of relief to some who are happy to see that at least our state leaders know what really needs attention, deeper within their rejection of the lawsuit, you see nothing but the dangerous hunger of the liberals. Despite this lawsuit being an example of a nation attacking itself from within in an already challenging time, it wasn’t the action that the governors are snubbing but the timing of the action so close to November of 2010.
It is not problematic that the lawsuit involved …

Dumb Dems’ Job Ideas: Who’s Crazier?
  8 Jul 2010     10:57 am      Alexa Shrugged

Via Ace of Spades and UK Guardian – Alvin Greene, the crazy jobless guy running for Senate in South Carolina has ideas on how to create jobs:
“Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays. Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That’s something that would create jobs. So you see …

“Legally, it’s all over, and we have no chance. It’s a done deal. Sakine can be stoned at any minute. But we have experienced again and again that when we organize events world-wide, when we protest world-wide, and in particular when we contact European governments and these governments put pressure on the Islamic regime in Iran, sometimes we have a chance.”
This needs more attention!!! It really makes you appreciate the rights and freedoms we have in America – including …

Why Obamanomics Has Failed WSJ
The president, his friends and advisers talk endlessly about the circumstances they inherited as a way of avoiding responsibility for the 18 months for which they are responsible. But they want new stimulus measures—which is convincing evidence that they too recognize that the earlier measures failed.
EXACTLY! Instead of blaming Bush, get up and do something about it! Kind of like Gov. McDonnell did!
