Meg Lanker-Simons: Still Another Hate Hoaxer
2 May 2013
12:37 pm
Dave Blount
Yet another one:
A well-known female liberal blogger and radio host at the University of Wyoming (UW) is being accused by police of fabricating a rape threat against herself to appear as if it came from a conservative.
The obscene message directed at activist Meg Lanker-Simons was posted on a college “crush” Facebook page earlier this week and immediately ignited outrage from the college community.
“I want to hate f**k Meg Lanker-Simons so hard. That chick that runs her liberal mouth all the time and doesn’t care who knows it,” it read. …

Surprise: Liberals Become Violent During May Day “Protest”
2 May 2013
7:26 am
William Teach
They were probably not even sure what they were supposed to be protesting. There was the usual smattering of amnesty, give us someone else’s money, social justice, pro-Palestinian, Israel hatred, communist love, and anti-capitalism signs and rhetoric on view, all on a day originally designed to celebrate spring (except in Colorado, what with all their new snow) but taken over by communists to celebrate international workers day (where they apparently do not bother actually working)
(Fox 13) May Day protests in downtown Seattle Wednesday night turned violent for the second straight …

Andrew Was Right: National Review’s Pigford Editorial
2 May 2013
12:01 am
Warner Todd Huston
On April 29, one of conservatism’s leading journals, National Review, published a lead editorial on the Pigford scandal not only noting at the outset that Andrew Breitbart was right all along, but that the scandal deserves more attention nationally.
As it wraps up, the NR piece arrives at the logical conclusion that Obama’s expansion of Pigford payouts “resembles in organization and aim a criminal conspiracy of breathtaking proportions, and one in which the federal government was first complicit and then ultimately responsible.”
Just so. But along the way, NR gives readers …

AP Edits ‘Muslim’ Out of Obama’s ‘Muslim Socialist’ WHCD Joke
30 Apr 2013
6:54 pm
Warner Todd Huston
In some of its reports on Saturday night’s White House Correspondents Dinner (WHCD), the Associated Press chose to edit one of President Obama’s own gags. The AP strangely edited out the word “Muslim” in one of Obama’s self-referential jokes.
Early in his comments on April 26, President Obama made reference to his young life with a joke and a visual image projected on the video screen.
The President joked that everyone loves Michelle and mentioned that she has even appeared on magazine covers. The President said he also appeared on a magazine …

Another Example of How Our Miseducation System is Failing Our Kids
28 Apr 2013
6:01 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Remember how you were taught in school how to add a series of numbers? Remember how you were told to write each set of numbers on top of each other, to stack them so you could then add them together to get a total?
Kids aren’t taught that any more. In fact, the system of “cubes, sheets, sticks and dots” they are taught now is so convoluted, involved and confusing that it often results in wrong answers. But correct answers isn’t the goal for today’s fetid school systems. “The process” is …

3D-Printed Guns Can’t Be Stopped
26 Apr 2013
8:29 pm
Warner Todd Huston
According to many at the 3D Printing Conference and Expo, 3D-printed guns are inevitable despite the efforts of some 3D printer companies and politicians to try and stop it.
The expo now underway in New York revealed opposing views on the issue of printed firearms, but according to 3D gun advocate Cody Wilson, 3D-printed guns are not only already here but should be legal.
Wilson, the founder and director of Defense Distributed, scoffed at claims by other conference speakers that 3D-printed guns are still not technologically viable. “No, it’s here today,” he …

Big Three Networks Cover Internet Cats Pics, Lit Trivia, Canadian Clumsiness, But Not Gosnell Trial
25 Apr 2013
11:05 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Another week has gone by and the Big Three Networks, ABC, CBS, and NBC, again gave scant notice to the “house of horrors” that is the Kermit Gosnell abortion trial. The Nets had time for funny cat pictures on the Internet, a Canadian mayor bumping into a camera, and fun trivia about the book Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but little time for the shocking trial in Philadelphia.
As the week of April 15 came to an end, the prosecution finished presenting its case in the Gosnell trial, but the Big Three Nets …

Zakaria: Hey, Those Two Tsarnaev Boys Mean We Need Better Integration Of Muslims
25 Apr 2013
7:06 am
William Teach
More importantly, the media narrative that Boston was just some minor event with no links to any wider Muslim extremist movement continues, as witnessed in Fareed Zakaria’s op-ed.
As we learn more about the brothers Tsarnaev, we are inclined to ask larger questions about their apparent descent into terror. What does it tell us about radical Islam, Russian immigrants, Muslim communities and the breakdown of assimilation? The most accurate answer might turn out to be: not much. Larger phenomena might be at work — but these two young men might not …

Reliable Sources: CNN’s Kurtz Faults CNN’s, NBC’s Boston Bombing Coverage
24 Apr 2013
10:29 pm
Warner Todd Huston
On his Sunday broadcast, CNN’s Howard Kurtz was critical of both CNN’s and the rest of the media’s coverage of the quickly moving story of the apprehension of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects on Friday. “What is the rush to put this information that has not been confirmed on the air?” Kurtz asked of his own network as well as the rest of the progressive media establishment.
Many outlets got early aspects of the story wrong as events unfolded during that hectic Friday afternoon. Some sources said suspects were arrested …

The Power of Being “Offended” in Order to Shut Down Political Debate
24 Apr 2013
6:18 pm
Rachel Alexander
Has society really become quite thin-skinned, or is acting “offended” a new tactic that is being used to shut down legitimate political debate? Progressives are increasingly claiming to be offended whenever those on the right disagree with their left-wing positions. It doesn’t matter what the issue is; the left will divert a legitimate political debate into an accusation that the right disagrees with them because they are full of hate towards them. This puts the right on the defensive, and removes the real debate from discussion. It then becomes difficult …

Boston Bombing “Suspects” Sound Very Much Like Liberals In Their Motivations
24 Apr 2013
7:00 am
William Teach
Let’s see: both liberals and Islamists became radicalized. Both engage in or attempt to engage in violence (though Islamists typically try and kill lots of people more often for their beliefs). Both like to Blame The United States. And…
(Washington Post) The 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings has told interrogators that the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan motivated him and his brother to carry out the attack, according to U.S. officials familiar with the interviews.
Rather, the officials said, the evidence so far suggests they were “self-radicalized” through Internet …

Resident Admits Tsarnaev’s Hate For US is Typical in Cambridge
24 Apr 2013
12:05 am
Warner Todd Huston
What one resident of Cambridge, Massachusetts had to say about the atmosphere in that liberal area of the state was quite telling in revealing how essentially un-American leftism truly is. This resident practically admitted that the in that college town, everyone expresses the same basic hate for America that dead terrorist Tamerlan Tsarnaev so often did. When he terrorist Tsarnaev was heard attacking America in conversation, no one paid it any mind.
In interviews, Luis Vasquez, a Cambridge native who was in the same year at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin …

Michael Bloomberg On The Boston Bombing: We Have To Change How We Interpret The Constitution
23 Apr 2013
11:07 am
John Hawkins
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is exactly the kind of man C.S. Lewis was referring to when he wrote, “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own …

Liberals: Eat Guinea Pigs To Stop Global Warming
23 Apr 2013
10:10 am
John Hawkins
What’s the only thing worse than eating a pet? How about eating a friendly, lovable PET RODENT? Yes folks, believe it or not, there are liberals out there who’ve decided that guinea pigs are “the other white meat.”
Why would liberals eat such sweet little creatures? For the environment, naturally!
Matt Miller with The Nature Conservancy, says “They were encouraging people to switch from cattle to guinea pigs.” According to Miller, “Guinea pigs don’t require the land that cattle do. They can be kept in backyards, or in your home. They’re …

MSNBC’s Harris-Perry: Hey, The Boston Bombers Being Muslim Is Not Relevant
22 Apr 2013
8:05 am
William Teach
Yes, the same lady who thinks your kids aren’t yours, and should be fully handed over to The State.
(Mediaite) Making the point that the Tsarnaev brothers’ Muslim faith at the moment bears little relevance to the investigation into the brothers’ decision to attack the Boston Marathon last week, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry observed that Tsarnaev’s faith is about as relevant to the investigation right now as are Ben Affleck movies about violent events in Boston. Her panel guests agreed and added that Americans have to “otherize” violent actors in order …

Liberal Professor: We Used “Too Much Force” Capturing Boston Bomber.
21 Apr 2013
2:38 pm
John Hawkins
Liberal professor Ruth O’Brien from The City University of New York thinks we may have been a little too tough on the Boston Marathon Bomber who was killed by the police. O’Brien, who’s the author of the forthcoming book, Out of Many, One: Obama and the Third American Political Tradition, chided the Boston police for using “too much force” when they killed, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Sure, he may have killed a lot of people and their lives may have been at risk apprehending him, but they should have been a little …

The Corruption of Big Spending Democrats
20 Apr 2013

Warner Todd Huston
Buried in a recent Politico story is a line that reveals the utter corruption of “money in politics.” But not that of money spent electioneering, but that spent by government from the assumed bottomless pockets of the American taxpayer. It is a corruption that has destroyed the Constitution, laid waste the rule of law, perverted our system, and crushed the American way of life and it must end.
The Politico segment in question is from an April 17 piece talking about the failure of the anti-Second Amendment Democrats of getting their …

A fractured party is a losing party
19 Apr 2013

Josh Bernstein
Why is it that when Democrats govern like Socialist dictators they win, but when Republicans govern like Democrats they lose? The sad part is that both parties govern in such a similar capacity that it is hard to tell them apart these days. Both parties have an insatiable appetite for spending; and fiscal discipline in Washington is as rare as a snowstorm in Phoenix.
Neither party has shown the ability to govern the American people the way our Constitution originally intended. One could argue that we technically have not had a …

One of the newest conservative news sites in Britain, The Commentator, has learned that the British Broadcasting Service (BBC) may have endangered a group of British students during a trip into North Korea by slipping several reporters into the group using student visas as cover for their activities.
The trip was arranged by the London School of Economics’ (LSE) “Grimshaw Club” and took place from March 23 to 30 of this year.
Professor Craig Calhoun, the director of the LSE confirmed that the BBC used its student trip as cover to slip …

Obama’s Budget Would Use Tax $$ to Fund Lobbyists Pushing Tax Hikes

Remember when Obama took office and one of his biggest promises was that lobbyists would never gain a foothold in his Administration? Well, now that he doesn’t have to stand for election again he’s doing his level best to give lobbyists one of their biggest perks yet. He’s trying to make it legal to give them your tax dollars so they can lobby to increase your taxes. And in fact he’s already broken laws governing lobbyists several times since 2009.
A report by the government watchdog group Cause of Action found …
