The REAL Mitt Romney (Video)
  13 Sep 2012     2:23 am      John Hawkins

I kept waiting for the Romney campaign or Crossroads to use this footage in an ad and put some money behind it. Since they didn’t, I thought it was time that someone did.

Gallows of Effigy

Mr. Phipps Explains Himself, and the Gallows of Effigy

This has nothing to do with racism and nothing to do with the Republican Party.  This was done by one man to bring attention to his personal vendetta.
Naturally enough, as was the case with the Gabby Gifford and the Black Knight shootings, “non-racist” “post-racial” “progressive” Democrats are the first to jump on the “This is exactly what comes to my mind when Republicans talk about “reclaiming our country”, “taking our country back”, or the good old days” bandwagon.
Expose the lies of the …

Have The ‘Thought Police’ Arrived At Providence College?
  4 Sep 2012     2:10 pm      Matt Vespa

The bias police have arrived at Providence College. They may not be wearing brown shirts or steel tipped boots, but the school will have a “Bias Response Protocol (BRP) that will be enacted this upcoming semester. The story behind the creatin of this new protocl centers on a graffiti incident that allegedly had racial overtones. The criteria of the BRP was highlighted in an email ascertained though an anonymous source.

The first paragraph mentions the grafitti incident, but also states that the new protocols will help Providence College’s ”efforts to create and …

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: George Zimmerman May Be Innocent
  28 Mar 2012     1:25 am      John Hawkins

It’s entirely possible that George Zimmerman was attacked, defended himself, and did nothing illegal or immoral when he shot Trayvon Martin. So, instead of deciding who’s wrong based on the incomplete evidence the public has in the case right now, maybe people should wait for all the facts to come out before they decide who’s right and wrong. When the facts do come to light, Zimmerman may really turn out to be the bad guy who killed Martin for no good reason, but there’s no way anyone can say that …

False Fronts: Obama Still Pretending Fluke is an Innocent Kid
7 Mar 2012     3:32 pm      Warner Todd Huston

If you want to see how the left skews the narrative using untrue claims and false imagery to sell a message, you don’t need any other example than President Obama’s recent press conference where he continued to perpetrate the myth that Sandra Flake is somehow an innocent coed, a kid barely out of high school, when she is actually a long-time liberal activist in her 30s.
At the press conference the President was asked about Rush Limbaugh and his apology. Not only did Obama drag his own daughters into the debate, …

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: Liberals Sure Do Love To See Babies Die
  7 Feb 2012     2:23 am      John Hawkins

Barack Obama’s trying to force Catholic hospitals to do abortions while liberals are attacking the Susan G. Komen Foundation for not choosing to give $700,000 to Planned Parenthood. You have to go back to the Aztecs to find people so dedicated to killing babies.

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: Rick Santorum is right on gay marriage
  6 Jan 2012     2:19 am      John Hawkins

People should oppose gay marriage. It’s incompatible with Christianity, it won’t stop with gay marriage (Polygamy is next), and we should be trying to builld up marriage, not tear it down.

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: Ron Paul’s Fans Can’t Have It Both Ways
  23 Dec 2011     3:28 am      John Hawkins

Ron Paul’s fans have been complaining that he isn’t being taken seriously. Now that he has a chance to win Iowa because of the lack of scrutiny he’s had so far, people are starting to take Paul seriously and look at some of the crazy things he’s said and wants to do. Ron Paul’s fans don’t seem to like that either. But, you can’t have it both ways. If you want to be President, you don’t get to limit the conversation to the Constitution, deficit cutting, and the gold standard. …

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: People Who OPPOSE Voter ID Are The Real Racists
  13 Dec 2011     7:22 am      John Hawkins

Isn’t it racist to argue that black Americans are too dumb and incompetent to handle getting ID like everyone else in America? Isn’t that the sort of argument that the KKK would make? That everybody in society is smart enough to handle getting photo ID EXCEPT black people?

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: Charging Tea Partiers & Letting Occupiers Protest Free
  29 Nov 2011     3:45 am      John Hawkins

It’s not just morally wrong, it’s unconstitutional for cities like Richmond to charge Tea Partiers to hold protests while they let Occupiers protest for free. Either both groups should be charged comparable rates or neither group should have have to pay. Tea Partiers that have been charged while Occupiers haven’t should demand their money back and sue if they don’t get it.

Liberalism In 120 Seconds: Occupy Denver Protester To Cops: “I Got A Gun, Too!”
  14 Nov 2011     12:01 am      John Hawkins

This is from the Occupy Denver protest on Saturday, November 12. I was in the middle of it with my buddy April Gregory when 300 cops in riot gear faced off with the crowd. April and I were driven across the street by a riot wall, one of the cops later pointed his gun at us, and this guy was completely off his rocker. It was a wild night! PS: I think the cops did a good job overall.
PS #2: My fave line: “I’ll bring my grandmother down here!”
