How Modern Life Transforms Men Into Wussies

“Most people think Marv is crazy, but I don’t believe that. I’m no shrink and I’m not saying I’ve got Marv all figured out or anything, but “crazy” just doesn’t explain him. Not to me. Sometimes I think he’s retarded, a big, brutal kid who never learned the ground rules about how people are supposed to act around each other. But that doesn’t have the right ring to it either. No, it’s more like there’s nothing wrong with Marv, nothing at all–except that he had the rotten luck of being …

20 Of the Greatest Moments In the History Of the Republican Party
26 Feb 2013
2:41 am
John Hawkins
After focusing on 20 Of The Most Embarrassing Moments In The History Of The Democrat Party last week, it seems appropriate to point out some of the greatest moments of the Republican Party.
1) Emancipation Proclamation (1863): The first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, issued an order freeing all slaves in the confederacy.
2) End of the Civil War (1865): Abe Lincoln guides the north to victory in the Civil War and reunites the nation.
3) Women’s right to vote (1872): Republicans Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton write the text of the …
My Day of Resistance Speech
25 Feb 2013

John Hawkins
Last Saturday, 2/23/2013, was the first Day of Resistance.
Dustin Stockton came up with the idea less than seven weeks ago and I am proud to tell you that I am one of the people who was helping out on the national level with the event from Day 1.
Dustin Stockton’s Western Representation PAC and The Tea Party.net put a lot of muscle and money behind the event to get it off the ground. Among others, Tiffiny Ruegner of Women Warrior’s PAC, Jerri Ann Henry, Kellen Guida and Jared from The …
20 Of The Most Embarrassing Moments In The History Of The Democrat Party

For example, one will virtually never hear that the Palmer Raids, Prohibition, or American eugenics were thoroughly progressive phenomena. These are sins America itself must atone for. Meanwhile, real or alleged “conservative” misdeeds — say McCarthyism — are always the exclusive fault of conservatives and a sign of the policies they would repeat if given power. The only culpable mistake that liberals make is failing to fight “hard enough” for their principles. Liberals are never responsible for historic misdeeds because they feel no compulsion to defend the inherent goodness of …

Tomorrow Is The Day of Resistance
22 Feb 2013
10:08 am
John Hawkins
Tomorrow, on 2/23/2013, there will be more than 100 Day of Resistance rallies all across the country, in 38 states, and we expect more than 50,000 attendees nationwide. That’s not too shabby for something that was little more than an idea in Dustin Stockton’s head six weeks ago.
Since then, there have been a handful of people nationally working to make these events lift off, while hundreds of people have been working on the local level.
The thing to remember is that ultimately, this event isn’t about the feel of a …

5 Reasons Cats Are Inferior to Dogs In Every Way
21 Feb 2013
12:16 am
John Hawkins
Are cats really the Honey Boo Boo of the animal world? No, Honey Boo Boo is the Honey Boo Boo of the animal world, while cats are more like the Lindsay Lohan of the animal world — difficult, unpredictable, hard to like, and probably high on catnip. Oh, cats look cute when they’re in the bobblehead kitten stage or swatting away at yarn, but as you get to know the little beasts, you start to realize that they’re merely trying to lull you into complacency so they can steal your breath after …

Why The Hell Should Anyone Vote For The Republican Party?
19 Feb 2013
2:09 am
John Hawkins
The only answer anyone ever seems to be able to offer to that question these days is, “Because the Democrats are worse.” However, the problem with being the lesser of two evils is that you’re still an evil.
Well, what about the GOP’s principles?
What about them?
Name something that the Republican Party stands for today.
Low taxes? We’ve won that battle so thoroughly that 47% of Americans don’t pay income taxes even though we have a trillion dollar deficit. Meanwhile, many of the richest Americans are comfortable enough with what they’re …
15 Things That Are Not Okay For Liberals To Do
16 Feb 2013
12:31 am
John Hawkins
Many liberals have come to believe the rules of morality, decency, and good behavior don’t apply to them. You see, since they’re liberal they think that no matter how racist, sexist, violent, dehumanizing, evil or disgusting their behavior may be, they’re still good people just by virtue of the fact that they’re liberals. Of course, not every progressive feels that way, but almost no one on the Left who disagrees has the courage to speak out against the horrific behavior of his fellow liberals. That’s understandable if you think about …

My latest PJ Media post is called, 7 Types of Chicks Who Annoy Everyone Just By Their Very Existence. Here’s an excerpt from the column.
It’s no secret that there are guys out there who get on everyone’s nerves — the male feminists, the bronies, and dudes who need to pull their pants up. But don’t get too high and mighty, ladies, because no matter how much perfume some of you put on, your crap still stinks, too.

5 Things Americans Shouldn’t Take for Granted

“Those among us who are constantly rhapsodizing about ‘change’ in vague and general terms seem to have no fear that a blank check for change can be a huge risk in a world where so many other countries that are different are also far worse off.” — Thomas Sowell
The reason people who are knowledgeable about our nation’s history are so concerned with following the Constitution, sticking to traditions, and safeguarding our rights is that our country’s success is not the rule. For all the bitter railing you hear against “1%ers,” …
20 Reasons America Is Becoming An Increasingly Nonfunctional Society

John Hawkins
1) Starting in the sixties there was an explosion of children born out-of-wedlock and kids who don’t grow up in two parent families fare more poorly percentage wise on just about any and every scale imaginable including substance abuse, teenage pregnancies, suicide rates, criminality and homelessness.
2) Many people are becoming so childlike in their dependence on the government that they can’t save for their own retirement, escape from an oncoming hurricane, or even purchase their own birth control without the government handling it for them.
3) Our legal system encourages …

2) “Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself – and be lenient to everybody else.” —Henry Ward Beecher
3) “Never give in–never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour …
5 Reasons 2/23/2013 is Going to Be a Day of Resistance
5 Feb 2013

John Hawkins
Last year, when a Republican candidate should have waltzed to victory, Mitt Romney got his teeth knocked in by a man who could fairly be called the single least competent American President in history. This beating had very real consequences.
1) Barack Obama feels empowered: Liberals are always vulgar in defeat and hubristic in victory, but Barack Obama has become so toweringly arrogant that it wouldn’t be a surprise if he were getting himself fitted for a crown. He’s acting as if he expects to have anything and everything he wants …
10 Stories That Prove Guns Save Lives
2 Feb 2013

John Hawkins
In a nation that already has more than 200 million guns, gun control does little other than make the work of rapists, robbers, murderers and nuts like Adam Lanza easier. When faced with gun control laws, the law abiding citizen has no choice other than to disarm or become an outlaw, but people with bad intentions are faced with no such moral dilemma. That’s why the best friend of a rapist or a potential Adam Lanza is the gun control advocate who’s working tirelessly to insure that his targets can’t …

John Hawkins
My latest PJM column is called, 7 Types Of Dudes Who Annoy Everyone Just By Their Very Existence. Here’s an excerpt from the column.
Do you ever want to look at another human being and just say, “Stop it!” Except, before the words leave your mouth, you realize that what you really want the person to do is to stop being himself? Asking a complete ass to stop annoying you is like asking a bird not to chirp or a fish not to swim. No matter how much you try to …

25) “A woman who demands further gun control legislation is like a chicken who roots for Colonel Sanders.” — Larry Elder
24) “I’ve been to dozens of Tea Party rallies. I’ve given at least a half a dozen or more speeches. I have not yet to find the first racist comment or the first person who approaches me from a racist perspective. I will speak very clearly here. Racism is a part of a lot of things in our country. Good people are the predominant fact of our country. I simply …
An Interview With James O’Keefe
28 Jan 2013
10:14 am
John Hawkins
Last week, I was pleased to get the opportunity to interview James O’Keefe of Project Veritas. Over the last couple of years, James O’Keefe has turned out to be the single best investigative journalist in America. He goes after powerful targets the mainstream media won’t touch because it’s liberal, he exposes the media’s hypocrisy, and he gets results. What follows is a slightly edited transcript of our conversation.
Your latest sting focused on guns. Tell us about that.
We did an expose on the issues in Westchester County, New York …

15 Lies of Liberalism
26 Jan 2013
12:39 am
John Hawkins
Liberalism offers up a utopian vision of the world and then invites its practitioners to feel good about themselves for embracing it. Not only does this beautiful fantasy world never come to pass, liberalism fails to address the root causes of the problems it sets out to solve while creating whole new disasters in the process. In other words, it’s a never ending circle. There’s a problem, liberalism is offered up as the solution, it doesn’t work and creates more problems, for which liberalism is offered up as the …

7 Political Questions for Republicans Who Support Amnesty
22 Jan 2013
12:20 am
John Hawkins
Republicans who support amnesty are like global warming alarmists. They can’t answer the most basic questions about what they believe. Since the Republican Party is now once again considering going to war with itself over amnesty instead of trying to move the ball forward for conservatism, it seems like a good time to ask some of the crucial questions that always seem to be conspicuously ignored because the pro-amnesty side has no answers.
1) How many net votes would the GOP lose if illegal immigrants become citizens? Barack Obama beat …
The 40 Greatest Quotes From Winston Churchill

My latest Townhall column is called, The 40 Greatest Quotes From Winston Churchill. Here’s an excerpt from the column.
The finest American President of the 20th century was Ronald Reagan, but the greatest world leader during that time was Winston Churchill. Had the Brits not had a man of his caliber at the helm during World War 2, world history may have turned out very differently. Not only was Churchill a great leader, he was one of the single most quotable men who has ever walked God’s green earth.
40) “It is …
