Debate #3: Bayonets, Horses, And Jihadis
23 Oct 2012

I’m not going to write a whole lot about the debate, since I only saw a few snippets, being at a friends house watching the Bears-Lions game, and John Hawkins does a good job of breaking it all down. Two interesting ones I did hear (while walking in the kitchen for a beer or food, friends wife, a big Obama supporter, was watching it). Here’s the first
(Daily Caller) In a debate exchange Monday night that set Twitter on fire, President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney crossed swords over …

Discussing Obama, Israel Issue with Wasserman Schultz, MSNBC’s Roberts Fails to Bring Up Her False Charge Against GOP

MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz
In yesterday’s broadcast of MSNBC Live, host Thomas Robert interviewed Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz about the presidential campaign, where she naturally got in all her anti-Romney, pro-Obama talking points. At the close of the interview, Roberts asked whether concern for Israel could swing a sizable portion of Jewish voters in Florida to vote for Romney.
Roberts, however, failed to ask Wasserman Schultz about an incident in early September where she misquoted Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren as saying the GOP …

HuffPo Scolds Dems for ‘Caving’ On Reinsertion of God and Jerusalem Into Platform
6 Sep 2012

Warner Todd Huston
It might appear odd, but Huffington Post seems to be scolding the Democrats for having “caved in” to pro-religion and pro-Israel forces in the Democrat Party for succeeding in having God and Jerusalem put back into the Democrat Party platform after they were removed earlier today.
Clearly proving that there is a great division in the Democrat Party over these two issues, Huffington Post’s headline screamed that the Democrats have become “The Pushover Party” now that God and Jerusalem have been reinserted into the party platform.
What is also clear is that …

Up is Down: Media Ignores Romney’s Successes in Overseas Trip
2 Aug 2012
9:05 pm
Warner Todd Huston
What was the most striking thing about Mitt Romney’s overseas trip this week? Says Powerline, the most striking thing is the “hypercritical” coverage given the trip by the American press. In what could only be seen by an unbiased person as a success, Romney’s trip has instead been reported as a gaffe-filled mess.
Romney’s non-controversy comments about the Olympics aside, the worst part of the coverage was all the attention the Old Media lavished on the absurd claim from a member of the Palestinian Authority that Romney was a “racist” for …

If The Palestinians Are Angry, That Means Mitt Is Doing Something Right

It seems that the genocidal, kill-happy savages in the Palestinian territories are none too pleased with Mitt Romney.
Romney, speaking to a group that included Las Vegas casino owner Sheldon Adelson and New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, said higher personal wealth among citizens in Israel was an indication that the country was accomplishing something its neighbors were not.
“As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000 dollars, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed …

North Carolina Democrat Party Considers Anti-Israel Resolution
19 Jun 2012

I’m sure no one is surprised nor shocked by the blatant anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian terrorist leanings of the NCDP
(Daily Caller) The North Carolina Democratic Party (NCDP) is seriously considering passing a resolution that would criticize Israel for its “illegal occupation” of Palestine, the latest in a long line of controversial moves coming out of one of the major battleground states President Barack Obama’s team is banking on to win re-election.
The resolution didn’t pass at this weekend’s NCDP state convention, but was tabled and referred to the executive committee …

Fundraise and Fore! obama’s Answer to World Events

Israel issued warnings over security problems with Egypt. Militants from the Sinai Peninsula crossed over into southern Israel Monday and fired on a border security fence, killing one Israeli. The IDF moved tanks and otherarmed forces to the Israel-Egypt border in response to the attack. Egypt is on the offensive against Israel.
Egypt’s presidential election results lean towards victory for Mohammed Morsi, the radical Islamist Muslim Brotherhood candidate. Thanks at least in part to vocal White House support for the “Arab Spring”, which ushered the Muslim Brotherhood to Egypt’s presidency, Egypt …

The International Conference on Global Governance vs. National Sovereignty, sponsored by American Freedom Alliance, concluded Monday in Los Angeles CA.
The chief question posed at the Conference’s opening: Is Global Governance vs. National Sovereignty the West’s next ideological war?
John Bolton, Former U.S. Ambassador to the UN gave Sunday morning’s Keynote Speech. Ambassador Bolton spoke from first hand experience, sharing front line knowledge accumulated through years of engagement in international diplomacy. He not only gave definition to the term “the Global Governance Movement”, he also described its agenda, which is to subvert …

A Blogger at NATO 2012, What I Saw on Day One

I was awarded press credentials for NATO’s 2012 Summit in Chicago and, having no idea what to expect, what I found on day one was a study in contrasts. What occurred was sometimes amusing, often mundane, and sometimes even violent. But it was all democracy in action.
Early on the morning of day one, Sunday, May 20, I boarded a western Metra train under threat of having my equipment bags confiscated or at least me prevented from boarding the train with them. I was not ruffed up the “the man,” though …

Video: Bragging Mr. President? Heroes Don’t Spike the Football

This video perfectly illuminates the unseemliness of Obama’s constant gloating and bragging that he, himself killed Osama bin Laden.
This video comes out just in time as members of the SEALs are slamming Obama for bragging so much about bagging binnie.
As the caption notes:
America knows who deserves the credit for killing Osama Bin Laden – United States Navy SEALs and the American intelligence community. Join with Veterans for a Strong America and let President Obama know who really deserves the credit.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I agree with President Clinton when …

Suddenly The Actor IS a Reason Condemn a Movie?
13 Apr 2012

-By Warner Todd Huston
Left-wingers have for years complained that conservatives are wrong to condemn a movie based on the outspoken nature or politics of a staring actor or director.
“It’s just a movie,” they tell us and they scold us for not separating the entertainment from the actor’s real life. But now, in a typical hypocritical move, left-wingers are condemning a movie that is in the works precisely because of who is involved in the project, Mel Gibson, someone they do not like. It is hard not to recognize the …

Media Matters’ Resident Anti-Semite Steps Down

MJ Rosenberg, the controversial and virulently anti-Israel Senior Foreign Policy Fellow at Media Matters Action Network, announced in his latest blog posting that he is leaving his $130,000 plus per year job at the organization.
In his Friday, April 6, post, Rosenberg said he is leaving Media Matters because his continued presence is causing “possible harm” to the organization due to his “critical writings about Israel.”
My presence here is being used in an effort to shut Media Matters up. That won’t happen, of course. This is an incredibly successful organization. (Just …

Jimmy Carter Pops Up And Blames Israel Over Iran

I thought Groundhog Day was last month. But, I guess any discussion regarding Israel defending itself wouldn’t be complete without the input of a miserable failure at being POTUS, and a rabid anti-Semite
(Washington Times) Former President Jimmy Carter expressed concerns Tuesday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu may be too willing to go to war with Iran.
“I don’t think that’s his first preference, but I think he’s much more eager to go to war with Iran than President Obama [is]. And I was glad to see President Obama discourage that …

Israel Killed Fewer Civilians in Military Operations Than Others, Including the US
1 Jan 2012
3:01 pm
Warner Todd Huston
The last decade or so we’ve assigned a euphemism to the deaths of civilians in military operations; we’ve called it “collateral damage.” The fact is, though, that deaths of bystanders — purportedly innocent — are almost unavoidable in war operations. After all, war usually entails the indiscriminate firing of automatic weapons or the dropping of large bombs and this simply cannot be done in a surgical manner. But one nation has succeeded in a near total elimination of the deaths of innocents. That country is Israel.
Commendably, Israel has gone far …

Ron Paul: Conspiracy Nut, Anti-Semite
19 Dec 2011

Warner Todd Huston
Last year Ron Paul said that the CIA perpetrated a coup over the United States. “There’s been a coup, have you heard? It’s the CIA coup. They’re in businesses, in drug businesses.” That fits in as just another part of the wacky world of Ron Paul that has spanned decades of denigrating blacks, assigning all sorts of crazy conspiracies to the US government, and above all hatred for Israel. It is a disgusting sin that this man is a political candidate for anything much less for the GOP nomination for …

My Video At Heart of Controversy in Florida House Race

Apparently, a video I made in Denver is at the heart of a controversy in a race for the House of Representatives in Florida.
While at Blogcon 2011 I had the opportunity to interview Karen Harrington, a Republican candidate for the 20th District House seat now held by Debbie Wasserman Schultz — who is also the Chairman of the Democrat National Committee. I made a video of that short interview as I have so many other candidates.
In our interview Harrington, recently endorsed by GOP Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann, went through some …

What About Gilad Shalit (Q&A Friday #108)?

John Hawkins
Question: Nary a mention of Gilad Shalit? And the 1000-1 prisoner swap…that Israel likely agreed to in order to make a cultural and moral statement between them and Hamas (or they just went insane)? — baoxian
Answer: Israel’s hostage swaps are counter-productive. All they’re really doing is rewarding the Palestinians for kidnapping Israelis by releasing terrorists who’ll then turn right around and try to murder more Jews.
In a perfect world, what the Israelis would have done is kill Palestinians until Gilad Shalit was released. Whether they executed prisoners, assassinated Palestinian …

Congress Does The Right Thing By Cutting Palestinian Aid
4 Oct 2011

John Hawkins
You could make an argument that the United States should dramatically cut back on foreign aid just on purely financial grounds. After all, if we don’t have the money to pay our own bills, why in the world are we giving our money away to other countries?
But, let’s say you reject that argument on the grounds that ladling out aid is a foreign policy necessity. Incidentally, there’s some truth to that. Just as an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, it can be a lot cheaper to …
