You Need to Spend Money to Waste Money
6 May 2013

Dave Blount
In order to spend wastefully to the point of collapsing our economic system, the government uses our money to enable still more spending. For example,
A Washington group is criticizing the Senate immigration bill because it allows for up to $150 million for organizations to advertise citizenship opportunities and to help illegal immigrants sign up to become citizens.
The nonpartisan Center for Immigration Services calls the money “slush funds” and earlier this week cited several concerns — particularly that the money can go to the same groups that helped craft the legislation …

Gang Of 8 Bill Could See 33 Million Immigrants In 10 Years
28 Apr 2013
7:50 am
William Teach
Fantastic. In a time when American citizens are struggling for jobs, and good paying jobs, let’s bring in a ton of immigrants, particularly illegals and their families
(Daily Caller) The pending Senate immigration bill would bring a minimum of 33 million people into the country during its first decade of operation, according to an analysis by NumbersUSA, a group that wants to slow the current immigration rate.
By 2024, the inflow would include an estimated 9.2 million illegal immigrants, plus 2.5 million illegals who arrived as children — dubbed ‘Dreamers’ — plus …

The Boston Marathon Bombers Hated America, But Loved Our Welfare System
24 Apr 2013
8:52 am
John Hawkins
It would be irritating under any circumstances for someone to come to this country, become a citizen and then start collecting welfare benefits. If you can’t fend for yourself without taking welfare, why would we want you here in the first place? But, in this case, we have something far more sinister: We funded Jihad against the United States with our welfare system.
Worse yet, we funded not just the bomber, but his whole extended family including the mom who has reportedly been convicted of shoplifting.
According to the Boston Herald,
State officials …

Amnesty Bill Goodie Bag
19 Apr 2013
3:02 pm
Dave Blount
In addition to tricks, the Gang of Eight’s amnesty bill includes treats — including free cell phones:
According to the newly filed bill, immigrants who are allowed to enter the United States under a work visa, will be ‘granted’ a taxpayer funded cellular phone. Move over “Obama phone,” we present the new ‘Hola, Como Estas?!’ MarcoPhone.
The money to pay for these free phones will come from the same place as the jobs mostly unskilled Mexicans are being imported to take despite our staggering 22.9% youth unemployment rate: Never Never Land.
What a …

Judge Says Drunk Illegal Who Dragged Man to Death Incompetent To Stand Trial Because of ‘Unique Cultural Background’
14 Apr 2013

John Hawkins
It was an almost unimaginably horrible scene.
In August of 2011, 23-year-old Matthew Denice was riding his motorcycle in Milford, Massachussetts. Denice was hit by a truck driven by drunken illegal alien, Nicolas Guaman, and his body became tangled with his bike and was pinned in the wheel well of Guaman’s truck.
Denice screamed in pain and pounded on the side of the truck.
Guaman ignored Denice’s pleas for mercy and continued driving for another quarter of a mile, dragging Denice along with him until mercifully, his agony was finally ended …

Why The Rubio/McCain Amnesty Plan Would Mean That We’d Never Have Another Conservative President
22 Mar 2013
3:42 am
John Hawkins
“There are many negative consequences to amnesty, but the one that I think ought to concern this crowd is that if amnesty goes through, America becomes California and no Republican will ever win another national election.” — Ann Coulter
The day 10-12 million illegal aliens become American citizens, the Democrats pad their voter margin by a number as large as the one Obama beat Romney by in 2012. Additionally, while it’s wise to never say never in American politics, it seems highly likely that it would also mean that multiple states, …

Your Hometown on Multiculturalism
20 Mar 2013
2:38 pm
Dave Blount
Peter Roberts gasps in horror at what multiculturalism and the practice of importing massive hordes of welfare colonists have done to the homey suburb where he grew up:
When you see your homeland, which was what Greenacre was, turned into a minefield, or a battlefield, or a refuge of drug dealers, criminals, drive-by shooters and terror – you find yourself in a quandary. It’s all part and parcel of the greater good, of the New Australia, of the emergence of alternative cultures – it’s just a settling-in process.
Whatever the apologists say, …

USDA to Furlough Meat Inspectors While Advertising Food Stamps in Mexico

Here is how Wikipedia describes the Washington Monument Syndrome…
The Washington Monument syndrome, also known as the Mount Rushmore Syndrome, or the firemen first principle, is a political tactic used in the United States by government agencies when faced with budget cuts. The tactic entails cutting the most visible or appreciated service provided by the government, from popular services such as national parks and libraries to valued public employees such as teachers and firefighters. The name derives from the National Park Service’s alleged habit of saying that any cuts would lead …

Jeb Bush Won’t Rule Out Presidential Bid, Releases New Book on Immigration
4 Mar 2013
6:17 pm
Bettina Inclan
Jeb Bush, the outspoken former Florida Governor, isn’t ready to confirm any 2016 bid; instead he is more focused on doing what he is best known for, being an ideas man who gets results.
“I have a voice, I want to share my beliefs about how the conservative movement and the Republican Party can regain its footing, because we’ve lost our way,” Bush told Today Show host Matt Lauer on Monday.
Bush said he wouldn’t rule out presidential run, “but I won’t declare today either,” he said to Lauer.
One area Bush is …

USDA Assures Mexican Welfare Colonists That Sponging Off Food Stamps Won’t Prevent Citizenship
19 Feb 2013
2:10 pm
Dave Blount
Harbor any doubts that the Obama Regime is deliberately importing a massive welfare-dependent underclass to displace the American population? Then read this:
The United States Department of Agriculture has been working to dispel immigrants’ concerns that getting on Food Stamps will harm their chances of becoming U.S. citizens.
The USDA addresses those fears in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or food stamp, brochures it distributes to Mexican consulates as part of its “partnership” with the Mexican government “to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance.”
Incidentally, this …

Democrats Want Background Checks… Except When They Don’t
18 Feb 2013
3:30 pm
Warner Todd Huston
One of the main discussions in this ginned up, fact-free anti-gun debate coming from the Democrats and their fellow extreme leftists is that they want “universal background checks” for gun purchases. So, “background checks” are a good idea to left-wingers… but in all cases? As it happens, NO is the answer to that. Democrats don’t want universal background checks in all cases.
Jams Bovard shows us this fact quite clearly in his recent Wall Street Journal piece headlined, “Perform Criminal Background Checks at Your Peril.”
Now, Bovard isn’t talking about the gun …

My Amazing, Earth-Shattering, Dynamic, Never-Before-Seen Analysis Of The State Of The Union

OK, I confess: I didn’t actually watch the speech.
I tried, I really did.
Well, okay, I didn’t even really try.
I did manage to muddle through the first few minutes of the speech as I waited for my wife to get ready to go out to dinner – which basically amounted to waiting until President Obama said something that made me want to utter several choice words that I try not to vocalize, since I don’t really want my 2-year-old adding them to her vocabulary. As more time goes on, I seem …

Rand Paul On Illegals: Trust But Verify
10 Feb 2013
9:11 am
William Teach
Senator Rand Paul has written an editorial piece for the Washington Times which makes a few good points regarding any sort of illegal immigration legislation
I am in favor of immigration reform. I am also wary of reforms granted now for a promise of border security later. In 1986, Ronald Reagan signed a deal that made just such a promise, yet we are still waiting for the border security that never came. Conservatives are also still waiting for the promised three dollars in spending cuts for every dollar in tax hikes. …

Here We Go Again: A Discussion with NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks
30 Jan 2013
10:14 am
Matt Vespa
With the “Gang of Eight” announcing their immigration reform package yesterday, I’m sure many American found the deal sensible, rational, and fair. It’s a bipartisan deal, which pleases the independent segments of the electorate, and has Sen. Marco Rubio endorsing it wholeheartedly. Immigration keeps the United States economically vibrant, unlike Europe, which has become older, grayer, and more Islamized. We should welcome immigrants, but not at the cost of undermining our economic interests – which is what NumbersUSA, an organization dedicated to common sense immigration reform, is trying to tell members …

Obama’s Itching For A Fight On Illegal Immigrants
30 Jan 2013

William Teach
For all his rhetoric regarding coming together, the man is constantly looking for a fight, and will create one if necessary. He flew across the country to Las Vegas and then back to make yet another campaign speech Tuesday
(NY Times) Speaking at a high school here in a state that has seen rapid growth in its Hispanic population, the president praised a bipartisan group of senators who proposed their own sweeping immigration overhaul a day earlier, saying their plan was very much in line with his own proposals.
Mr. Obama warned, …

Here Comes the Flood

You know the country is in deep trouble when the leftist radicals at CNN bask in bipartisanship:
An immigration proposal crafted for months in secret by a high-profile, bipartisan cadre of senators is both a rare moment of simpatico in politics and a matter of political practicality.
President Barack Obama, who won re-election with strong support from Latinos, the fastest-growing demographic, has called an overhaul of immigration a second-term priority. Meanwhile, Republicans who lost the Latino vote by large numbers, have signaled that mainstream members might be willing to compromise on thorny …

Surprise: Democrats Have No Intention Of Securing The Border Before Amnesty
29 Jan 2013
6:49 am
William Teach
While Soros funded Think Progress is saying that the border is more secure than ever (at least on paper, what with all those pesky illegals sneaking across, plus drug runners, plus the Obama admin running guns the other way), other Democrats are saying “yeah, don’t worry about that border securing commission”, and
(Washington Post) That’s a legitimate worry, according to Frank Sharry, the executive director of America’s Voice, a group advocating for immigration reform. But he tells me that on a conference call yesterday, Democratic Senators reassured immigration advocates that this …

Here We Go Again: Gang Of 8 Pushes “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”
28 Jan 2013

Which, just like in 2007, is all about amnesty for people who came to this country illegally or overstayed their visas while giving lip service to border control
(NY Times) A bipartisan group of senators has agreed on a set of principles for a sweeping overhaul of the immigration system, including a pathway to American citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants that would hinge on progress in securing the borders and ensuring that foreigners leave the country when their visas expire.
The senators were able to reach a deal by incorporating the …

What Amnesty Means For The Country In Practical Terms: 7 Million New Welfare Recipients
28 Jan 2013
12:40 am
John Hawkins
Is it mean to point that out if it’s the truth?
The U.S. doesn’t need unskilled labor. The authors trot out “The nation needs energetic young workers to spur the economy and support an ever-increasing social-welfare burden.” Uh, immigrants are around twice as likely as the native-born to be poor and use welfare. Among Hispanic immigrants, who represent the lion’s share of the low-skilled workers the op-ed says we need “to support an ever-increasing social-welfare burden,” the majority are on welfare. This isn’t because they’re lazy spongers — fully one-third of …

Marco Rubio Sells Out Conservatives By Bringing Back His Version Of The Kennedy/McCain Amnesty Plan
15 Jan 2013

John Hawkins
Marco Rubio swore up and down that he opposed amnesty for illegal aliens when he ran for the Senate. In fact, in a teleconference I was on with Rubio and DeMint back in 2009, he had this to say about amnesty.
On your website, you take a tough anti-illegal stance, but I’ve heard complaints that people didn’t like your stance on illegal immigration when you were Speaker of the House in Florida. (Question from me to Marco Rubio)
There were a number of bills that didn’t pass when I was Speaker. They …
