Missouri House Passes Law That Nullifies Violations of the 2nd Amendment
29 Apr 2013
1:25 pm
John Hawkins
Missouri’s House has passed new legislation by a 117-43 vote that says, “federal official(s) must not enforce a federal firearm law when the firearm is manufactured and remains in the state and that any new federal law banning or restricting ownership of a semi-automatic firearm is unenforceable.”
In other words, new federal gun legislation would be null and void in the state and any federal agent who attempts to enforce it could face jail time in the state.
The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Casey Guernsey (R-Bethany) said,
“The Second Amendment says we have the …
Schumer, McCain, Obama Not Giving Up on Gun Grab

Nice as it is that the Left’s gun grab stalled in the Senate, we can hardly afford to let our guard down. Freedom’s enemies are like rust, endlessly eating away until everything crumbles.
The Senate will try again to pass recently defeated gun control legislation, and will be aided by increasing activism from previously neutral voters, Sen. Chuck Schumer predicted [Thursday] at a press conference.
“I think we will bring the bill back before the end of the year… lots of Senators who thought it was safe to vote against it …
Manchin’s New Push for Gun Control and the Dangers of Indulging Incremental Tyranny

Some guys just don’t learn…
Democratic Senator Joe Manchin was dealt a significant blow earlier this month as the Senate failed to pass the Toomey-Manchin Amendment to the doomed anti-gun rights legislation. The amendment served as a much-touted “compromise” to strengthen the background check process. It failed 54-46 as the amendment needed 60 votes to pass.
Now, Manchin is back and is claiming that he will be pushing for more gun control from a Senate that voted and rejected his proposal.
Manchin told “Fox News Sunday” that he’s going to rework the proposal …
You Might Be A Democrat

You might be a Democrat if you believe…
Fighting against government-subsidized contraceptives constitutes a “war on women,” but when Islamists stone a woman to death because she was raped, it is just “cultural differences.”
The Second Amendment only guarantees the people’s right to own a musket, yet viewing Internet pornography in a public library is protected by the First.
Teaching multiple origin theories in public schools is an abhorrent dilution of science curriculum, but in history class, class time should focus on the contributions of homosexuals and ethnic minorities.
Teenagers should be able to …
Kansas Passes Law That Nullifies Violations of the 2nd Amendment
28 Apr 2013
11:25 am
John Hawkins
Kansas has now passed the strongest pro-gun law in America. The bill nullifies any attempts by the federal government to pass new gun control restrictions on the state. It also specifically forbids federal law enforcement officials from restricting Second Amendment rights in the state.
In other words, if let’s say a gun registry were put in place, not only would Kansas law enforcement officials refuse to implement the law, they also would not allow members of the federal government to enforce the law in their state.
Intriguingly, Kansas isn’t the only …
John McCain Says He Wants To Bring Gun Control Legislation Back
27 Apr 2013

John McCain’s entire political career has been based off sticking his thumb in the eye of conservatives to get applause from his liberal admirers in the mainstream media. It’s how he has been a senator for so long, it’s how he became a national figure and it’s how he became the GOP’s nominee for the presidency.
Of course, it’s also part of the reason that he LOST the presidency. A lot of conservatives simply wouldn’t turn out to vote for the man.
That being said, John McCain is also an extremely vindictive …
3D-Printed Guns Can’t Be Stopped

According to many at the 3D Printing Conference and Expo, 3D-printed guns are inevitable despite the efforts of some 3D printer companies and politicians to try and stop it.
The expo now underway in New York revealed opposing views on the issue of printed firearms, but according to 3D gun advocate Cody Wilson, 3D-printed guns are not only already here but should be legal.
Wilson, the founder and director of Defense Distributed, scoffed at claims by other conference speakers that 3D-printed guns are still not technologically viable. “No, it’s here today,” he …
Back Door Gun Control? GE Capital Stops Lending To Gun Shops
25 Apr 2013

No matter what the Constitution, Congress or the American people say, liberals will NEVER give up on the idea of gun control. They are determined to disarm the American people by hook or crook and anything that makes guns less available to law abiding Americans, they’re going to support.
That brings us to General Electric.
It’s been suckling at the government’s teat since Obama came into office. GE received a 139 billion deal in 2009, it paid no corporate taxes on 5 billion dollars in profit in 2011 and it got …
Poll: During a Manhunt, The Overwhelming Majority of Americans Want A Gun

When Boston residents were hunkered down in their homes waiting for the police to find the Boston bombers, you can bet that most of them were wishing that they had a gun. Arkansas Republican Nate Bell said as much in a tweet while it was going on.
“I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine?” #2A — Nate Bell (@NateBell4AR) April 19, 2013
Of course, liberals complained and said Bell was being “insensitive,” so being a politician, he …
The Obama Mafia Gets the Private Sector to do its Anti-Gun Dirty Work

The Obama political machine is ruthless. It is a force that drives to coerce, extort, bully and suppress the opposition while simultaneously seizing power in a manner with the ruthlessness reminiscent of Michael Corleone dispatching the heads of the five families.
In addition to the enormous power Obama wields as president, the Obama Campaign has become Organizing for America, a “nonpartisan” advocacy group that is the divided-off henchmen of a corrupt politician who wants to influence policy both from the inside and the outside of the Oval Office.
Now, the president who …
Support For Gun Control Slips Further
23 Apr 2013

As the USA Today reports, this is supposedly partly due to the emotional slippage of time, as we move further and further away from actions of Adam Lanza. We can also presuppose that Americans realize that the laws offered (and in some cases, passed) will do little to nothing to stop the perpetrators. And that most of the legislation is aimed at law abiding citizens and their 2nd Amendment rights
Four months after the shooting rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School, a USA TODAY Poll finds support for a new gun-control …
Whew! Divide Between Gun Owners And Gun Grabbers Not As Bad As Between Slave/Non-Slave States

Guess which type of state people who believe in the 2nd Amendment would be considered. The Washington Post’s editorial page editor, Fred Hiatt, discusses the Red State/Blue State schism
In the week since modest gun control died in the Senate, those of us who don’t think guns make the country safer have been inclined to blame a few cowardly senatorswhose votes could have shifted the outcome.
Unfortunately, the problem is bigger than that. Contrary to what then-Sen. Barack Obama told us in his inspiring breakout speech to the Democratic convention of 2004, …
Gun Control Bill FAILS in OBAMA’S LIBERAL HOME STATE
21 Apr 2013
11:13 am
John Hawkins
This time around, liberals thought gun control was in the bag. Barack Obama is in the White House, liberals control the Senate, the mainstream media was putting on a full court press and they had a crisis in Aurora that they were determined not to waste.
This time, they were going to slam gun control through and there was nothing that anyone could do about it!
Except conservatives opposed the bill, the NRA wouldn’t back down and gun companies started fleeing the states that passed gun control. Republicans in the Senate …
NJ Gov. Christie Announces Lots Of Gun Control

Hey, remember when some Conservatives were really hot to trot with Chris Christie, and really wanted him to run for President, or at least be on the ticket as VP? And some said “hey, um, he may have some good qualities for Conservatives, but, really, he’s about as squishy a Republican as it gets?” Yeah, um.
(NJ 101.5) Gov. Chris Christie unveiled gun control and violence prevention measures that are as comprehensive as they are ambitious.
Christie acknowledges there is no way to prevent all violence in our society, but he says …
Gun Control: President Stompy Foots Biggest Loss

Welcome to democracy, pal! (yes, yes, I know we have a Republic, but it’s part of the Democratic model where people take votes)
Gun control: President Obama’s biggest loss
Never before had President Barack Obama put the moral force and political muscle of his presidency behind an issue quite this big — and lost quite this badly.
The president, shaken to the core by the massacre of 26 innocents at Sandy Hook Elementary School, broke his own informal “Obama Rule” — of never leaning into an issue without a clear path to victory …
A Rude Display of Government Gone Wild

In a free country, the police are the good guys. But this isn’t always the case in a country run by oligarchical collectivists, particularly when the ruling class has been going out of its way to gin up anti-gun hysteria — as Army Master Sergeant C.J. Grisham and his son learned the hard way:
A decorated war veteran on a Boy Scout hike with his 15-year-old son was arrested alongside a Texas country road after a police officer accused him of “rudely displaying” a firearm.
Army Master Sgt. C.J. Grisham told Fox …
Bummer: Gun Control Bill In Peril

What The Politico’s John Breshanan and Jake Sherman seem to be referring to is the Manchin-Toomey background checks bill
The tough gun-control bill that President Barack Obama wants now has little, if any, chance of passing this Congress – it’s struggling in the Senate and facing outright rejection in the House.
Vice President Joe Biden worked the phones Monday to try to salvage a bipartisan bill in the Senate but has come up short. Personal appeals from parents of Newtown victims and former Rep. Gabby Giffords haven’t worked either.
And even if Senate …
Gun Rights Group That Almost No One Has Heard Of Backs Manchin-Toomey Legislation
15 Apr 2013
8:56 am

This makes the Liberals at the Washington Post really, really happy, though, really, the Manchin-Toomey legislation is not much more than a token bill, which wouldn’t have stopped Newtown, Aurora, the Gabby Giffords shooting, Nidal Hasan, won’t stop the violence in Chicago, etc
In anticipation of Senate votes this week on a proposed expansion of criminal background checks for firearms sales, one gun rights organization broke with the powerful National Rifle Association on Sunday to urge support for a compromise drafted by Sens. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.) and Patrick J. Toomey …
Pastor Rick Warren, Gun Control, and Matthew Warren’s Suicide
14 Apr 2013
6:24 pm
Warner Todd Huston
Pastor Rick Warren and his family suffered a devastating loss last week when their son, Matthew, took his own life with a pistol that he may have bought illegally from a person he contacted over the Internet. Dealing with such a loss is heartrending, of course, and the Warren family has much to endure as they deal with this terrible incident. But one thing is sure, new gun laws would not have prevented Matthew Warren’s suicide.
Warren’s son, Matthew Warren, committed suicide on April 5 with a self-inflicted gunshot. After news …
ESPN Claim: Two NASCAR Drivers Told To Avoid Interviews With NRA Logo In The Background

NASCAR and the NRA go together like peanut butter and jelly, but the “NRA 500″ coming up Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway is proving to be more controversial than expected.
As a publicity stunt, Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut asked Fox News not to run the event because of the NRA sponsorship. Murphy’s complaint seems to have had even less of an impact than you’d expect. Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said there had been very few complaints.
“We’ve had fewer than a dozen responses….There is no controversy …
