Politicians’ Immoral Behavior Becoming Acceptable
  8 Jul 2011     1:25 pm      Rachel Alexander

Politicians today are getting away with higher levels of disgraceful behavior. Even just a few years ago it was a shock when a high-level political official did something immoral or promoted inappropriate values. When former Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders said in 1994 that masturbation should be promoted to deter young people from engaging in risky sex, President Clinton fired her. Clinton himself was impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998 for perjury relating to his extramarital liaison with Monica Lewinsky and sexual harassment of Paula Jones.
Now, the media scarcely …

Gay “Mafia” Threatens Traditional Marriage Supporters and Misses the Point
  6 Jul 2011     5:48 pm      Jane Jamison

Cross-posted at UNCOVERAGE.net:
Supporters of traditional marriage in the state of Washington are experiencing what Californians against gay marriage suffered in 2008: Lesbian/gay/bi-sexual/transgender/queers posing as “activists”  can threaten to kill you and your family, destroy your property and business, and harass anyone associated with you and get away with it.  In the meantime, the gay “Mafia” totally misses the point of its mission.

United Nations Endorses Gay And Transgender Rights, Islamic States Protest
  18 Jun 2011     8:32 am      William Teach

That’s very nice of them. I’m not gay, but, I believe people deserve to be treated equally. But, notice which countries were against this
The United Nations issued its first condemnation of discrimination against gays, lesbians and transgender people on Friday in a cautiously worded declaration hailed by supporters including the United States as a historic moment.
Members of the U.N. Human Rights Council narrowly voted in favor of the resolution put forward by South Africa, against strong opposition from African and Islamic countries.
Muslim countries were against this? Shocking! All part of …

Wash Post’s Cohen: GOP Should Compromise… Like They Did With Slavery?
11 May 2011     1:07 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Richard Cohen is what passes for an opinion editorialist in the Washington Post — not a learned one, just a bloviating one. Cohen’s latest, “The Myth of American Exceptionalism,” is at the same time as self-loathing as it is historically stupid. Not only does this nonsense Cohen ladled out upon us all serve an example that you don’t have to actually know anything to be in our modern Old Media establishment, but it is evidence that the profession of editor is long dead.
In his ten paragraphs Cohen indulges every left-wing …

Obama Uses UN to Push Homosexual Agenda
  24 Mar 2011     3:16 pm      Dave Blount

The US Constitution protects our freedom by affirming natural rights. This is why our liberal rulers reject its authority in favor of the United Nations, which attacks our freedom by inventing unnatural rights that are not rights at all but arbitrary dictates and special privileges handed down from on high. One example is the use of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to attack the Second Amendment. Here’s another example:
The Obama administration on Tuesday called on the United Nations Human Rights Council to fight discrimination against gays …

It’s entirely possible that, when it comes to gay marriage and the First Amendment, pluralism won’t work.
  28 Feb 2011     5:37 pm      Bookworm

Rodney King got his 15 minutes of fame for (a) getting beaten up while resisting arrest; (b) having his name attached to some horrific riots; and (c) plaintively asking “Can we get along?” The last is a great thought. I’d like to get along with people better myself. “Getting along,” though, presupposes that people have the same goals and values. In our pluralist society, even when we have differences, we mostly limp along all right. Elections shuttle different value systems in and out of power …

It’s About The Courts, Not Public Opinion For Supporters Of Gay Marriage
  24 Feb 2011     4:11 am      John Hawkins

Many people have wondered why liberals get furious at conservatives for believing marriage should be between a man and a woman, when they don’t get angry at Barack Obama, who claims to believe the same thing.
There’s a simple reason for that: Liberals believe he’s lying.
Incidentally, they’re right.
The Obama administration announced Wednesday that it had withdrawn its legal support for the federal Defense of Marriage Act, stating that the law is unconstitutional and therefore the administration is under no obligation to defend it.
Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. said in a …

Chicago Media Ignores African-American Rally Against Same-Sex Marriage
24 Jan 2011     12:46 pm      Warner Todd Huston

I suppose we shouldn’t be surprised that a rally held by a coalition of Chicago-area black pastors that gathered to warn Illinois against same-sex marriage and civil unions was ignored by the Old Media in Chicago. Still, as unsurprising as it it, it’s a bit galling that this event went unreported on.
The Illinois Family Institute posted a January 19 article on the snubbing by the Old Media that charges the Chicago media with an anti-Christian bias. It’s nearly impossible to deny the charge, too.
The press conference was held to call …

Gay activists target Chick-Fil-A
  15 Jan 2011     3:12 pm      Chris Wysocki

To the proponents of the radical homosexual agenda tolerance only goes one way. We must tolerate them, or else. As for their tolerance toward others, not so much.
The latest target of their ire is Chick-Fil-A. The restaurant chain is under fire because, horror of horrors, a single local franchisee promised to donate some sandwiches to an upcoming marriage conference. Can you guess why? Yup, it’s a Christian marriage conference.
The gay rights crowd can’t possible accept someone being generous toward those who actually believe …

Liberal Judge with Radical Activist Wife Refuses to Step Down from Gay Marriage Appeal
  2 Dec 2010     6:58 pm      Jane Jamison

His wife has worked for the American Civil Liberties Union and until just recently, was one of the most vocal opponents of Proposition 8 in the country, but hey, this is CALIFORNIA justice talking here.   Judge Stephen Reinhardt, the most liberal judge on the liberal, wacky and most-often reversed-by the-Supreme-Court  appellate court in the country says hell no, he will not recuse himself from hearing the appeal  on trial for the California Proposition  8 constitutional amendment to outlaw gay marriage.   He says he can be fair, because…..he says so.

Redefining redefining marriage
  8 Aug 2010     4:35 pm      Ron Coleman

Let’s get real simple here.
The crux of the issue is whether, if indeed marriage is a right under the Constitution, there is also a right to change the meaning of the word “marriage” from what it always meant to what we just plain want it to mean.
In other words, the “marriage” that is a “right” under the Constitution was marriage:  Matrimony binding a man and woman in a unique way consistent with social norms regarding family life.
It is true that there was a time that it was against the law …

Rosie O’Donnell Says Her Marriage was a Political Protest, Gays Treated Like Holocaust in America
8 Aug 2010     11:34 am      Warner Todd Huston

In yet one more example among thousands, we see why loud-mouth, extreme left-wing talker Rosie O’Donnell is wholly unworthy of a national forum. In a recent segment of her satellite radio show Rosie Radio, O’Donnell idiotically claimed that gays were being “rounded up” in America so that a “pink triangle” could be slapped on them just like they were during the Holocaust. But just as obscenely, O’Donnell admitted that her marriage to Kelly Carpenter was only a political statement, one of “civil disobedience,” instead of a marriage of love proving …

The Right Side Of The Blogosphere’s Reaction To The Prop 8 Ruling
  5 Aug 2010     11:17 am      John Hawkins

One of the more despicable things about liberalism is the way that it has destroyed the rule of law in this country. That’s because when the laws conflict with liberalism, liberal judges have no qualms whatsoever about substituting their own judgment for the law, for the will of the people, or the decisions of legislators. In other words, justice isn’t blind in this country; it’s random. No matter how right you are, if you have a liberal judge making the ruling, ideology always trumps the law. So it was yesterday …

Father’s Day 2010: ‘Love’ Does NOT Make a ‘Family’
20 Jun 2010     10:44 am      Warner Todd Huston

On the eve of Father’s Day, I heard on the air on Chicago’s WIND AM some typical left-wing babble about families. A fellow calling himself a doctor waxed eloquent over how we can “make our own families,” and how “families aren’t just about blood. They are about love.” Nice, gauzy, and wholly inadequate to truly define the importance of family, isn’t it? But it is this mushy-headed thinking that is so destructive to the role of real families in America today, especially where it concerns fathers. So, on this 2010 …

Another School-Makes-Little-Boys-Cross-Dress Story
18 Jun 2010     11:10 am      Warner Todd Huston

In April I had a story that raised a ruckus in New Jersey. To celebrate women’s history month, Maude Wilkins Elementary School thought it would be cool for their grade school students to dress like women… yes, even the little boys. Well this moth yet another east coast grade school is trying to force its little boys to cross-dress, this time in New York.
Andrea Peyser reports that a Roosevelt Island school for children with special needs — The Child School and Legacy High School, a private school — decided to …

MSNBC: Kids Don’t Need Fathers
  8 Jun 2010     2:55 pm      Dave Blount

Father’s Day is coming up a week from Sunday. MSNBC has begun to honor it already — by proclaiming that fathers are needed only for their sperm:
Being raised by a same-sex couple is no hindrance to healthy psychological development, researchers say as the first generation of children conceived by lesbians through donor insemination is coming of age.
In fact, lesbian mothers rated their 17-year-olds higher in social and academic skills, and lower in rule-breaking and aggression, than did mothers of teenagers who also had a father.
Yet despite the agenda it so …

NJ Grade Schools Makes Kids Dress as Women for Woman’s History Month — Yes Even Boys
12 Apr 2010     3:16 pm      Warner Todd Huston

To celebrate women’s history month this year, grade school boys are being forced to dress up like women at the Maple Shade School District in Burlington County, New Jersey and some parents are none too happy about it.
According to Beth F. Norcia, Principal of the Maude Wilkins Elementary School, the cross-dressing scheme was set up as a contest to celebrate women’s history month among the Burlington County schools.
The idea, says Principal Norcia, is for the kids to dress up as women through various periods of American history. When a nonplussed …

Union Chief Claims He Witnessed ‘Racism’ At Tea Party…Yeah, Riiiiight
9 Apr 2010     1:55 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Not long ago Andrew Breitbart issued a challenge to the anti-tea party left to show proof that the “N” word was thrown at black members of Congress by Tea Party protesters in their walk to Congress just prior to their passage on Obamacare. In fact, Breitbart has offered $100,000 for video or audio proof of any racism during that incident. No one on the left has been able meet the challenge.
On the April 7, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka was giving a speech at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and in …
