Activist Masha Gessen on the Real Purpose of the Marriage Push
  18 Apr 2013     1:19 pm      Dave Blount

At last some honesty from the Left, which we all know is not on the level with its sudden urgent concern that homosexuals have their sexual liaisons sanctified by the government as legitimate marriages. Lesbian journalist Masha Gessen, as quoted by Micah Clark, spells out what they are actually up to:
“It’s a no-brainer that [homosexuals] should have the right to marry [each other], but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. … (F)ighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what …

Can Marriage Be Just About ‘Love’?
5 Apr 2013     5:37 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Illinois’ centrist Republican Senator Mark Kirk was the latest Republican to join the crusade for gay marriage. On Tuesday morning the Senator posted a message on his website that claimed that marriage was all about love. But, is it? Does it make sense to make “love” a determining criteria to define marriage? Logic would not only say no, but would point out the danger in the characterization.
In his short message, Kirk said, “Our time on this earth is limited, I know that better than most. Life comes down to who …

CNN Opinion ‘You are a Bigot if You Oppose Gay Marriage’
1 Apr 2013     9:11 pm      Warner Todd Huston

CNN recently launched a new podcast project headed by Dean Obeidallah and in its second episode the trio of hosts pondered whether or not one is a bigot for opposing gay marriage.
Obeidallah, who bills himself as a “political comedian,” co-hosts the podcast with CNN commentator, GOP consultant, and gay rights activist Margaret Hoover and John Avalon, who is billed as a “centrist” despite that he is an employee of CNN and the left-wing Daily Beast website. There are no strictly conservative contributors on CNN’s new The Big Three podcast, but …

Starbucks CEO To Christians For Traditional Marriage: Go to Hell!
  31 Mar 2013     5:17 am      John Hawkins

At the annual Starbucks shareholders meeting, shareholder Tom Strobhar noted that Starbucks’ support for gay marriage in Washington state had led to a boycott which cost the company revenue. Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz responded to Strobhar’s complaint by telling him that he could, “sell your shares in Starbucks and buy shares in another company.”
That sort of arrogant, obnoxious and anti-Christian attitude is exactly why Dump Starbucks was able to gather more than 59,000 signatures on its anti-Starbucks petition even before this latest insult.

“I am deeply offended by your corporate position …

Does Rush Limbaugh Really Believe That Gay Marriage “Is Now Inevitable?”
  30 Mar 2013     7:42 am      John Hawkins

One of the worst things about the Internet is that a lot of people don’t get sarcasm or irony and as fans of Rush Limbaugh know, he drops both like anvils out of a helicopter. So, did Rush Limbaugh say that gay marriage, “is now inevitable?”
Yes, but what did he actually mean? For that, you have to read between the lines.

The Republican Party is doing everything it can to send the signal that it would be okay with some form of amnesty, it’d be okay with some form …

Rush: Republicans Lost Marriage Debate Once We Modified The Language
  29 Mar 2013     8:22 am      William Teach

An interesting theory, based on a note a friend sent to him
(Rush) The language game, the left really excels at changing the language to benefit them politically, and they do it in such a way that a lot of people on our side have no idea what’s happened until it’s too late and the issue is already lost, which this issue is. This issue is lost. I don’t care what the Supreme Court does, this is now inevitable — and it’s inevitable because we lost the language on …

Gay Marriage: What’s in It for Michael Bloomberg?
  27 Mar 2013     11:44 am      Dave Blount

The authoritarian statist Michael Bloomberg has used his power to suppress guns, cigarettes, salt, trans fats, soda pop, baby formula, and even Styrofoam, but there is one thing he isn’t against: the distortion of marriage to encompass deviant same-sex relationships. His deep pockets allow him to extend his authority beyond NYC’s borders. Just as he recently dumped $12 million into television ads propagandizing against the Second Amendment, he has donated generously to political candidates who will push his sexual agenda.
Our ruling oligarchy has been laying the groundwork for the current …

Maddow: “Rights are not supposed to be open to popularity contests”
  27 Mar 2013     7:12 am      William Teach

In arguing in support for same sex marriage, Rachel Maddow‘s blog (the post is actually written by Steve Benen) actually makes the case that The Government, and we’re looking at mostly elected Democrats, should back off on gun control
Rights are not supposed to be open to popularity contests. Throughout American history, if all contentious decisions over civil rights were left solely to popular will and the political process, progress would have been very slow, indeed. It’s precisely why Americans have turned to their last available option — the courts — …

Get The Government Out Of Marriage
  27 Mar 2013     12:01 am      Robert Cleveland

The United States Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in a suit over California’s Prop 8, which amended the state’s constitution to define marriage as being between one man and one woman.  The LGBT lobby has been fighting Prop 8 tooth and nail since even before the bill was up for a vote, and the latest court ruling, which came from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, overturned the amendment.  Despite anything written in the U.S. Constitution, there really is no telling how the Supreme Court will come down in …

Ain’t Nobody Got Time for Starbucks!
25 Mar 2013     1:06 pm      Anna Maria Hoffman

by Anna Maria Hoffman
At Starbucks’ annual meeting, CEO Howard Schultz told shareholder Tom Strobhar that he should stop buying shares in the corporation because he does not support “marriage equality.” (Wait a second, when did it change from “gay marriage” or “same-sex marriage”?)
After Mr. Strobhar noted that Starbucks’ sales and earnings plummeted after National Organization for Marriage announced its “Dump Starbucks” boycott, CEO Schultz said (click on link to watch the video).
Thankfully, this is not Mr. Strobhar’s only instance of standing up for marriage. He actively advocates for its protection …

After Re-election, Claire McCaskill Sorta Comes Out For Gay Marriage
  25 Mar 2013     9:16 am      William Teach

And attempts to use the Bible to back her play, which, as written, can get a bit squishy and would allow her to dissemble when pressed
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. I Corinthians 13
Well, if she wants to really push Corinthians 13, then she should immediately give up all her wealth and do it with love
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I …

Department of Social Justice Attacks Motherhood
  4 Mar 2013     2:07 pm      Dave Blount

Lost in the “homophobia” smoke is just how radically liberal masterminds are attempting to transform society to conform to their warped ideology. Not even the concept of motherhood is safe:
The Obama Justice Department is arguing in the United States Supreme Court that children do not need mothers.
The Justice Department’s argument on the superfluity of motherhood is presented in a brief the Obama administration filed in the case of Hollingsworth v. Perry, which challenges the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that amended California’s Constitution to say that marriage …

It Gets Worse, with Dan Savage
22 Feb 2013     3:20 am      Anna Maria Hoffman

Dan Savage, an anti-bullying activist, has once again been caught red-handed bullying people who do not subscribe to his agenda. This week, he crossposted my vlog, “Why Did It Become Hateful to Support Marriage?”, to his wonderful, sexually explicit, and tolerant blog called Slog.
He not only charmingly called me a “dingbat,” but also did not understand the point of my video: to stop the hateful rhetoric thrown at people who want to restore a culture of marriage.
He also gave me more compliments in another Slog post, which featured some of my tweets.
Yesterday, he and I …

Why Did It Become Hateful to Support Marriage? (Video)
15 Feb 2013     3:34 am      Anna Maria Hoffman

Anna Maria Hoffman explains why it’s ridiculous that people should be labeled with words like “hateful,” “homophobic,” “heteronormative,” and “bigot” for wanting to restore a culture of marriage in society.

Now that Pope Benedict XVI has resigned who should replace him?
  12 Feb 2013     2:38 pm      Josh Bernstein

Pope Benedict XVI sudden resignation brings with it history, health, and heroics. He is the first Pope to resign in almost 600 years. His age, declining health, and strength were all reasons for his resignation.
The 85 year old head of the Catholic Church stated, “After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry. I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual …

On Wednesday, Floyd Lee Corkins II, who was responsible for the  Family Research Council shooting on August 15, 2012, pleaded guilty to three charges, which included committing an act of terrorism. While interviewed by the FBI, Corkins admitted that he wanted to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.”I was one of those people who could have been his victim. I was on the 6th floor of the FRC building working on my pro-life internship assignments. I could have lost my life. My …

How the left uses identity politics and fear tactics to influence voters
  5 Feb 2013     1:26 pm      Josh Bernstein

Although Barack Obama’s inauguration was a few weeks ago this article will still touch on some of the language he spoke as well as the meaning behind his words. I will also explain in great detail how the left uses identity politics to influence certain voters and alienate others.
Language can be a great indicator of future behavior. Barack Obama’s second inaugural speech revealed many clues that not only showed how this man thinks, but more importantly how he will likely continue to govern.
What many Americans heard in his speech was …

UK Guardian: Pedophiles Need Support
6 Jan 2013     11:21 pm      Warner Todd Huston

The paper the Guardian has become Britain’s newest champion for a minority of sorts. In a January 3 article, the UK paper has taken up the cause of pedophiles who claim they are just “ordinary members of society” that only need a little understanding.
The paper seriously presented pedophiles as but a misunderstood minority that do no real harm. As Telegraph writer Damian Thompson points out, “this is not some sick send-up” on his point. The UK Guardian is wholly serious.
Guardian feature columnist Jon Henley uncritically quotes convicted pedophiles like Tom …

Profiles in Moonbattery: Ronnie D. McMillian
  21 Dec 2012     1:14 pm      Dave Blount

Militant leftists got this far by aggressively pushing the envelope, so you can expect them to push it even further. However, even now they can get in trouble when they push it too far too fast, as a homosexual privilege advocate from Hawthorne, New Jersey recently discovered:
U.S. Magistrate Judge Cathy L. Waldor ordered the detention and evaluation of Ronnie D. McMillian, 27, who was arrested by the FBI on Wednesday.
McMillian was charged with two counts of using the telephone to threaten injury to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and a constituent …
