America’s Future Tomorrow, Today In Greece! Part 471
  18 Oct 2011     5:24 am      John Hawkins

Every American should be following what’s going on in Greece today because the biggest difference between Greece and us is that it’s a decade or two farther down the same road we’re on as a nation. Greece is all about big government and socialism; there are extremely generous pensions and retirement plans and sky high taxes. Greece is spending far more than it can pay and those “evil rich” people in the private sector have been beaten into the ground.
So, how’s that working out for them?
Behind the scenes the race …

Europe Slips Towards The Abyss! Wheeeeeeeeee!
  14 Sep 2011     5:54 am      John Hawkins

The European Union is about to shake itself apart, Greece is on its knees, and there are Western European nations sure to follow. So what’s the Democrats’ reaction? Hey, let’s be more like those guys. Let’s spend more like they do, let’s copy their health care systems, let’s make our government bigger, like their government.
What could go wrong?
Sir Howard Davies, former chairman of Britain’s Financial Services Authority, said on BBC Radio’s Today programme on Tuesday morning that he thought the French government was only days away from having to recapitalise …

British Postal Service Refuses to Deliver “Offensive” Christian CDs
  13 Sep 2011     2:13 pm      Dave Blount

From the UK comes another good reason to let the US Postal Service finally die already:
Postal workers refused to deliver CDs of Bible readings after deciding they were ‘offensive material’.
Several churches had paid for discs with recordings of St Mark’s Gospel to be produced to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.
They were due to be delivered to all households on the Channel Island of Jersey, but church leaders were stunned when they were told postal workers would not handle the 45,000 CDs.
The reason: Christianity might offend people …

You know It’s Bad When Even Leftist British Comedian Says England ‘No Longer English’
7 Sep 2011     12:52 pm      Warner Todd Huston

Wow. You know it’s gotten bad in the U.K. when a left-wing actor and British icon is now saying that his country has lost its essential Englishness. It looks like Monty Python alum John Cleese has “funny walked” his way into a bit of a controversy over his remarks, and this time from the left for a change.
Last week the 71-year-old comedian told a Sydney, Australia TV audience that London was “no longer an English city.”
You could see the steam come from the left’s ears over that one.
According to The …

Decade Of War
  7 Sep 2011     10:31 am      Courtney Messerschmidt

The last ten years has seen a semi unbound Great Satan – using her fire power, brain power, will power and staying power all across the globe in war.
Wars occur at unpredictable times, take unpredictable courses and have unexpected consequences.

Some wars are carefully planned, but even those wars rarely take place as expected. Think of the Germans in World War I, having planned the invasion of France for decades and with meticulous care. Nothing went as planned for either side, and the war did not take a course …

British Social Workers Confiscate Children
  6 Sep 2011     3:22 pm      Dave Blount

I wonder how motivated Britons would have been to bravely defend their homeland from the Nazis if they knew that only two generations later it would degenerate into a country so far from free that the government seizes children from their parents for not meeting bureaucrat-mandated body mass index requirements:
Four obese children are on the brink of being permanently removed from their family by social workers after their parents failed to bring their weight under control.
In the first case of its kind, their mother and father now face what they …

What’s The Real Reason Behind The U.K. Riots?
  11 Aug 2011     9:08 am      William Teach

After lots of leftist hand-wringing and excuse making from the liberal U.K. media, The Daily Mail’s Max Hasting decides to provide the real rationale behind the riots
Years of liberal dogma have spawned a generation of amoral, uneducated, welfare dependent, brutalised youngsters
A few weeks after the U.S. city of Detroit was ravaged by 1967 race riots in which 43 people died, I was shown around the wrecked areas by a black reporter named Joe Strickland.
He said: ‘Don’t you believe all that stuff people here are giving media folk about how …

R2P Or Not 2P

Totally tweetable!
New Millennium’s doctrinairish Responsibility To Protect in statecraft moderne can sweetly be – uh – shrunk – to like 3 characters. Perfect for policy cats au courant and future to drop like a mind bomb in nearly any environ!
See, a new school concept of the state maintains that states have a primary Responsibility 2 Protect their own people from genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes and crimes against humanity. An internat’l commitment by govs to prevent and react to crises wherever they may occur. Recog’d partially by UN as …

New York Times Blames American Conservatives for Norway Massacre
27 Jul 2011     11:56 am      Warner Todd Huston

(Just back from vacation so I am a few days late on this one, but…) The New York Times is never one to let a good tragedy go to waste when it can turn that sad incident into a bludgeon with which to bash American conservatives, even if the incident doesn’t have a thing to do with conservatives, D.C. politics, or even the U.S.A., for that matter. And so, not to disappoint, the Gray Lady incongruously used the terrorist incident in Norway to attack conservatives in America.
Anders Behring Breivik, the …

Why Angela Merkel Wouldn’t Follow Obama Over the Edge
  18 Jul 2011     2:50 pm      Dave Blount

You can’t call what Obama et al. are doing to the economy an honest mistake, because we have been down this road before, as have other countries like Germany.
Let’s see how Obama’s economic policies are faring at this point:
Obamanomics has produced the weakest, most anemic recovery since the 1930s, when another generation’s big-government planners turned their great recession into the Great Depression. To be fair, President George W. Bush certainly did not give the best economic handoff — he too was addicted to spending — but to be clear, President …

As a really girthy nation/state (ain’t none bigger bay bee!) Commonwealth Russia spans like a bunch of the earth’s surface.
And she hangs in a rough hood – hooked up border wise with semi rival new clear powers like Ppls Republic of China and crazy Dear Leader’s NoKo
As hostess with the mostess of those hot! Siberian resourceful resources Commonwealth’s Military is still suffering from that underwhelming blitz that finally licked Georgia’s peach plumb clean plus she needs her military to get up as close as possible to …

Saddam Hussein Torture Doctor at Work in British Hospital
  5 Jul 2011     1:13 pm      Dave Blount

Under socialized medicine, there is little incentive to become a doctor. Fortunately, Britain’s liberal immigration policies allow them to be imported from abroad:
A doctor involved in horrific torture by Saddam Hussein’s henchmen is working in British hospitals.
In an astonishing immigration scandal, border officials have allowed the suspected war criminal to treat thousands of British patients.
Dr Mohammed Kassim Al-Byati was given a permit to work as a doctor in the NHS by the Labour government in 2004.
Checks failed to uncover his history of working for the notorious Iraqi Intelligence Agency, which …

Swedish Preschool Devoted to Producing Androgynous Children
  27 Jun 2011     2:56 pm      Dave Blount

Sweden has taken the lead as liberals race downward to new depths of depravity in their ham-fisted efforts to reengineer civilization in their own grotesque image. While New York is still swinging a sledgehammer at the last remnants of holy matrimony, Swedes have advanced to brainwashing children into being androgynous:
At the “Egalia” preschool, staff avoid using words like “him” or “her” and address the 33 kids as “friends” rather than girls and boys.
From the color and placement of toys to the choice of books, every detail has been carefully planned …

Greek Crisis Could Trigger ‘Meltdown’
27 Jun 2011     7:49 am      Robert Stacy McCain

Last week, CNN resorted to psychics, astrologers and tarot-card readings in an effort to predict the economic future. Those of us who don’t commune with the spirit world are more concerned with the Greek debt crisis. One U.S. analyst said that the “downside” risk, if European leaders can’t come up with a bailout deal, “is effectively a financial system meltdown.”
The political situation in Greece is not encouraging. The Greek parliament will vote this week on an austerity plan — which bankers are demanding in order to extend the country further credit …

Sirens Of Isolationism

“O Tay Mr Peabody! Set the dial on the Way Back Machine to 1911!”
Prob the best descrip of the recent GOP Debatery that CNN King Grunting Guy kept grunting through (yeah – it was kinda gross)
“…Mitt Romney sounded not so terribly different from Obama on Afghanistan, with the crucial difference that he wants out faster. Michele Bachmann and virtually all of them thundered that we had no need to be involved in Libya, least of all by playing second fiddle to France (a …

Quislings Enable Islamic Thuggery in England
  14 Jun 2011     1:47 pm      Dave Blount

Conquering England isn’t easy. It hasn’t been done since 1066. Fortunately for Muslim invaders, they have help from quislings on the inside:
Victims say that officers in the borough of Tower Hamlets have ignored or downplayed outbreaks of hate crime, and suppressed evidence implicating Muslims in them, because they fear being accused of racism.
The claims come as four Tower Hamlets Muslims were jailed for at least 19 years for attacking a local white teacher who gave religious studies lessons to Muslim girls.
The Sunday Telegraph has uncovered more than a dozen other …

France Commemorates D-Day With Pacifist Moonbattery
  7 Jun 2011     2:49 pm      Dave Blount

Yesterday was the 67th anniversary of D-Day, on which 1,465 American soldiers died to liberate France from German National Socialists. The French government saw fit to commemorate the date by allowing a moonbat artist to clutter the beach with this tasteless desecration:

Original caption:
An installation of 1,000 casts of Russian, German and American combat helmets of WWII which also represent turtles, to denounce global violence, created by French artist Rachid Khimoune, is seen on Omaha Beach in Colleville sur Mer, western France, Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the eve of the …

The World Would Be Better Off If Greece Were Allowed To Crash And Burn
  31 May 2011     4:05 am      John Hawkins

Of course, it won’t happen. The IMF, the rest of Europe, the United States — nobody wants to see Greece go down the tubes. There are good reasons for that. It would have repercussions for the Euro, for other states in Europe, and there could be ramifications for the world economy.
Then there’s the human cost. What if the payments from Greece’s government simply stopped? What if hungry people could no longer get food and poor Greeks went hungry with no food to be had? What if the military and the …
